Chapter 6

Malik had said he wasn't messing with anything of Theodore's but someone was messing with something of his, Hayden Deck. This has been Theodore's and Marcus discussion since they came to office that morning. Marcus suggested he sends Hayden faraway or threaten him to stay away from Malik. Even though he hates siding with Theodore on this part, he has to since this one of the ways of hurting the billionaire.

'That would make me a villain, I don't want to be the fence between two Romeos, and I got a better idea' he said and left his office. Of course, Marcus followed him even though he didn't know Theodore's plan, he trusted it.

They headed to the dancing department and Theodore spoke to the instructor while his bodyguard stood aside, listening in on their conversation.

'Hayden showed up today, he looked sick so I asked him to go home' the instructor answered to Theodore question: where is Hayden.

'How sick' the young heir asked like he was asking about the weather.

'He has eye bags that he tried to cover with a congealer, his eyes was also swollen and he didn't seem focus like he had a bad break up or something' Ed, the instructor replied.

'Okay, you can go back to your class'

'Thank you, but Mr. Bradford is there a problem?' Ed said even with respect even though he was years older than Theodore.

'Nothing you should be worried about' he answered coldly, hating when people meddle in his business, 'Marcus, get his address' he said and he and his bodyguard left the dancing department.

'May I ask why we are going there?' Marcus said and pressed a button on the key that made the car drive out from to the parking lot to where they stood, outside the agency.

'I just want to talk'.

Hayden's neighborhood wasn't that poor but bet the rent would be more than thirty thousand dollar per year. Marcus rang the apartment bell while Theodore picked on his fingernails.

'Give me a minute' a voice called before the door opened half way revealing Hayden

'Who are you' Hayden asked, Marcus stepped aside and revealed Theodore who wore his business smile

'Mr. Bradford' he said, opening the door wide to welcome them in.

It was a small apartment but big enough for one person to live in, all furniture spoke that they were cheap just from looking, including the half eaten pizza pack and empty beer cans which Hayden quickly clean up.

"Ed wasn't lying, breakup mode" Theodore thought as he sat on the cleared couch.

'To what do I own this visit' Hayden asked, feeling too tensed to sit in front of his top boss.

'I heard you weren't well so I came to see you, are you better?'

'Yes sir, much better'

'Sit' Hayden wasted no time to do so. He heard about the young heir's beauty but seeing up close was a different statement. His kind of beauty was the one that made everyone fall for him, gender regardless. He would have fallen for his boss but sadly his heart was stolen by someone else, his heart aches at the thought of the handsome bachelor.

'I found out you are acquitted to Malik Kent' Theodore said, the tension between them thickens as Hayden expression change.

'We are friends actually' Hayden said, Theodore tries to hold back a chuckle

'Bluff' he muttered and Hayden's frown deepened, it didn't matter if the person in front of him was his boss or a wealthy prince, he just brush off his friendship with Malik as if it was nothing.

"I'm his friend! But who are you to Malik" he thought but didn't dare voice it out.

'What does this have to do with him?'

'Tone' Marcus hissed

'I would go straight to the point, you are messing with something of mine' Those words only deepened the pain in his heart and heightened his anger, he knew that Malik didn't hang out with anyone expect him which was something he cherish and a rich brat came into his house and calls Malik, the man he likes, his.

On seeing Hayden's expression, the spoilt heir felt satisfaction and he continued.

'We got engaged yesterday and it annoyed me when he met you before showing up for our date' the youth was speechless and too hurt to say anything, he held himself from breaking down to tears, that's all he did the previous night. He tried hard but the tears escaped.

'I'm not the bad guy; I just need you to stay away from what's mine'

'Why?' even though he knew he couldn't be Malik's boyfriend, he still wanted to be his friend.

'What if I told you that I could get you into the best dancing school and an agency to contract you in New York, isn't that your dream?'

The offer was too tempting and once again Hayden was speechless, it felt like in those soaps he watch, when a mother throws money at her son's girlfriend asking her to break up with her son. He never imagined that he would be in this kind of situation, fighting for a guy with a rich brat.

'Don't tell me you are going to give your dream up for a man'

'He isn't just any man, he's my friend too, and do you even like him?'

'If I have to like him, I would, since he's hot' Marcus could punch a wall if it could turn to Malik's face.

'I would think about it'

'You got an hour and you would be leaving tonight'

'What?! I can't leave without saying goodbye'

'So you agree? You can't contact him because he is mine, start packing, Marcus would get my private jet ready'.

----------------------------------

MK had gone to lunch with Natalie that afternoon. It has been like that since their mother died, they could have saved her only if they had money. She died three month after been diagnosis. Since their mother died, Natalie doesn't eat alone, she preferred to starve than to eat alone because it reminded her that their mom would never sit and eat with them again.

Money was the obvious reason MK joined the gang coupled with fact their mother died because they were poor. His mother death killed all rationality thought but his conscience still haunts him.

After lunch with his sister, also with his sister persuading him to quit the gang, he went back to the base. They were going to make plans for the exchange but before all those things, he went to check on his victim. It felt odd that he was missing him and had a certain urge to hear his voice.

When he got there, he was met with a crying Dore with swollen lips and finger imprints on his cheeks, his clothes were torn and left covered him in cum that doesn't belong to him. MK couldn't think of anything as the last strand of tolerance broke. He went to the backyard where he found Aneel and Fahil smoking; he swung a punch on Fahil.

'What is wrong with you?' Aneel said pulling him off Fahil but MK turned around and punched him too.

'You asking me what's wrong? What did you do with Dore?!' he said and threw another punch on Aneel.

'He got us hot and bothered so we jerk off on him but the mother-fucker couldn't get it up' Aneel answered, rubbing his jaw.

'Bro, chill, we are not gay' it didn't matter whether they were gay or not, they sexually harassed someone and it didn't bothered them in their head only in the dick.

'Is that why you punched your bro? Because of a scum bag that's also a fag, don't tell me you like him because you guys don't fit' Fahil said and it was returned with a punch in his rib, courtesy to MK. Just in time, MK brought out his gun as he saw Aneel approaching, he shot the ground between his feet to keep him away.

'Come on, boy, we all know he can't do it' Aneel said with a smirk on his face. They didn't see it coming; MK turned to Fahil and shot his leg, 'That's only a warning'.

The boss came outside at the sound of the gunshot, Aneel also brought out his gun targeted at MK, does MK knows what he's doing? No, but is he ready to kill anyone for Dore? Yes. The boss barely managed to make MK leave the backyard so Aneel could take Fahil to a local clinic. On leaving the backyard, he didn't go back to the victim's room because he knew his anger would melt at the sight of Dore. Instead, he went to buy Dore cheap new clothes, which were what he could afford; he also used time cooling of his anger.

He went back to the base to help Dore change out of his torn clothes; again, he met the boss devouring Dore's lips. At that moment his eyes were cleared of emotions, he pulled the trigger and shot the boss on the head.

Malik called Hayden's phone and was sent to voice mail, it had been this way since afternoon. He knew he was suppose to give him space but he need his friend that wasn't his sister or Maeve, he needed to hear someone else view on his situation. Maeve rushed into his office, about to speak but Malik beat her to it.

'Glad you are here, can you help me get to Hayden' he asked still calling Hayden's number.

'That's what I'm here to talk about, I found this on his drawer' Maeve said in one breath and placed a note on Malik's desk. He placed his phone on his table to read it, it reads; I'm gone, don't look for me but I would miss you. That's when it darn to him, he lost his friend to love.

'Don't do it' Maeve warned

'Do what?'

'Blame yourself, I called his this morning, he said he was heartbroken but he would be alright, I don't think it's because of you' Maeve said as she poured herself a cup of water. After her first phone call with Hayden, she kept checking on him until his phone was unreachable, she went to his apartment and that's how she found his note. She got back to the company as fast as she can, the elevator was taking so much time so she used the stairs, and the billionaire's office was in the top floor. She was out of breath when she reached her destination.

"Hay, where are you?" Malik thought, at the same moment, his phone rang and it showed Theodore's ID.
