Enzo was successful in erasing their memories and rendering them unconscious. Even if they regained consciousness, the only thing they would remember was the false reality Enzo had implanted in their minds.

The doctor checked the tiara briefly and then, almost mechanically, turned around to open the curtains. She felt a strange heaviness in her limbs, as if she had no power to move freely. It was an eerie sensation that only heightened the unease in the room.

Enzo stood beside the unconscious librarian, his mind fixated on Tiara. *The girl is alive now. Let's get her treated and get away from her as soon as possible,* he thought. His focus was so deep that he hadn't noticed the doctor had already opened the curtains and turned to face him.
