The carriage came to a halt in front of the grand Dietri mansion. Ye Jin stepped out after Dion, her gown slightly rumpled from the ride. She straightened herself, brushing away imaginary creases as she followed closely behind Dion.

The air was a bit tense as they had not spoken a word to each other since the dance at the ball. It was obvious that the dance still lingered in the back of their minds.

Dion paused near the mansion's entrance, his form already beginning to dissolve into his black mist. But before his form had fully dissolved, Ye Jin took a deep breath and stepped forward.

"My Lord Dion," she called, her voice breaking the silence.

The mist halted mid-movement. Dion's piercing blue eyes reappeared through the dark haze, his expression a mixture of curiosity and mild annoyance. "What is it?" he asked, his tone sharp but calm.
