Ye Jin slowly pushed open the training grounds door as she clutched the small basket of cookies she had baked. Her focus became transfixed entirely on the figure ahead of her, and for a moment, everything seemed to fade away. Dion stood in the center of the arena, his back turned to her. His long, blonde hair gleamed under the sunlight as he swept it up and tied it back into a ponytail.
The sound of her footsteps echoed softly, drawing his attention. He glanced over his shoulder, and his blue eyes flickered with a mix of amusement and something darker, maybe obsession, as they settled on her.
"I can't believe it," Dion said, a wry smile playing on his lips. "I, your teacher, always manage to arrive before you do. Shouldn't it be the other way around, Ye Jin?"
Blood rushed to Ye Jin's cheeks, and she fumbled for words. "I... I'm sorry, Master. It won't happen again."
