Concerned

Aurora didn't like the conversation the Don had with his sons the day before. She felt like the Don was creating competitions for his sons who would do anything to hear "I'm proud of you" from him.

From the look in their eyes , she saw they weren't going to take this easily. It looked like they were on a quest to make someone as impossible to please as Lucus Dunn proud of them.

Aurora didn't understand why they were so interested in making the Don pleased....or maybe she did. He was so difficult to satisfy and somewhat complicated.

At times,he would smile at her and he would be extremely nice to her. Lucus Dunn would treat her like a princess and call her sweet names. He would be so sweet to her. But at times — especially after having a bad day with the Mafia clan, he'd frown at her. He had terrible mood swings and was

Aurora stirred the coffee absentmindedly as she thought of her next move confront him.She knew it was the best option for her but she was still scared that he would yell at her.

His mood swings had gotten worse after the Alzheimer's disease and the thought of him losing his life in the next two years made him depressed.

Aurora exhaled deeply and place the coffee mug on the plate as she made her way out of the kitchen to the Don's room. She knocked three times gently and the third time,he responded " Come in", his tone lifeless.

She opened the door, revealing the Don's elegant bedroom that reflected luxury. He reclined on his king-sized bed, it's silken linens and plush pillows offered some comfort. The Don stared at her , his face betraying exhaustion.

She walked further into the room with a warm smile on and the coffee in her hand.Standing next to his bed where he laid, Aurora place the coffee mug on the bedside table that was white and exuded class .She perched herself on the edge of the bed, close to him ,as he laid on the plush linens.

"Hi."She said softly.

No response.

"...Um....I made you coffee! " Aurora said in a tentative attempt to lift his spirits, but his somber mood remained unfazed.

She sighed." Wanna taste?" She inquired.

The Don still remained quite. Just then, Aurora started debating whether to or not confront him about the competition he was indirectly making his sons participate in.

'He looks fine just ask ' 'Does he really look fine? Should I really ask?!'Those were the questions going on in her mind.

She took a deep breathe.

"Okay " Aurora said quietly yet firmly. " I need to talk to you about something" she said. He stared at her and nodded, signaling her to go ahead and ask.

"So... about the.....um..... your needs to get everything that belongs to the Cruze Empire..." Aurora stammered

"What about that?"Lucus Dunn asked."Don't you think that Apollo and Aaron are going to take it on the offensive?"She asked. The Don scoffed."whatever" he said. "Don Lucus, what do you mean by that?"She asked respectfully.

"Why do you even care?" He asked. " The fact that I'm married to you means their my sons too. I'm concerned about them and they possible negative consequences. These boys can kill just to please you "She replied.

The Don looked away.

"You are going to die in two years....Do you wanna watch them fight till for ever and excuse my words, at your funeral?" She expressed her deepest concern.

"I care about this—"

"Now you shut your mouth!" He cut her off and she widened her eyes.A look of disappointment crossed her face as she lowered her gaze.

"Are you the one to tell me what to do?!" He yelled. "I... I'm sorry" she said quietly. "Get out of my room!"He yelled."I didn't mean to disturb you, I'm so—" "What part of get out don't you understand?!"he yelled and threw the mug of coffee across the room, shattering it against the wall.

Aurora was caught off guard by his sudden outburst and took a step back, her heart racing in her chest. Her eyes became watery.

"I don't want your filthy coffee!!" He bellowed.

"I'm so sorry" she said softly as she got out of the room, tears rolling down her cheeks.

The Don knew she was right but he was too stubborn to accept it.
