Another fight

Stella Cruze exited her room and gently shut the door behind her. As she began to descend the stairs, the sound of her high heels clicked and tapped against the steps, creating a soft yet distinct noise that echoed through the hall.

Magdalene who sat are the hall stared at her and she avoided eye contact.Srella wasn't ready to talk to her.She got downstairs and begun walking away to the main door.

"Stella"Magdalene called her softly and disinclined, Stella stopped.

"What is it, mom?" Stella asked, her voice dripping with irritation. Magdalene took a deep breath, clearly bracing herself for a difficult conversation."We need to talk."Magdalene said.

"About? If may ask?I think there's nothing to talk about mom."Stella folded her arms across her chest.

Stella stood there looking every bit the professional in her office attire. She wore a chic black mock neck top with navy blue pants, completed with a tailored blazer. Her makeup was subtle yet lovely, consisting of a soft brown eye makeup and a flawless nude lip combination. Her hair was swept back into a neat low ponytail, with charming curtain bangs framing her face. In her office wear, she looked nothing short of perfect.

Magdalene approached her with a conciliatory tone. "Do you really have to be so angry all the time, Stella?"

Stella scoffed as she heard her mother's plea for calm. She rolled her eyes, framed by thick, perfectly curled lashes, dramatically."Oh please, coming from you," she quipped sarcastically. "You're one to talk about anger management, mom."She looked away.

"Stella please."Magdalene said quietly."Wow!So after yelling at me and blaming me for ruining your life yesterday you want us to talk?" Stella snapped.

Magdalene's voice was stern, no longer trying to be gentle.

"Listen, I'm trying to talk to you calmly

, but you're making it really difficult," she said, her irritation clear in her tone. "Just stop with the attitude and let's have an actual conversation. Can you do that, Stella?"

"No!"Stella snapped."Infact, I'm not ready for a conversation "Stella said and begun walking away.

She had taken a few steps before her mother's voice caused her to halt. Magdalene placed her mug on a nearby plate then set it down on the elegant center table before finally rising from her seat.

"What is wrong with you?" "I don't know! You say it! I ruined your damned life didn't I?!"Stella yelled. "I didn't mean that. You know I was angry!"Magdalene snapped back. "

Stella's anger was apparent as she folded her arms and looked away, muttering to herself."As if you didn't mean that," she said, her voice laced with sarcasm and disbelief.

"What was that?" Magdalene asked"Nothing."Stella muttered. "Is this what I get?!"Magdalene retorted.

"What are you talking about?" Stella inquired, her eyes narrowing.

"You have everything you have because of me, Stella!" Magdalene exclaimed. "I handed you the empire! You're so successful and attractive because of me!"

Stella's voice trembled with anger as she exploded.

"Wow mom... just wow!" Her eyes flashed with barely controlled irritation. "You have some nerve, talking about cleaning up your messes when I've been doing it for years. If it weren't for me, you would have signed that shitty contract and we wouldn't have any of the things we have now!"

"Excuse me?!"Magdalene yelled.

"Look,I don't have time for this okay!"Stella said and begun walking away. She stopped Infront of the door and turned to face Magdalene.

"I have a message from yesterday though..."She said. The mixture of pain and anger could be sensed from her tone."I wish you were never my mom "She said softly and left.

Magdalene watched Stella leave, her eyes filled with anger. Frustrated by her daughter's behavior, she exclaimed to the empty room, "Why does she have to ruin my day every single time?"

As if on cue, Jerry, Stella's driver, opened the car door for her. She silently slipped into the backseat, taking a deep, steadying breath. She was determined not to let the argument with her mother bring her to tears again. Instead, she looked out the window, watching the scenery pass by. Once she was settled, Jerry started the car and drove off, leaving her alone with her thoughts.
