Margret

"Certainly, Mr. Jones. Our company has indeed come a long way. I'll make sure to link you up with our designer right away so you can see our latest and improved designs." Stella replied confidently.Once Mr. Jones was on board, she ended the call and let out a sigh of relief, satisfied with the progress they had made.

With her legs tucked under the chair she observed Truth, her personal secretary walk in with some documents. She sighed and sat up. "Good morning Ms Cruze" Truth place the documents on the desk."These documents need your signature"She said.

"I've already looked through them and everything seems to be in order."Truth added. Stella who wasn't ready to work since she just got to office few minutes ago rolled her eyes."Thanks Truth."She said softly and a warm smile escaped from Truth's lips.

Truth had always admired Stella's remarkable beauty, as well as her outstanding work ethic. Her ability to balance her professional and personal lives flawlessly was unmatched. As a young CEO, she managed the Cruze Empire with great skill and finesse. Her combination of grace and determination was inspiring and intimidating.

Stella Cruze was a perfectionist. She expected nothing less than excellence from her employees and loathed any form of playfulness or slacking off. She appreciated hard work and often rewarded it generously. However, even the mere hint of a mistake was enough to rouse her ire. Her employees walked on eggshells, constantly vigilant to avoid provoking her In short, she was both the best and worst CEO.

"Is there anything you'd want me to do for you?"Truth asked. ".. Um yes."Stella said while glancing through the documents."See to it that the new designs are sent to Mr Jones."Stella added as she continued signing the documents.

Truth halted in her steps as Stella's voice called out to her. She turned to face the demanding woman ."Yes?" "Can you get me juice?..... you know my favorite."Stella said and Truth responded, "Of course, Ms. Cruze. I'll bring you your favorite juice right away."

"Okay. Please do!"Stella said playfully .Truth nodded in acknowledgement, noticing the playful undertone in Stella's voice and left.

***********

Stella was engrossed in her work, poring over business records, when she heard a knock on her door. She called out a lazy "come in" without even looking up from her desk. When the door opened, she looked up to see Margret entering the room with two glasses and a bottle of champagne, her cheerfulness evident.

"Hey bestie!" Margret exclaimed.

Stella looked up from her work and smiled, but her tone was a bit sarcastic. "Hey!" she replied. "Can you not call me that!"

"Oh, come on!" Margret rolled her eyes as she approached Stella, who was spinning her chair playfully.

Stella responded with sarcasm, "Why did you decide to show up today? I thought you wouldn't be back for another five years."

Margret looked at her with a dull expression, "You hardly change, do you?" "What do you mean?" Stella responded with a puzzled tone, pretending not to understand what Margret was talking about.

Margret rolled her eyes at Stella as she took her seat."Anyway, I don't have time for this nonsense, okay?" she said. Margret then changed her tone back to a cheerful one and continued"Guess what, babe?"

Stella mumbled under her breath, "I'm not your babe." She continued to spin in her chair, making sure Margret didn't hear her comment.

"Wait before anything, what is the champagne for?"Stella asked."I was just about to tell you."Margret said as she place the glass and champagne on Stella's desk.

She and Stella have been friends since forever. Their parents —that is Stella's mom and Margret's mom— have been friends before they were even born.

Margret was the cheerful and funny type and even though Stella hated to admit, she was always happy around her . Margret was the only one able to handle Stella's behavior.

"You're looking different"Stella commented , taking in the sight of her friend. Margret's long, reddish-brown hair was gently curled, and her face had a subtle, natural make-up that complemented her soft nude  complexion perfectly. She was dressed in a peach wrap dress that accentuated her slender figure, and her dark eyes sparkled with warmth. As always, she looked effortlessly beautiful.

"Good different or bad different?"Margret asked."Good."Stella stated simply."Well then my trip to Korea helped me"Margret said and winked causing Stella to roll her eyes.

"So you were saying something."Stella said. "Yes.So Agnes Scott just  accepted the contract!"she said as she poured the champagne into the glass.Stella took hers and muttered thank you.

Suddenly someone was knocking the door."Come in."Margret and Stella said at the same time.Truth entered holding a letter.

"Hello, Truth!" Margret greeted, taking a sip of her champagne. "Do I have a document to sign?"Stella asked.

"No please. It's a letter from a company requesting a meeting," Truth explained.

Stella's interest was piqued. "Which company, exactly?"

"The Dunn Root," Truth stated, prompting Margret's exclamation of surprise.

"The same Dunn Root that we all know and respect?" Margret asked, her excitement building.

Truth nodded and clarified, "Yes, it's a branch of the Dunn Root, operating independently."

Margret's eyes widened in disbelief. "And who's the CEO?"

Truth responded, "Mr. Apollo Dunn."

Margret squealed in excitement. "Oh my goodness!"

"What?"Stella asked.

Stella was shocked to hear the news. "Everyone is aware of the Dunn Empire's success, especially with their three good-looking and talented brothers at the helm. But sadly, they always seem to be at odds."

Truth stepped in with more information. "Sorry to interrupt but, The Dunn Root, however, focuses on luxury products such as jewelry, watches, and sunglasses."

"You should accept it!"Margret eagerly suggested. "I really want to see Mr. Apollo Dunn in action!" she exclaimed.

Stella, however, remained nonchalant, swirling the glass in her hand. "I must admit, I am quite intrigued." She then looked at Truth and gave the order. "Book an appointment with the Dunn Root."
