Misunderstandings

Aaron strut into the extravagant mansion, still basking in the success of his meeting with Stella earlier. He was impressed by how it had gone and knew that all that was left was to ensure that his words the next day would be compelling enough before he began his mission to claim what rightfully belonged to the Cruze Empire. Then, the Don would be proud of him.

His gaze then fell on Apollo who was silently going through a magazine. His legs were crossed and his gaze was fixed on the magazine he was reading.

Aaron smirked suddenly. He then walked towards Apollo and sat before him.Yet, Apollo's gaze was still fixated on the magazine he was reading.

"Hey," Aaron said, looking down at Apollo, who glanced up his magazine. "I just came by to greet you," Aaron stated, his words laced with a deception that was clear to both of them. Apollo stared at Aaron for a moment before returning to his reading. "Come on, don't be like that," Aaron urged, seeking a response, but met with a deadpan reply from Apollo. "Do I really have to respond?" Apollo asked, coolly. Aaron's smirk widened.

"So, how is the Cruze Empire faring?" Aaron inquired with a hint of provocation. "Have you managed to finalize the deal yet?"

Apollo, who knew Aaron's intentions all along, wasn't keen on engaging in any games. He continued reading his magazine, not bothering to entertain Aaron's queries.

As Aaron nonchalantly tapped Apollo on the shoulder, Apollo reciprocated with an intense glare, silently signaling for Aaron to remove his hand. Apollo stood up, maintaining his glare"Don't mess with me, Aaron." Apollo warned.

Just as Apollo was about to make a swift exit from the scene, Aurora suddenly appeared beside them.

They both rolled their eyes almost simultaneously, knowing all too well that Aurora was about to frustrate them further. She started, "I don't mean to intrude, but I need to remind you of something." Apollo responded dryly, "It's about the business party, isn't it?" Aaron chimed in, "You think we would forget." Aurora attempted to reassure them, "Please, don't get angry, boys. I just wanted to remind you —" before Aaron abruptly interrupted her, "Just leave us alone!"

"Could you just listen to me?" Aurora pleaded, her frustration evident in her tone. "Why do you think we wouldn't listen?" Apollo retorted, his expression blank. Aaron's voice rose in anger, his voice almost shaking from rage, "Why do you always try to make things up to us?!" Aurora gasped at his outburst, visibly taken aback by his vehemence.

Yes, Aaron was somehow right. She was the one who always tried to make it up to them but in return she always got yelled at.Even though the Dunn brothers hadn't opened up to tell her why the hated her and her presence, she knew.

From the very moment Aurora was introduced to the brothers as the Don's new wife, the sour expression on their faces made it abundantly clear that they held a deep-seated resentment towards her. Their disapproval was palpable, and their hostility was evident in their demeanor from the very beginning.

The thought that she was a bad person who wanted the Don's money filled their minds and they thought she was putting up an act.

"Because I am like your mother"Aurora said. "No you're not."Apollo said. "Why don't you just leave!"Aaron yelled.

"The Don said he wants to see something that shows an improvement at the party"Aurora said and left quickly. Suddenly Aaron turned to him. "How about you let me deal with this?"Aaron smirked. With a grin, Apollo walked away.,
