The meeting Apollo had with Stella at the club kept ringing in his memory and he was looking forward for an opportunity for them to meet once again. He had assumed that he was looking for chances to meet her because of his so called ' mission ' but thinking about it the whole of last night at the club till this morning meant something more yet he hated the thought of that.
Love wasn't his league.
Business, these days, was going well. Contracts were piling up but none of them seemed to please Don Lucus Dunn one bit. Speaking of him, he didn't talk or complain much after they had their business party.
Apollo thought of all this as he descended the staircase while buttoning his dress shirt. His phone rang roundly in his pocket. Apollo shoved his hand into his pocket and picked his phone. He rolled his eyes after reading the caller's ID.
It was Kelvin.
Apollo answered the call. "Hello?"he said.
Apollo saw Aurora walking up to him and he rolled his eyes as he listened to Kelvin who was complaining about some documents Linda messed up.
"Do something about it and avoid calling me to inform me on things that you can easily deal with."He said coldly.
Aurora stood quietly, waiting for Apollo to finish up with his call.
"Fix it Kelvin."Apollo said and immediately ended the call before angrily shoving the phone back into his pocket.
Aurora sighed. This was obviously bad timing.
"What the hell do you want?"Apollo glared at her.
"Um... I came to secretly inform you on something The Don has been preventing me from informing you." Aurora explained.
"And what is that?"Apollo asked.
"It's the Don. He's condition is getting worse."she said, concern written on her face.
"What?"Apollo asked.
"Yes , I think you should inform your brother. You two must do what the Don wants and you must be fast about it. I'm really sure he's been thinking about that."Aurora let out her idea and thought.
"How worse?"Apollo simply asked and in response.
"Really worse."Aurora answered. "Though The Don hasn't told me anything about how he's feeling these days, I'm pretty much sure that he's not all that good."she said.
"Why do you say that? Any symptoms?"Apollo asked.
"Mm-mm."She nodded."A lot of them. You see, these days he coughs a lot and if he said something two minutes ago, he hardly remembers. He's got high fever as well. " She explained away.
"Why don't you do anything about it?!" Apollo retorted.
"Who I'm I to speak? I have no say in his matter. Don Lucus barely listens to me. And I'm not sure he'll listen to you boys too. Please inform your brother. I'll go check on him." Aurora said and walked away.
Apollo watched her leave.
The information he just heard disturbed him. It looked like he had to take things more serious than ever. Apollo sighed . It looked like he had to be fast about making Stella Cruze fall for him and taking what is rightfully for the Cruze Empire.
***********
All Aaron cared about after the business party was mainly two. Firstly, to make The Don more pleased. Aaron was still determined to be the one to make Dada proud and he wasn't giving up.
Hearing those words from the Don that day at the business party was okay but not good enough for him.
At least rest was assured.
The fact that he was leading Apollo Dunn was a great victory and he couldn't wait to do much more. He could wait to laugh at Apollo mirthfully and a mere imagination of that event made him proud of himself. He felt like the victory was his.
Yes, this was really a win-win situation for him.
He smirked.
Also, he couldn't get that red haired angel off his mind. All he could think about after the Business party was her.
Margaret.
Everything about that angel screamed beauty. It was a sudden attraction but he dared not call it love at first sight since he didn't believe in that.
Aaron Dunn was far different from Apollo. He believed love existed but he just didn't believe that one could fall in love just by a first glance.
Somehow, this angel was making it happen.
Her wavy reddish brown long hair gave her a whole unique look. Her round lips and dark eyes were just perfect for her nude complexion. And that slender body of hers screamed perfection.
Though, Aaron thought he was never going to meet her.
He was sitting on the couch with his legs crossed, watching the news while drinking coffee. But obviously, he wasn't thinking about the news. All he thought about was Margaret and making the Don proud.
Aaron felt a presence. He turned to see Apollo Dunn standing next to him.
"Oh , Apollo you should go. I'm not in the mood for a fight."Aaron said.
Apollo rolled his eyes.
"The Don's condition is getting worse."Apollo went straight to the point.
"What do you mean by that?" Aaron asked, gingerly putting the coffee mug on the center table.
"Aurora told me about that. You know what, I just came to remind you of stepping up your game."Apollo said.
"Why will you say that?"Aaron asked.
"Aurora thinks it's the course of his condition worsening. She thinks we must be fast with owning what is rightfully for the Cruze Empire"Apollo said.
"Well then,"Aaron stood up."I think I should be the one reminding you of that. Or what do you say Apollo?"Aaron smirked, he was enjoying his current victory.
Apollo simply shrugged and walked away.
