.
Suddenly Beatrice felt her blood boiling, moving on its own. As a figure made of red light started forming in front of her.
She didn't stop it or resist. This already happened more than once and will keep happening.
The red light formed into a blood red man with somewhat concealed features.
Looking at the imposing figure. She called in a low voice, "father."
" Don't call me that. You stopped being my daughter the day you turned your back on our race". The man snapped angrily.
"father, I didn't. We can cooperate with the humans, make peace and help each other defeating all other races.! . … . "
But the man interrupted her idiotic shenanigans.
"shut up you fool, do you really believe such a thing is possible?, the humans aren't trustworthy even when dealing with each other, forget about us, a race that uses them as food, peace was never on the table between us.
Moreover, the humans belong to the central world, unless every other race works together. Defeating them is almost Impossible," the figure clenched his fists in anger, but suddenly fell silent.
He seemed to be trying to calm himself down, his calm yet chilling gaze fixated on his daughter.
All along Beatrice just looked on in defiance.
He had hundreds of arguments.
Did you seriously think about your foolish actions?
Did you think about what would happen to your race?
Did you consider your family and their fate? Maybe become slaves to the humans if our plan is exposed, and the humans are forced to work together to deal with our race.
Did you think what would happen to me, your father, when the other vampire Dukes find out that our plan failed because of you? Killed maybe or exiled hopefully?
But he didn't ask any of that. He felt deflated.
He couldn't understand the thought process of his daughter, even the traitorous humans he was cooperating with, plan to backstab him at the shortest notice. Their cooperation is just for benefits. They didn't strictly betray the human race.
In reality, if the government didn't oppress them so much, most probably they would have never cooperated with him, but what about his daughter, a real traitorous idiot?
"Sigh." with that sigh, the figure just dissipated.
Beatrice stood up, her eyes welling up with tears. It was the first time her father had shown indifference towards her. Usually, he would persistently try to convince her until the duration of the communication skill ended.
Feeling hurt, she transformed into a bat and flew to her room. As for Max, she decided to forget about him. All she wanted was to obtain a passenger list through his connection with Jamie, as she preferred not to negotiate with someone ordinary like Jamie.
.....
Back at the restaurant.
Max slapped his thighs, engrossed in the dramatic events taking place in his room.
Lucy, on the side, handed him some popcorn, also enjoying the show.
Currently, he is holding Jamie's phone while wearing a headset.
Earlier when he came back, Jamie asked him why did he return so quickly.
Finding no reason to hide anything, Max just informed Jamie that someone sneaked in his room and that he plan to let the creep wait alone.
To his surprise, Jamie told him he can access his laptop through the phone with his password and ID card or credit card, without the need for pre-made arrangements like setting some app in the laptop.
And so Max witnessed everything that happened in his room.
"wow, so much drama. I feel kind of sad for the father. "
In Max's eyes, that princess is nothing but a girl with daddy issues. Most probably, all of this bullshit is to impress her father by achieving such a great feat as making peace between the humans and the vampires.
The reason why max is sure of his conjunction is the fact that his passive didn't consider her of lawful faction, at least not completely. His passive still works on her, making her ignore him a little, but the effect is lacking. Otherwise, she wouldn't be in his cabin right now.
But Max felt that something was off.
'No matter how I think about it, so much drama happening in my room is too much bad luck, if I walked inside and all that bullshit happened in front of me, that Beatrice would've forced me to stay close to her to not reveal her Secret, and I will end being on her camp or something like that.
Could it be that my passive brings bad luck or something? Or could it be?... huh?…. '
As Max came to a certain theory, he forced himself to ignore it.
Digging for secrets all day long while being weak is a recipe for a painful death.
Max temporarily halted his daily reading on the simulator out of concern that acquiring too much knowledge could be a danger because of his weak strength.
This isn't mere paranoia; he came across informations about strange abilities and the potential danger they pose to someone as knowledgeable yet vulnerable as him.
Actually, the simulator should be able to guard his mind and protect his secrecy, but being cautious is never a bad thing.
Shaking his head, Max's thoughts switched to the blood essence. All that drama didn't change his mind, not even a bit.
His plan is simple. If Julio and Nicholas kill her easily, then max will trade for it, and with his passive effecting the two of them, Max is sure he can obtain it.
In another scenario, if both parties end up heavily injured, then Max will be the fisherman and deal with everyone. This is the best outcome, in Max's opinion.
If Beatrice turns out to be excessively strong and handles the two with ease, then Max will simply disregard the blood essence entirely.
"Anyway, let's move base on the circumstances, right Lucy?. "
Little Lu nodded as usual, not understanding a damn thing.
