### Chapter 68: Unique Identifying Features

As the evening twilight descended, the night quietly fell.

Returning home from the Konoha Kendo Dojo, Fujino collapsed on his bed, exhausted.

Despite the soreness that spread throughout his body, he felt no complaints, only immense satisfaction.

He had spent the entire afternoon practicing swordsmanship with Yuji Suwa.

With the boost from his scholarly skills, his afternoon of practice had yielded results that would take others several days to achieve.

Even his physical condition had improved slightly.

But what truly mattered was that his swordsman profession had leveled up as he had anticipated!

From intermediate, he had advanced to advanced.

He even gained a swordsman skill point.

Beyond the swordsman proficiency, he was surprised to find that being guided in swordsmanship could also increase his student points…

Gathering his thoughts, Fujino opened the system interface with a mental command:

```
[Name: Fujino
Current Profession:
Main Profession: Detective (300 reputation points needed for the next upgrade)
Sub-professions:
Student: Advanced (400 proficiency points needed for the next upgrade)
Swordsman: Advanced (970 proficiency points needed for the next upgrade)
Sub-profession Skills:
Wanderer's Sword: (When using any type of bladed weapon, the host will be particularly adept)
Swordsman's Bravery: (100% ability enhancement when using any type of bladed weapon)
Current Swordsman Skill Points: 1
Current Skill Points Can Be Converted to All-Profession Points, Cost: 300,000 yen]
```

Fujino examined the system interface, thought for a moment, and converted the swordsman skill points to all-profession points, then added them to detective enhancement.

```
[Detective Enhancement:
(Enhancement: Beginner Four-Star, enhances the host's physical abilities by 200%)
(Time: Beginner One-Star, enhancement lasts for two minutes)]
```

"Looks like I'll have to visit the Konoha Kendo Dojo regularly," Fujino smiled as he noted the 200% enhancement level of the detective skill.

Improving swordsman proficiency, strengthening his body, and gaining student points—why not?

...

Two days passed in the blink of an eye. During these two days, Fujino attended school as usual and visited the Konoha Kendo Dojo to strengthen his body, successfully earning 150 student proficiency points.

His student profession was now only 200 points away from leveling up.

As for cases, he hadn't encountered any in these two days.

Maybe it was because of a certain fish-averse boy.

Suddenly having free time, he reflected on how he had been busy for so long and decided to reward himself with a break.

So two days ago, he went to a motorcycle shop and bought a motorcycle originally priced at one million yen for ninety thousand yen.

The Conan world indeed had its perks.

For instance, because he had a motorcycle license, he was able to drive his new bike on the road after completing the paperwork at the traffic management office this morning.

At noon, Fujino was riding his black motorcycle along the road in Beika Town.

"New detective profession task detected. Please check!"

Hearing the system notification in his ear, he first looked around to make sure there were no vehicles nearby, then parked his motorcycle by the roadside.

Opening the system task interface, he saw:

```
[Detective Profession Task: Café Murder Case
Task Objective: Solve the café murder case
Task Time Limit: Three hours
Task Reward: 500,000 yen bounty, 100 detective reputation points]
```

"A café murder case?"

Fujino removed his helmet and looked around.

He quickly spotted a distinctively dressed girl standing on the street nearby.

The girl wore a light blue dress with a dark blue blazer, and she had a unique identifying feature on her head.

"Is that Ran?"

Hearing a familiar voice, Ran Mori looked surprised.

Turning her head, she saw Fujino, helmet in hand, straddling a black motorcycle.

"Fujino-senpai?"

She exclaimed in surprise before walking toward him, "Senpai, what are you doing here?"

"Well," Fujino patted his motorcycle, "I just got a new bike and was testing its performance when I ran into you."

"Is that so…"

But before Ran could finish her sentence, police sirens sounded from nearby.

"Huh?"

Ran turned around to see police cars stopping at a café across the street, "Why are the police stopping there? Did something happen?"

"What's wrong?"

Fujino asked, noticing Ran's concerned expression.

"I had an appointment with someone at that café, and Conan is there too," Ran said worriedly, "Could something have happened?"

"I'll go with you to check it out," Fujino nodded, setting his motorcycle on its stand, and together they hurried to the café surrounded by police cars.

"Unauthorized personnel are not allowed to enter the scene!"

The café entrance was crowded with people.

Two uniformed police officers were trying their best to maintain order and keep the onlookers out of the crime scene.

The onlookers, respecting the police, did not attempt to break through.

"Officer, what happened here?"

Fujino squeezed through a gap in the crowd and asked the policeman.

"No comment!"

Though Neon's police were often seen as inept, they still had basic professional ethics.

Naturally, they wouldn't easily disclose information about the crime scene.

"I heard a girl was killed inside the café!"

"Yeah, I heard it was really gruesome, blood everywhere!"

The surrounding onlookers answered Fujino's question for the policeman.

Hearing this, Ran frowned, clearly worried about her mother, Eri Kisaki.

Fujino noticed Ran's concern and said to the officer, "My name is Fujino. I'm a detective. If you could inform the detective in charge inside, I might be able to help."

"Fuj… Fujino?!"

The officer was stunned, then exclaimed, "Are you the famous high school detective Fujino?"

This quickly caught the attention of the onlookers.

"Yes," Fujino nodded, not hiding anything.

Sometimes, a detective's identity could be very useful.

Crime scenes might be off-limits, but not for detectives.

They could even move around the crime scene freely.

This is the Conan world, a world that defies common sense.

"I'll inform them right away!"

The officer quickly ran into the crime scene and reported Fujino's presence to Inspector Megure.

"You say Detective Fujino is outside?"

Hearing the officer's report, Inspector Megure was surprised.

But then again, it wasn't unusual.

After all, in the past, Detective Kudo would always be at the scene whenever a case occurred.

Moments later, Fujino entered the café, which had become a crime scene, with Ran.
