## Chapter 134: Themed Skiing Activity

"Can you please stop crashing into me all the time!" Kaito Kuroba complained as he climbed out of the snow, "You're so clumsy!"

"What can I do about it!" Aoko Nakamori responded with a hint of frustration, "This is my first time skiing, I'm just a beginner."

"Then go ski over there, don't block my way!" Kaito pointed to another ski slope.

"Why should I go over there!" Aoko retorted, "You should be the one to go over there!"

"What's your problem!"

As the two of them bickered, Sonoko skied over and pulled Aoko up, asking curiously, "Aoko, are you here to ski too?"

"Haha... It's a weekend ski trip organized by our high school."

"No wonder there are so many high school students here today." Sonoko glanced around and realized, "So it's Ekoda High School's ski trip... What a coincidence."

"What's he doing here..." Kaito Kuroba's eyebrow twitched as he noticed Sonoko's presence.

He recognized Sonoko, having met her before and even stealing a gem from her house some time ago.

But if she was here...

Kaito glanced around, and sure enough, he saw the two people he least wanted to see: a crazy detective in black ski gear and a crazy kid in blue ski gear.

The detective was Fujino, and the crazy kid was naturally Conan.

He still remembered being kicked into the sea by Conan's electromagnetic football. The mere thought of it sent shivers down his spine.

Conan, on the other hand, was taken aback when he saw Kaito Kuroba. He didn't know Kaito's true identity and was surprised to see someone who looked so much like his former self, Shinichi Kudo.

"Uh-huh!" Kaito cleared his throat and said to Aoko, "Anyway, just stop crashing into me, Aoko!"

With that, he quickly skied away. He needed to get away from this dangerous place before his rare skiing holiday was ruined by the crazy detective and the crazy kid.

"These people are here too." Not far away, a red-haired girl watched the scene with narrowed eyes.

She had recently tried to predict Kaito Kuroba's actions but ended up receiving a strange vision of the Teitan University festival, where her crystal ball had been destroyed by Fujino.

Despite multiple attempts to predict Fujino's actions, her crystal balls kept breaking, even her magic mirror malfunctioned. She tried using a cauldron for a high-level divination, but it broke, spilling magic soup all over her.

Once might be an accident, but multiple times...

"It seems the world is getting more interesting," she said with a wicked smile.

But for now, she would focus on her main target, Kaito Kuroba, and deal with Fujino later. She looked at two magical stickers she had prepared the night before and grinned like a witch. "With these, I'll definitely get Kaito Kuroba today!"

"Aoko, aren't you childhood friends with him?" Ran asked, looking at Kaito's retreating figure.

Aoko nodded, "Yes, we are."

Ran was puzzled, "Then why does it seem like you two don't get along well... and his attitude?"

"It's just their way of flirting!" Sonoko teased, laughing, "You and Shinichi are like that too."

Ran blushed and scolded, "Sonoko!"

"Haha... He's always like that, annoying and unserious." Aoko smiled, explaining, "Even though we're childhood friends, our relationship isn't that great."

"Is that so?" Ran looked thoughtful.

"Are you the high school detective Fujino that Aoko mentioned?" Suddenly, an excited girl's voice came from nearby.

Fujino turned to see a girl staring at him with excitement. She had medium-length brown hair in pigtails, blue eyes, wore glasses, and a white ski suit. She looked somewhat cute.

"And who might you be?" Fujino asked.

"She's Momoi Keiko, my classmate..." Aoko started to introduce, but the surrounding crowd's noise interrupted her.

Keiko's loud shout had attracted attention, and soon a crowd gathered.

"Is that the high school detective Fujino?"

"Really?"

"I heard Aoko mention him before. I can't believe they actually know each other."

"He's as described: black hair, black eyes, and dressed in black. So cool!"

In no time, the surrounding students swarmed over, making the area crowded.

Ran, Sonoko, Aoko, and the others were pushed to the outskirts.

"What's with these people?" Sonoko looked at the excited crowd, puzzled.

At Teitan High School, they were used to having famous detectives like Shinichi Kudo around, so this level of excitement was unusual.

Ekoda High didn't have any famous detectives, so Fujino's presence naturally caused a stir.

"Our school doesn't have any high school detectives." Aoko explained with a smile, "And Fujino has thwarted Kaito Kid twice, so he's quite famous at our school."

"This is a bit too much enthusiasm..." Fujino felt a bit overwhelmed by the crowd's fervor.

"Everyone, gather around! Gather around..." Not far away, a blonde woman in a red ski suit called out loudly, but her voice weakened as she approached.

"What's going on here? Why are they all gathered there?" She sighed and squeezed through the crowd.

Then she saw Fujino, dressed in black, with black hair and black eyes, surrounded by students.

"Who is he? A celebrity?" she asked a nearby student.

"Teacher, you're so out of touch! You don't even know the famous high school detective Fujino."

"Out of touch?!" The woman's face darkened. Being called out of touch stung for Konno Erika.

She took a deep breath and squeezed to the front, saying to Fujino, "Excuse me... Could you please help disperse the crowd? They can't hear my instructions."

"And you are?" Fujino looked at the blonde woman curiously.

"I'm Konno Erika, their supervising teacher."

"Konno-san..." Fujino nodded politely. Indeed, she was a mixed-blood, with a foreign-sounding name and blonde hair.

He then looked around at the crowd. The situation was getting out of hand, and only someone like Hiratsuka-sensei could handle it.

"Uh-huh." Fujino cleared his throat and, imitating Hiratsuka-sensei's stern tone, said, "Everyone, stop crowding around. Your teacher has something to say."

Fujino's voice wasn't loud, but it somehow cut through the noise.

Under the imaginary shadow of Hiratsuka-sensei, the crowd quieted down.

"Well then, today we're having a special event at sunset." Konno Erika announced, her voice gaining strength.

The Ekoda High students looked confused, indicating they hadn't heard about this before.

"You haven't heard because I'm just announcing it now." Erika wiggled her finger, "Listen carefully, today's event is a sunset-themed costume skiing competition. Find a partner and ski together as couples..."

"Teacher! Can't girls pair up with girls?" Keiko shouted.

"No!" Erika's tone turned stern, "Leaving two trails in the sunset-covered snow is a romantic scene for couples. It will create unforgettable memories in your youth!"

She then showed a starry-eyed expression like Sonoko, "Isn't it romantic? I'm such a genius for coming up with this idea..."

"..." The students were speechless.

So, it was a personal fantasy disguised as an event.

"Uh-huh." Erika cleared her throat to ease the awkwardness, "Anyway, that's the event. Do your best! The costumes are provided by the hotel, and the winning couple will receive a grand prize!"
