[Dimensional Gap]
{Kuroka}
"You caused trouble again, didn't you?" The 'righteous hero' asked.
"You have very little faith in me, meow."
Arthur Pendragon, the current generation Pendragon and a direct descendant of Arthur Pendragon the First, had a penchant for being strict with rules.
He was an annoying, mocking person —but he still stuck with the rules.
"Don't be so harsh on her, brother." Said the cuter of the Pendragons, Le Fay, the sweet blonde sister of Arthur. "She did not get caught and she stayed in her cat form."
"But she still risked getting caught and having our plans compromised."
"Blegh!" I couldn't help showing him my tongue.
Le Fay was sweet, but Arthur was annoying. And it was always fun to see him getting annoyed and irritated.
"Heh, Vali won't be happy with you two fighting out here."
"I am not wasting time fighting, Bikou." Arthur shook his head, "I am just reminding our team that just because Vali is busy somewhere else, we cannot be making mistakes or be taking unnecessary risks."
"Yes yes, captain." My voice had visible annoyance in it, and it was for a reason.
"Still hung up on the fact that Vali made Arthur the leader in his absence?" Bikou, the monkey king's descent asked —annoying me further.
"Why would I be, meow?" I asked, "It's not my fault that he is an incompetent leader, meow!"
"Incompetent?" That irked Arthur.
"Relax both of you." Le Fay came flying around in her magical broom. "Vali went to meet the Grigori, he will be back soon."
I hope he comes back soon.
It is unbearable being stuck here!
"He did say that once he returns we will have a mission to complete." Bikou mused, "What kind of a mission do you think it will be?"
This made Arthur frown. "I heard it was something regarding the devils in Kuoh, maybe we will have to make a visit there soon."
Kuoh?
"Wait, Kuoh town?" I had to ask the stuck-up hero. "We are going there, meow?"
"Most probably," He sighed. "I don't like dealing with devils, but we have no choice."
"You went to Kuoh, didn't you, Kuroka?" Bikou asked, "What do you think of the devils of Kuoh?"
"Blind," I answered from experience, "They didn't even notice my presence, nor did they notice the presence of the Fallen roaming around, meow!"
This made everyone curious, "There are Fallens in Kuoh?"
"Hiding, meow! I think the devils did sense them, but they still don't know where the Fallens are staying."
I saw where they were.
At an old, run-down church.
But either the devils were blind to it, or didn't care enough to visit it.
"Do you think Vali's plan has something to do with those Fallens, Arthur?" Bikou asked, curious at the possibility.
"Maybe." Arthur sighed, "With Vali, we never know what he is thinking. But whatever it is, we will follow him."
This was the only thing I agreed with him.
"We will follow Vali." Le Fay repeated.
"For his cause, and for our cause." Bikou nodded.
"Yes…" After all, our cause was the same. "For our cause."

[Same Time — Takeda Residence, Kuoh Town]
``What do you mean by 'you already knew?'``
Rias' voice came out as surprised as I expected.
"I sensed something off about her the moment I met her." Partially true. "She was awful at masking her supernatural presence, so I knew from the start that she was not normal."
``And you still entertained her?``
The devil princess could not believe my words. I do agree that my actions were stupid, but there was a very good reason for it.
{Quest: Defeat the Fallen Crows!}
{Reward: Advanced Sixth Sense}
The moment I saw the quest, I knew it was an opportunity. And of all the supernaturals I have met so far, she had a far weaker threat level.
"She asked me out on a date, and I knew that she wouldn't just kill me out in public with that many people around."
It was a lie, there was almost no one around when she asked me out.
``Reo, she is still a Fallen and you should know better than to interact with them. I am worried about you. Fallen are irrational, she might have hurt you even with the people around.``
I understood that she was upset and worried, and in a way, it did feel good to have people caring about you.
"Rias." Almost not listening to anything else that she was saying, I decided to tell her what I felt.
``Yeah?``
"Thank you for caring." She might still be after me to join her peerage, but it was better than being invisible to the world.
She went silent for a while, lost for words.
``You… please be careful.``
She didn't ask further, she knew it was better to not drag a matter over a call.
``And meet me soon, we have to discuss this matter further.``
Yeah, we did.
"Alright, take care."
She was a caring person, well maybe it was just a devil enticing me, but better an attentive devil than an ignorant angel.
``You take care.`` She emphasized the you, making me chuckle a bit. ``Don't drop dead because of some stupid Fallen without exploring the world of the supernatural.``
"Are you looking out for me?" I teased, but she seemed rather mature with the response.
``I am responsible for protecting the people of Kuoh from the Fallen, so I do not want you getting hurt by them.`` But there were other reasons for the care too. ``And your magic is unique, unheard of. I want to see you grow and develop it further. So, don't you dare die before you fully master that magic.``
This made me chuckle, "As you wish, Rias."
``Don't die.``
It was a request.
"I won't."
And that was a promise with which the call ended, leaving me on my own.
There is still a lot to learn and think about.
I didn't even know much about the devils and now I had to deal with the Fallen.
It felt scary, but it also felt like a learning experience.
So, I wasn't very worried.
I was more curious than anything.
"Reo."
But curiosity had to be put aside when it was time for dinner.
"Coming, mom."
Devils and Fallen could wait, family dinner couldn't.

[Early Morning — 4th Street, Kuoh]
{Issei Hyoudou}
"Ugh! Why are classes so early in the morning?"
I had to wake up early, clean up and run to school with a half-empty stomach because I didn't have the time to fully eat my breakfast or else I would miss the first period.
It was almost a daily event, having to run for class.
And today was no different.
Except the sun that was shining super bright and making me sweat as I ran.
My shirt was sticking to me and it was dap from the sweat.
And believe me, it was washed just yesterday.
No one would say that this is a fresh shirt if they saw it.
I would surely be ridiculed once I reach class.
But all of that could wait till I reached class. I could handle the ridicule, it almost felt like a daily event, but the punishment for being late was tiresome.
So, I bolted as fast as I could. One foot barely on the ground before I put the other.
I was practically floating in air, as if flying.
I was just a few minutes away from reaching the Academy, but just as I thought I could reach on time —I heard a certain voice.
A voice coming right from the park.
"S-Salve…"
And by God, did I take the biggest U-turn of my life to rush towards the park instead of the school.
Why?
Because the voice belonged to one of the cutest girls I had ever seen in my life.
And it didn't matter what she said or what language she spoke, because at that time —I forgot about school and immediately ran to help the blonde damsel that sat alone in the park.

A/N: I have plans for Issei, well for DDraig tbh. Because the Boosted Gear is boring, but the Red Dragon Emperor in very interesting. From his design to his lore. Like it's even in the Flag on Wales.
