At that moment, whether it was the pirates on the island or those retreating to the sea, everyone was in complete shock, their excitement reaching a fever pitch!
The New World pirates gasped in disbelief one after another.
Astonishment!
Shock!
Fear!
Every emotion related to sheer awe surged through them all at once, striking the hearts of everyone present!
"Marco grabbed Jack the Drought and flew into the sky! What… What is he planning to do?!" someone exclaimed.
Every pair of eyes was glued to the sky above the island, staring at Marco with his massive blue-flame wings, which spanned forty to fifty meters across. The sky was ablaze with blue flames, and in Marco's grasp, Jack the Drought hung helplessly.
"Is he really trying to kill Jack the Drought?!" another pirate said, his voice filled with disbelief.
The majority were stunned at the thought.
Was one of the All-Stars of the Beasts Pirates, Jack the Drought, about to fall today?
"Jack can't die like this! How hard is it to kill one of the Three Calamities of the Beasts Pirates? Even the Four Emperors would struggle to kill Jack, who is renowned for his monstrous physical endurance, in such a short amount of time!" a pirate murmured in disbelief, standing among a gathering on the island.
Jack the Drought was infamous for his unmatched physical strength, powerful defense, immense destructive capabilities, and monstrous regenerative abilities. His endurance and vitality were as unyielding as any beast.
Curious gazes turned towards the speaker, a man cloaked entirely in white robes, his face hidden behind a mask.
Continuing in a calm voice, he said, "Jack possesses the Elephant-Elephant Fruit, an Ancient Zoan known for its immense vitality. Marco may be able to outmaneuver Jack with his speed, agility, and flight, but to kill Jack the Drought in such a short time? Impossible!"
His meaning was clear.
Marco might defeat Jack and could perhaps even kill him in the long run, but to kill a monster like Jack, known for his near-indestructible body, in a matter of moments? That was unthinkable!
"That makes sense," several pirates muttered, nodding in agreement. When you considered it, the argument held weight.
BOOM~!
Just then, an earth-shaking explosion rocked the skies above the island!
The next sight left every pirate completely speechless.
In mid-air, where Marco held Jack the Drought, a brilliant blue light suddenly burst forth from Jack's body. As the light exploded outward, it enveloped the sky in a destructive force.
Immediately after—
A wave of energy, followed by an endless blue light, surged out as Marco hurled Jack's body down toward the earth.
As Jack plummeted, his body flashed like a detonated flash bomb.
Boom! Boom! BOOM!
In an instant, Jack the Drought's body erupted into an explosion, flesh and bone shattering and scattering across the battlefield!
RUMBLE~~!
The pieces of flesh and bone fragments ignited with terrifying blue flames, consuming everything in their path.
In the end, all that remained were wisps of ash, floating softly down to the ground.
Jack the Drought... reduced to nothing more than a few strands of ash!
The scene was a visceral shock to every pirate's senses. It was as if they had all been struck by lightning, leaving them frozen in place.
Dead silence.
An eerie stillness swept over the entire island and the surrounding seas. None of the pirates could utter a single word.
All they could do was stare in disbelief at the falling ashes, their mouths open, but no sound emerging—not even a gasp.
The unprecedented sense of shock crashed through every pirate like a violent wave, shaking them to their core.
Until the very last speck of ash settled.
Only after a long, breathless pause...
A wave of panic, like a tidal surge, erupted from the crowd in unison!
"This... this... This can't be real, can it?!"
Countless pirates were left dumbfounded, unable to believe what they had just witnessed.
Jack the Drought, known for his unparalleled physical strength, had just exploded into nothing! Not a trace of flesh or bone remained—only a few strands of ash in the aftermath of the explosion!
It was beyond belief!
"This isn't possible!"
The pirate who had confidently claimed that Jack couldn't be killed was now frozen in place, completely stupefied by what he had just seen.
The masked man gazed toward the island, shaking his head vigorously, unable to accept what had just transpired.
In his analysis, it was simply impossible for a vice-emperor-level powerhouse like Jack the Drought, renowned for his unparalleled physical strength, to be killed so easily. To defeat someone of Jack's caliber, he believed, would take days—possibly weeks—wearing him down little by little.
But the scene before him shattered his beliefs.
Not only was Jack dead, but his mighty body had exploded in an instant, incinerated until nothing remained but a few wisps of ash. And Marco had done it in mere moments—so fast that no one had time to even comprehend what was happening.
"No, no, no! This can't be true! How could Jack the Drought die so easily?!" the man muttered in horror, his voice trembling.
SLAP!
Suddenly, a massive pirate standing beside him delivered a sharp slap across his head. The force of the blow shattered the mask covering his face, revealing a grotesque, sneering visage stitched with scars.
The slap not only knocked off the mask but also sent the man flying!
BOOM!
He slammed into a large tree, nearly knocked unconscious, teetering on the verge of collapse.
"Does it hurt?" the burly pirate asked, stretching out his hand, flexing it after delivering the powerful blow.
"It hurts!" the man, still clad in white robes, clutched his face, writhing on the ground and gasping in pain.
"Does it really hurt?" the large pirate asked again, his eyes narrowing menacingly.
"I'm really in pain!" the white-robed man groaned, now fully understanding the meaning of 'painful realization.'
"The pain is real," the burly pirate said coldly. "Just like what you saw—it's real. Drought Jack, one of the Three Calamities of the Beasts Pirates, blasted apart by Marco with just a 'bang'!"
Jack the Drought, a notorious pirate with a bounty of one billion berries, Kaido's trusted lieutenant and one of his most formidable All-Stars…
Completely obliterated by Marco, the Phoenix! Reduced to mere wisps of ash!
And just like that—
From the moment Marco had grabbed Jack and soared into the sky with his massive blue-flame wings, to the moment Jack's body exploded like a flash bomb, the brilliant light followed by his burning remains scattering into the wind—
The entire sequence had been captured by several oversized camera phone snails aboard a large pirate ship out at sea.
These camera snails belonged to none other than the World Economy Newspaper…
