__________

Martin had never done anything so sneaky, and he was a little absent-minded the whole day. On the one hand, he liked the photo very much, but on the other hand, he was afraid that Jean would be angry.

"Martin, what are you thinking about? You don't even respond when I call you." Jean approached Martin and asked.

"I didn't take it...what are you thinking about?" Martin was so engrossed in his thoughts that he even ignored the time and didn't even notice Jean coming back.

"What?"

"Nothing. Why are you back so early today?"

"Early? It's normal time. I was just delayed because I went home yesterday."

"Haha... Let's go and see the surprise I have for you."

"Okay." Jean agreed happily. She had been guessing all day what Martin would prepare for her. The two of them came outside of her bedroom, and Martin stepped aside, "Ladies first."

"Thanks." Jean pushed open the door and went in. She didn't see any packaging boxes on the floor, bed, or table... Wait, on the table.

The things that were originally in tatters when she brought them back were now all intact and placed in the same place where she left in the morning.

Jean looked at Martin excitedly, walked over quickly, picked them up one by one and looked at them. Toys, ornaments, photo frames... Finally, she came to the most important photo album. Jean slowly opened the photo album with tears in her eyes. It was exactly the same as she remembered. Jean closed the photo album and threw herself into Martin's arms.

"Thank you, Martin, thank you for everything you have done for me, I love you."

"Me too, Jean." Martin held Jean and let her cry. These things were very important to her. They were the few things she had about her parents and that home.

After a while, Jean raised her head, her eyes red, and asked with a smile, "How did you do it?"

"It's the Phoenix Force. I can use it to change time in a small area for small things."

"Well... you are amazing."

"After a while, maybe you can do it too. I just got there early."

"I will, because you are here." Jean smiled and said, took Martin's hand, pulled him to pick up the photo album, and lay down where Martin lay during the day, "Martin, let me introduce my family to you."

"Okay..." Martin responded unnaturally. But Jean was so excited that she didn't notice it.

"Damn, I shouldn't have taken it."

While Martin was daydreaming, Jean introduced the pictures one by one until..."Huh? Why is there one missing?" Jean continued to search to see if it was stuck in some other page.

"What's missing?"

"There was a photo I took when I was in high school. Did you notice it when you were restoring it today?" Jean asked.

"No...no." Martin hesitated and couldn't even utter a word, "Ahem...could it be that it was lost when you were at home before?"

"Impossible, I saw it last night... It was right here, the photo is still here..." Jean suddenly sensed something. It was the power that Martin inadvertently released because he was too embarrassed. Seeing Martin's unnatural expression, Jean turned her head and sensed it carefully. Although Martin's memory has not been explored, Jean has guessed it almost right based on all the speculations tonight.

"Well... never mind. That photo was ugly anyway."

Martin nervously retorted: "No, it's beautiful..." Seeing Jean's mischievous expression, Martin had no choice but to lower his head and said, "Alas... I'm not suitable for this kind of thing... Sorry Jean, I was just... curious and wanted to see it, and... I really like the photo. But I was embarrassed to ask you for it..." Jean wanted to make a few more jokes, but seeing Martin's blushing face, she couldn't bear it.

"It's okay Martin, I'll give it to you if you like it."

Martin said weakly, "Okay..."

Jean leaned in front of Martin and whispered, "As long as I have it, I can give it to you. Anything is fine." Seeing Jean's serious look, Martin reached out and held her in his arms. Jean listened to Martin's clear and strong heartbeat and looked at the photo of herself and her parents in the album. Whether inside or outside the photos, Jean had a happy smile on her face.

After hugging her for a while, Martin let her go, "Wait a moment, I'll go." Without waiting for Jean to respond, Martin disappeared. Until a few minutes later, he returned to the bedroom with an exquisite photo frame in his hand.

"Why did you buy this?"

"Put your photo in it."

"Where are you going to put it?" Jesn asked expectantly.

"My bedroom."

"Then I want your photo, too." Jean said after getting a satisfactory answer.

"…I don't have any photos." As far as Martin could remember, he only had his picture taken once, and that was when he joined the army for his file. It was a black and white photo, and after so many years, it must have turned into fragments long ago.

"Why not?" Jean asked curiously.

"Other people take pictures to record their appearance, but I won't get old, so there's no need for me to take pictures."

"Oh...can you take a picture for me?" Jean asked tentatively.

Seeing Jean's expectant eyes, Martin smiled and nodded, "When are we going?"

"Now."

"Haha... OK."

"Wait, let me change my clothes." Jean said.

"All right." Martin agreed and looked down at his clothes. Wendy always kept her clothes neatly arranged, and Emma herself was a fashion guru, so none of his clothes were bad and he didn't need to change them.

"Then I will..." Martin raised his head and was about to say that he didn't need to change, when he saw Jean taking off her clothes, "Can't you wait until I get out before changing?" After glancing at Jean's smooth white back and saying these words, Martin left in a flash. Hearing him, Jean was grinning secretly.

"I'm done." Jean changed into a white short skirt, walked downstairs, and stretched out her hand in front of him.

Martin rolled his eyes at her and shouted to Wendy upstairs, "Wendy, we won't be back for dinner tonight. If you want to go out, make your own arrangements."

"Okay, honey."

Martin won't take Wendy with them today. Martin used to take her out to play often, but he never took Jean out.

"Do you want to take me out...to play?" Jean asked happily.

"Yeah, it's been so long, and I haven't even gone out with you once."

"It's okay. I know you want me to control the power. Otherwise it will be very dangerous."

"Haha." Martin touched her head gently, "Okay, let's take pictures first, then go to eat, and you can arrange the rest."

"I need to think about it slowly." The two appeared in a small alley on a busy street.

"It doesn't matter. You have plenty of time. If you can't think of it today, just think about it slowly. You can go whenever you think of it."

"No, today."

"Good..."

The two came to a high-end-looking photo studio.

"Welcome, sir and madam."
