Birth of a Legend

Kumarikandam was a continent unlike any other, a land where the boundaries of reality and myth blurred. This realm, far greater than Asia, was home to countless races and tribes, each wielding immense power. Among them, four major forces ruled: the Elven Kingdom, the Netherworld, the Fox Race, and the three ancient wild tribes. These tribes—Asura, Deva, and Raksha—stood united, their collective strength making them the most feared power in Kumarikandam.

The land was endless, teeming with over 100 million people and countless tribes, both large and small. Despite frequent infighting among themselves, the three tribes always presented a united front. Their ancestors, some of the most powerful beings in the universe, had lived for eons, their exact ages unknown. They treated internal disputes as mere child's play, rarely appearing to intervene directly.

In this era, the hierarchy of power was strictly defined: Mortal Realm, Tempered Realm, Spirit Realm, Void Realm, Soul Severing Realm, Demigod Realm, and realms beyond mortal comprehension. Those who reached the upper echelons of these realms wielded god-like power, their abilities shaping the very fabric of the world.

The current king of the Asura Tribe, King Varunas, was married to the most talented princess of the Deva Tribe, Queen Anaya. Their union was not just a symbol of power but also a rare bridge between two mighty clans. Anaya, at 300 years old, was revered for her wisdom and strength. She had already borne two children: Arvind, their eldest son, and Anika, their daughter, with an age gap of 100 years between them. On the surface, Varunas and Anaya were among the most powerful beings, both having reached the Demigod Realm. Their children, too, were prodigies; Arvind, at 100 years old, had already attained the Void Realm, and Anika, at 53, was at the peak of the Spirit Realm. Both trained in different sects, honing their unique abilities.

Queen Anaya had been pregnant for 9 years and 8 months. She sensed that her child would be born soon, a feeling that grew stronger each day. The pregnancy was extraordinary, even by the standards of their mystical world. On the day of 9 years, 9 months, and 9 days, a dark cloud gathered at the center of the universe, a place where no beings could survive. A dark red cloud appeared and vanished in an instant, causing time and space to break and pause momentarily. This cosmic anomaly baffled even the greatest minds, who could not discern its cause.

That very day, as the cosmic disturbance echoed across the land, Queen Anaya went into labor. The atmosphere in the palace was tense yet filled with anticipation. The palace healers and midwives, skilled in both medicine and magic, were prepared for any eventuality. King Varunas stood by, his eyes never leaving his queen.

With a final cry, the queen gave birth to a boy. The child had a tuft of baby hair and did not cry. His eyes were like black holes, deep and unfathomable, and his lips curled into a mysterious smile. Despite the unusual circumstances, Anaya was overjoyed, hugging her newborn and kissing him tenderly. There was an inexplicable connection she felt with this child, something that went beyond the bond of mother and son.

The king took the child in his hands, examining him closely. The veins in the boy's body were normal, healthy, but unremarkable. Unlike his siblings—Arvind with Creation Veins, one of the top three special veins, and Anika with Tyrant Veins, reputed to be the strongest and indestructible—this child's veins were ordinary. The king pondered this for a moment but dismissed it; as long as the child was healthy, that was all that mattered. The baby saw his father's laughing face and reached out, trying to grab his mustache, giggling and playing.

King Varunas: "He's quite a lively one, despite everything. We'll name him Rudhra. It seems fitting for a child born under such extraordinary circumstances."

Queen Anaya: (smiling) "Rudhra. It means 'the roar of the heavens.' Let's hope he lives up to the name."

As Rudhra grew, his presence brought joy to the palace, yet an air of mystery lingered. He displayed an uncanny ability to react to situations with a raw instinct, much to the fascination and confusion of those around him.

Arvind: (observing Rudhra play) "He's different from us, isn't he? Not just in appearance, but in the way he interacts with the world."

Anika: "Yes, he seems to act on instinct. It's almost like he's not bound by the same rules as the rest of us."

King Varunas: "Indeed. His instincts are strong, but his emotional understanding seems to be lacking. We'll need to guide him carefully."

Queen Anaya: "Let him be. Perhaps his unique nature will reveal itself in time. For now, let him grow free from the expectations we place on his siblings."

They decided that Rudhra would not be burdened with the expectations that came with his siblings' extraordinary abilities. He would grow up free from the pressures of destiny, or so they hoped.

Little did they know, this seemingly ordinary child would grow to become a figure of unmatched power, destined to carve a path of tyranny and forever alter the fate of Kumarikandam. The true nature of his potential lay dormant, waiting for the right moment to awaken and reshape the world in ways unimaginable.
