Mixed space (bonus)

------- in a few minutes

"But if you have amnesia, how did you get home from school? You're not making fun of me, are you?"

"I already told you, I haven't completely lost my memory, I have no problem doing things instinctively, but the more I think to remember something, the more I forget"

It seems she still has doubts about the truth of my words. I guess I'll have to sacrifice someone to prevent her from thinking about the holes in my words.

"Actually, I didn't lose my memory the first time I hit my head. I had a headache at the time, but nothing was wrong. When I went to school, I fell asleep in my desk because of the headache."

"Did you lose your memory because you fell asleep?"

"No, that ugly teacher with black hair saw me sleeping and threw chalk at my head. And that's when I suddenly forgot what happened."

"That bitch... Igh sounds like something she would do. She never threw it at me, but when she did, I saw how ruthless she was."

It seems that the hate manipulation was successful.

For the next fifteen minutes Sofia and I shouted hateful words at the teacher I saw when I first opened my eyes.

"And will you help me?"

"Of course I'll help you, we're cousins, right?"

"Then explain to me first why only one of the game modes has a crown on it? No matter how hard I try to remember, I can't remember why."

"Oh actually there's a very simple reason. You see the number of victories icon on your hand, right? That's the number that goes up during the beginner's games, when you only get victories in a single player random survival game within one month after turning eighteen."

That's good. I got two answers to one question.

"And there's something I'd like to ask you."

"Wait, wait, wait. Let's re-enter first."

"Why?"

"Why? Is it not obvious?"

As Sofia said this, she was pointing at her own body with her hands.

After some thought, I didn't need to ask her to find out why.

I remembered that there was a small note on the screen where I clicked to enter the multiplayer game mode. The note said that users would be given random avatars.

Apparently Sofia is not happy with her current avatar and wants to renew it by logging out and in again. I didn't have a problem with my body since there was no difference between the power levels I felt when I clenched my fists. I even have a smaller body compared to my normal avatar, making it less likely to be hit by bullets.

"Hoy Victor, are you... hesitating?"

"No no no no, I'm just thinking about why you wanted to go out and come back in, but I couldn't remember."

"Huff, I thought for a second, anyway. The avatar I have now is so big that it probably wouldn't even fit in the place where we were imprisoned at the beginning of the game. So I'm going to get a new avatar by exiting and entering, and you try to get a male avatar."

So Sofia and I closed the connection between us, exited the personal space and re-entered. After doing the same process a few more times, she got a female avatar that was close to her original size, and I got an ordinary-looking middle-aged male avatar.

"Since you don't have any gym machines in your personal space, you're probably entering the game with beginner-level stats. I wonder how you won twice."

"It was just luck. I got a good weapon and the safe zone always appeared where I was. So I was hiding and killing people and I won first place."

"I'm super jealous! Every time I hide somewhere and hope that the safe zone will appear where I am, the safe zone appears at the other end of the map"

"Ahaha, you're pretty unlucky."

Haaah my jaw started to ache from the fake laughter.

"Are you going to explain to me now what gym stuff is for?"

"Oh, that's right, I forgot. You didn't even know that gym items boosted your stats. The training you do in your personal space has an impact on your stats when you start the game. My speed and strength stats have already reached the novice limit of 20 points each. If I want to increase them any more, I'll have to wait until the end of the novice games and the start of the time league games."

Hey hey hey hey hey too much information

"So you're saying that we can increase our stats by using sports items. And also, after this month, there's a new type of game called time league games?"

"Huff is very inconvenient... For now, come over to my side and start punching the sandbag and I'll tell you as much as I can.

As Sofia sat down on my bed, I went and entered her space and came in front of the sandbag hanging from the ceiling. The first thing I couldn't help but notice was how the sandbag was attached to the ceiling.

"That punching bag is from the drawing. Don't look at it, I didn't hang it from the ceiling."

Realizing that thinking about it would make no difference, I took the help and threw my first punch in the sandbag.

When my fist met the punching bag, my reaction was to pull my hand away in disgust, while Sofia was applauding and praising me for how professional I was in throwing my punches.

As I was about to wipe the sweat from the surface of my hand on my clothes, I remembered that no matter how much my avatar changes, my clothes always remain the same. The clothes I had chosen when I created my first avatar, or rather a black thin t-shirt, a black tracksuit and black sneakers, changed sizes but never changed themselves.

"Is there a towel or something here that I can wipe my hands on?"
