Passing Techniques

When the kickoff started, both teams returned to their previous position, as Kaga stood at the center, stepping on the ball, signifying they were on the attacking side.

Meanwhile, Aoi and Oka were standing on his side, of course, meters away from him.

He passed the ball on to the third-year midfielder, who was known for attacking.

Compared to Oka's midfielder, known for defense but could switch to central midfielder due to his tactical insights, Kaga's midfielder was known for his positioning and movement.

He was adept at finding pockets of space in the opponent's half, making him hard to mark and always available to receive the ball.

In other words, the field revolved around him.

He was a left midfielder, and so, as soon as he received the ball, only two players could mark him, with one dashing towards him to try to steal the ball.

However, it was nearly impossible to stop him due to his incredible dribbling skills, always positioning himself in the right space.

When he felt the time was right, he passed the ball to his teammate, slowly advancing.

At this point, Aoi has a bit of interest in trying to tackle the ball if the opponent ever tried to pass the ball at their back, so he slowly proceeded to his opponent, leaving on the half field of his enemy.

Oka did the same, and so, the previous tactic that Oka's team performed seemed to have been executed on Kaga's team.

However, there was a massive difference, for Kaga's team became aggressive when they perceived their enemies' strikers even moved to try tackling the ball.

The player who held the spotlight the most was the left midfielder.

Aoi observed him and was astonished by his style, seemingly always finding the right space to move and position, creating a perfect pass for him to receive.

Their aggressiveness turned out to succeed, as the midfielder and Kaga arrived on the shooting field in a minute.

Kaga was on the right side, the midfielder was on the left side, and on the shooting field, there was a goalkeeper, one defender, and the running two defenders.

The one defender was the right, curly eyebrow, who decided to stop the midfielder rather than Kaga, possibly receiving the ball.

The midfielder was tense, knowing how difficult it was to break the curly eyebrow defense, but having a slight feeling that the curly eyebrow should have been exhausted dealing with Kaga, he decided to proceed with his aggressive attack.

He slowed down his pace, dribbling before the curly eyebrow two steps away from him, intently staring at the ball, searching for the chance to tackle it away.

However, the slight deception of the midfielder's body movement caused him to be shaken, inevitably letting the midfielder pass on his left side.

Yet, the goalkeeper was ready to stop the ball from scoring at all costs, performing a standing frog position.

The midfielder used his side foot to shoot, causing the ball to fly between the goalkeeper's open legs, scoring a goal.

He smirked, feeling like he had it easier.

After all, the enemy team was exhausted after going all out when the match began, and as a substitute, he could outperform them with the fresh energy of his body and mind.

He was not surprised, but it was still worth celebrating.

He ran around his teammates, ignoring the frozen Kaga near the goalpost, expecting for a pass, yet his anticipation was bombarded with disappointment, causing his heart to ache.

There was no joy on his face, contrary to his teammates who were celebrating with the midfielder.

He closed his eyes and sighed.

He whispered, "It seems I'm not in the right condition."

He could not blame the midfielder for not passing anyway, for he scored the goal.

Even if the midfielder missed, there was no guarantee he could execute a perfect pass.

There was no one to blame but himself.

He recognized his weakness.

Unknown to him, Aoi was staring at him, and his gaze was ambiguous.

He thought, 'Not yet. He still has something to show.'

He shook his head and watched the celebration last for a minute.

Now, he has less than ten minutes left to score a hat trick.

'It should be enough.'

After all, if the midfielder scored the goal in less than three minutes, he should be able to do the same thing.

He exhaled a large breath, closing his eyes, attempting to have a better understanding of the current state of his body.

'Body and mind is good. I can still perform well.' He thought to himself.

He opened his eyes and found himself standing at the center, where he would be the one to pass the ball so the match would start.

Oka suggested it, even though Oka should be the one to pass the ball.

It did not matter anyway, so he decided to accept it.

He passed the ball to the right midfielder, not assuming the position of the central midfielder at the moment.

At the same time, Aoi received a series of announcements from the system, causing him to freeze his position.

[Ding! It has been detected by the system that the host passed the ball, not an egoistic behavior, but it was a necessary execution for the match to start.

Furthermore, the system has analyzed that there would be future situations where the host has to pass the ball, not because he lacked the confidence to pass all the defenders, but to create a situation where he could perform a goal.

As a result, the system has decided to add another Technique, Passing Technique, available in the store to be purchased.

If the host wants to see them, the host can ask the system.]

[Ding! The system has finalized the reward contribution for his Egoistic Behavior earlier to score his first goal! The second goal was a bit similar to the first, so the system did not decide to reward you with it.

Here's the breakdown of the rewards…]
