JEALOUSY IS A PART OF MAKING UP

ASTRID

The sun was still high in the sky, though the tree provided enough shade. I felt sleepy. However, I didn't want to sleep. Magnus said Cayon and the others were on their way to find us. He'd said that about an hour ago and the same thing about five minutes ago. I didn't know how long they would still be on their way. Left for me, I'd have wolfed out and found my way.

However, Magnus was right. It was a bad idea to do so. Besides, the forest was vast, and I barely knew my bearings. It was better we stayed put and waited for company so we could get back home safely.

I was much calmer now after Magnus explained his intention of wanting to see my family and making sure that Vesper was okay. I agreed with him despite how much I hated going back there.
