Finding Lana

Magnus

I dressed extra slowly that morning, my eyes burning from the two days of lack of sleep.

Asides my own worries, there were also Astrid's, piercing through my mind and making my chest hurt.

It usually got worse whenever I pulled away from her, or refused to hold eye contact with her. Like the night before, when she'd noticed I wasn't going to spend the night in our room.

But I just couldn't help it, the fear of the worst was what held me down.

"It was what almost made you lose her the first time" Kaiza whispered and I felt the chills down to my toes.

He was right but there was no way she was ordinary, not after she fought off those things alone and completely unconscious.

My head snapped to the door before the knock rang out, and I moved towards it; much slower than I'd have on a normal day.
