Midnight Stroll

As the performance neared the final, Julius seized the moment. Without a word, he grabbed Maverick's hand and swiftly guided him out of their private box.

Maverick, taken by surprise, allowed himself to be pulled along, his brow furrowing in confusion.

"Did you not like the play?" Maverick asked, his voice calm but questioning. "Why are we leaving so soon?"

Julius, walking frantically, glanced back with an apologetic smile. "I liked the play. It's just, well, it'll get crowded soon when the audience starts leaving. Thought we'd beat the rush."

His explanation was quick, and though it made sense, but in reality he just can't tell Maverick that he is running away from Ardent Pitt.

Maverick, deciding not to press the issue further, kept pace with Julius. They soon emerged from the theater into the quiet, cool night.
