Becoming Chunin 3

To become a chunin wasn't as simple as simply having the skills needed to be a chunin. Your group's team leader also had to give one the green light. Going back to when we were about 5 years old, both Itachi and I had the right to attempt the Chunin exam, although there was a good chance we wouldn't have come out alive. By age six, we had a good chance of passing the whole Chunin without too much trouble.

But the chunin exam wasn't something one could do on their own, we needed someone to recommend us for the chunin exam. Kushina although wanted to recommend me, the fact that would leave the rest of our team out was something she held back on doing.

"Why are the two twins not joining the chunin exam for this year?" Danzo asked while standing before Minato, who frowned while looking at the papers of the list of Chunin for this year.

Danzo has a dream. That one day, this Nation would be free of the Uchiha clan. He had a dream, that one day he could become Hokage. But he had to put that dream to the side, he was growing old, and had to face the fact he would die sooner or later. His life goal was to erase the Uchiha clan, bringing peace to this village.

"Team 2 chunin is jealous of Itachi's talent, he doesn't show it, but the foundation has discovered that he has sent back many talents who were more talented than himself to the academy. He can't do that to Itachi thanks to how much of a genius Itachi is... that I could understand. So, why is Gojo not joining?" Danzo asked, to which Minato calmly spoke.

"Gojo lacks many things needed to be chunin, such as the ability to work together with his teammates. He is too arrogant and overconfident in his capability, that's among a few reasons why Kushina refuses to allow him to join the academy." Minato said calmly,

"But he has all right to be arrogant. Is it not true his teammates are slowing him down? I want the twins to join this year, as a show of might to other villages." Danzo said, making Minato's eyebrow raise.

The Chūnin Selection Exams are an opportunity for genin to be promoted to chūnin. The exam structure and evaluation processes differ from one exam to the next so Genin cannot come prepared. Villages originally held their own individual exams. Following the Third Shinobi World War, exams were open to all villages and started being held bi-annually, with villages taking turns for hosting responsibilities. These shared exams improve relations between the villages.

What Danzo wanted to do was show the world the future power the hidden leaf would have, Danzo was sure no one around the shinobi war would stand a chance against the new generation of the Uchiha clan twins.

"If we demonstrate the twin's abilities there, it will enhance the threat our village would pose to other villages," Danzo said to which Minato had to think about it for a moment. Minato was no 3rd hokage and knew that for peace, might is needed

You would not try and fight someone who had a gun when you are butt naked, even if the world was watching and you were trying to act all high and mighty just a moment ago, you would back down unless you were a fool.

The current might of the Hidden leaf. The Hidden Leaf had many powerful beings, Kushina, himself, and the 3 Sannin... oh wait, Orochimaru had left the Hidden Leaf and was now a missing Nin, and Tsunade was facing war trauma. Jairya was the only one left, and he was off searching for Orochimaru.

Minato also had to face the fact that these two were having their talent wasted amongst their team...

"I'm home," Itachi said calmly while returning home. Itachi frowned as Sasuke was normally waiting for him to return. From the moment he always leaves home, Sasuke always waits for his return... oh wait, Sasuke didn't only wait for him. Itachi heart drops while looking inside, and to his displeasure, he finds Sasuke floating in the air, above me.

"Fly! Fly!" Sasuke said happily, leaving Itachi pouting at the sight. I smirked at Itachi, before returning to using Infinity. Sasuke was falling, but he just gave the illusion that he had stopped. of course, due to how small the amount of space he had passed, Sasuke didn't build up that much of a momentum to be in danger. I canceled Infinity out, causing Sasuke to fall into my arms.

"Again!" Sasuke said in joy, to which I laughed, while simply putting Sasuke on my shoulders. It was then Sasuke noticed Itachi.

"Itachi!" Sasuke said happily, causing Itachi's pout to magically disappear, how could he show such a thing to his little brother?

"Gojo, you better not have Sasuke on your shoulders again," Mikoto said from the kitchen, causing me to quickly put Sasuke on the ground. Sasuke was still getting used to walking... but Sasuke also liked the feeling of being up on someone's shoulders. It leads to Sasuke always asking people to carry him on their shoulders and him refusing to walk.

"He was," Itachi said, causing me to glare at him.

"You're home?" Fugaku said calmly while stepping out of his office.

"You don't... cough." I stopped myself just in time, but Fugaku gave me a hard look, which caused me to look away. Fugaku glared at me for some time, before speaking.

"Lord Hokage has called me into the office today, next year, you two will be joining the Chunin exam," Fugaku said causing my eyebrow to raise.

"But that's so too long, can't we just go this year? who would even be our teammates?" I asked with a frown.

"It's going to be a 1v3, is that a problem?" Fugaku asked, to which I frowned even more.

"Isn't that cheating? it should be the whole chunin exam against me, I don't like bullying the weak. it just feels so wrong." I said with a sigh, making Fugaku blankly look at me. Itachi on the other hand was happy. For so long, he had endured carrying a team on his back. He was sure the team leader disliked him, but he couldn't do anything about that.

"One Year... I will defeat you." Itachi said while looking straight at me, I smirked while simply making the infinity hand seal, making Itachi's face drop. he had 1 year to find ways around Infinity or else he wouldn't be able to even touch me. Itachi had already come up with 3 ways, but he couldn't show them until the Chunin exam.

"Hey Daddy, what is happening with Itachi and Gojo?" Sasuke, not wanting to be left out asked. He looked at Fugaku, with a curious look.

"You hurry and become a great Ninja like your brothers," Fugaku said while lifting Sasuke, but hearing Sasuke becoming a Ninja made Itachi smile waiver. He never thought about Sasuke becoming a ninja and clenched his fist at what that would mean for his little brother.

"Alright!" Sasuke said with a bright innocent smile, which brought a rare smile to Fugaku's face.

"Dad, you got something on your face," I said while pointing at my face. Fugaku confused touched his face, causing my eyes to widen.

"Oh, that was your smile... my bad," I said in realization. Fugaku paused for a moment, before putting Sasuke down. Seeing this, I quickly turned and ran away, leaving Mikoto laughing softly, as she watched Fugaku run after me with a belt.

"I was just joking!" I cried while using the Body Flicker Jutsu at full speed. Fugaku wasn't having it, as he infused lightning chakra into the belt, increasing its speed so it could get passed Infinity. He also used the Body Flicker and was of course far faster than me.

Later that day, I stood with pain written on my face while holding my butt. Mikoto had a speechless and helpless look while looking at the enraged Fugaku who was eating his meal.

"Father, what is the Anbu?" Itachi asked, to which Mikoto glared at him, not wanting such talk while we were eating.

"Once you become Chunin, we can talk," Fugaku said calmly, Itachi nodded lightly, blocking my attempts to secretly put the green healthy stuff on my plate onto his...

Well, time passed. Time filled with training for both me and Itachi. I had to train on my own, while Itachi went to train with Shisui. Far away from the village, while waving my hands, in front of me, a small blue orb formed. I frowned seeing how small the orb was.

'Blue is simply taking Infinity and strengthening it, creating a void-like effect that produces fields of attraction.' I thought while sitting down to think about this for some time.

'I shouldn't frown at the orb being small... for smaller black holes are more dangerous than larger ones. So, if I view Blue as a black hole, then I should focus on making Blue as small as possible.' I thought while strengthening Blue. but this caused me to slowly be pulled towards it, causing me to stop.

'Why is light not bending? it looks like Light is just too fast. So, am I bringing Infinity into reality, or does the infinity reflect the power behind my chakra? If I was truly bringing Infinity into reality, then should Blue have like Infinity Pull or at least be able to affect light?' I thought while throwing Blue up, and strengthening it to the limit, but even as trees were sucked towards it, no light was truly affected much.

I had to sit down on this matter and truly think about it. I thought for some time, before having Infinity form around me at full power. Nothing should be able to reach me, yet Light passes through without trouble. it was just too fast.

'Okay, how does infinity work? I divide space. but no matter how much I divide space, there seems to be a limit to it. I can start by dividing things by a 10 over and over, but over time it seems to get harder to continue to divide by 10, so I drop to 9, then 7, 5, 3, 2, 1.7, 1.1, and the list just goes on. In the end, I'm still dividing space, but it's in fractional units. infinitely close to 1. Anything divided by 1 is itself.' I thought calmly.

'There should be a way around this... wait, the photons which create light are smaller than atoms, so light is smaller than atoms. I control energy on the atomic level... wait, can I still improve my energy control?' I thought with a raised eyebrow.

'I did have to learn to control chakra to be able to walk on trees and water. So, although I could control chakra to such a small scale, I still need to learn to manipulate it to get the effect I wish for. So, with that in mind...' I thought while standing up,

'Step one of training, go deeper than the atomic level. the way around this... Onoki. I will go fight him. He has dust release which erases things on the sub-atomic level, so in theory, like how light isn't affected by Infinity, his Dust release shouldn't be affected by Infinity. I just want to see Dust release, and see what the sub-atomic level is like.' I thought with a smirk, before using the transformation jutsu, turning into a dark-skinned man who had clothing belonging to the land of clouds.

Since the land of cloud wanted to start problems, I will draw problems towards them while getting some needed training. So, I disappeared, using the Flying Thunder God jutsu to get closest to the land hidden in the stones. This is how I will train, against an old man far stronger than myself. Energy was small, meaning if I push my eyes to their limits, I should be able to control energy to the scale of the sub-atomic, and maybe even smaller.

I had to look at the facts, I wasn't truly bringing Infinity into reality. If I was, then the whole universe would be affected by my actions. There were two ways around this, the first was to strengthen my chakra to such a level, that the Infinity I bring into reality can be made into a true Infinity.

Second, have my chakra control be infinitely small, allowing me to divide infinitely at a large scale.

I will do both, and the stronger the Infinity or smaller I could divide, the stronger Blue will be. So, for Blue to be powerful, Infinity needs to be powerful. There was a reason why I couldn't strengthen Infinity too much if I overdid it, then it would transform into Blue.

But this also brings out another question, what would happen if I used 100% of my energy in one attack such as Blue? Think about it, I pretty much had an infinite amount of chakra thanks to how small the amount I used, so what would happen if I used the 8 gates to remove my limits, allowing me to use all of my chakra into one move?

Oh yes, I couldn't use all of my chakra freely. There were two reasons for this. one, I couldn't handle it. Think of eating. While others get full eating a full meal, I would get full eating like a small bite. Now change eating into chakra manipulation, and you would see that while others had bodies built for using a lot of chakras, I had a body limiting me from using that same amount. Even so, the small amount I used was as powerful or even stronger than them. So, trying to force myself to do something my body couldn't handle would have its effects,

The last reason was simple. I also couldn't handle such a large amount of energy. How could I control something so large when I have been working on the atomic scale all my life? It's like playing with dust, and someone telling you to play with the sun. How the hell would you even go about that? You would injure yourself... no, injuring yourself is too light. You would die before you could get too close.

So, I wanted to see, what would happen if I removed my limiters.

{I had always planned to make Itachi MC opposite, this means the abilities Itachi would awaken would be different compared to the anime. I wanted a rival for MC, and the best and most talented person in my book was Itachi. But yes, Itachi might be the most talented, but he doesn't have the best potential. But wouldn't that mean Itachi is accepting his fate if he gave up because he has low potential? There was a reason I gave Itachi so much attention from the start, not many people know Itachi's early years or his dreams, so I took screen time away from MC, to focus on Itachi. But I didn't give Itachi too much focus, such as him slowly falling in love with Izumi, and so on.

Anyways, next chapter, MC Vs One Of The Strongest Kage. There MC would learn more about Earth lease, Dust release, and so much more.}
