Chapter 23

I couldn't help but feel some forced interest as I looked the stand left from right, they were various items scattered around such as a severed ravens wing, a bottled squid tentacle, and "orstrid blood," whatever that was.

"Sure?"

I didn't exactly know what I was saying, these items were pretty weird and unorthodox but they made my curiosity peak like a mountain.

"A potion perhaps?"

My brow furrowed.

"A potion, for what?"

I inquired, leaning in closer to look the man in the eyes. He simply chuckles before grabbing an assortment of different items from the stand and opening the lids.

He grabbed the orstrid blood and poured a few drops into another bottle, then grabbing the squid tentacle and mashing with a small hammer before dropping the broken remains into the bottle, and then grabbing the raven's feather and dropping it into the bottle, it disintegrated the second the feathery tip made contact with the formula.

The mixture then started to glow an illusory orange color, illuminating the area around us. The man shook the bottle around for a few seconds to ensure that nothing went wrong with the process, and that all the ingredients were mixed well.

"Here you go."

He whispered with a grin.

"Actually, you can keep it for free, I won't charge you, kid."

I let out an awkward grin as I put the potion into my pocket, and the second it made contact it stopped glowing.

"Thank you, I guess."

I thanked him awkwardly as I gave him a little wave before turning back and looking for Aizawa and Shinso, who probably didn't even realize I was gone.

Then the sound of bickering filled my ears as I turned to my left and saw Aizawa arguing with another store vendor about the price of eggs, which was a little different and less collected than his rational personality.

I approached Aizawa and Shinso before heaping the meat back onto my shoulders, looking at Shinso before whispering.

"What's he on about?"

Shinso turned to me and chuckled.

"Well, Mr. Aizawa doesn't have enough to really pay for the eggs, so he's "negotiating" a fair price."

I laughed a little.

"Well, he's doing it quite aggressively."

Shinso nodded with a small smile, then the sound of arguing toned down as the vendor finally handed him the eggs, a terrified look on his face, Aizawa seemed to glow with a bright red aura.

"Finally, we have our eggs."

Aizawa said, his voice was filled with annoyance and frustration, giving the vendor one more glare before finally walking away with the eggs and milk in hand.

We reached Oboro's apartment and Aizawa closed the door behind him, putting the items on the table before wiping his sweat. Me and Shinso approached the freezer in the corner of the room and put the meat inside of it.

"Well, what now?"

I asked, cupping the potion inside my pocket, attempting to hide the bottle. Aizawa simply lied down on the couch and almost instantly fell asleep, Shinso just sat down on the other couch and reached his hand into the bookshelf before pulling out a very thick one.

About 30 minutes passed before the click of the lock was heard and Oboro stepped into the room, throwing off his work attire and stretching.

"I'm back, guys."

He looked at the room and chuckled upon seeing Aizawa asleep on the couch.

"Classic Aizawa, he'd always fall asleep."

I perked up, turning to look at Oboro.

"Did you have an Aizawa here?"

Oboro nodded, stretching on the couch while staring at the ceiling.

"I did."
