Synopsis

Crossers invaded the world and thrust Humanity into an interworld conflict.

Humanity's instinct for survival was stimulated—rekindling the ancestral bloodline's legacy that lies dormant within them. Vampires, Elves, and even Demons were not mere figures of fantasy, but rather the true ancestors of Humanity in ages past.

Thus, Hybrids were reintroduced to the world.

Lucivar Asarafall, a man of humble origin—failed to awaken his bloodline. Despite his good deeds, his family loathed him. In his final trial, he swore to succeed, but fate intervened, and he was chosen as the monthly sacrifice for his city.

In a near-death experience, his bloodline awakened, an Angel.

A turning point in his life, but soon he realized that he was not the Angel he thought he was.

In a world where the rulers were descendants of Dracula, the Dark Prince—or Chi Long, the Inferno King, the bloodline of malevolent beings from realms beyond mortal comprehension coursed through Lucivar's veins.

While others became Hybrids, Lucivar became the messenger of Evil Gods, a False Angel.

"Who cares about good or evil? If I kill someone wicked, it's a win, one less rival in my way. If I kill someone noble, it is still a win—the world would've consumed them sooner or later. So why not let it happen by my hand? After all, I'm more practical. I became stronger and you get a painless death, win-win"

Very manipulative and unhinged MC, be warned. He's a slave to the Evil Gods.

A trickster God.

An arrogant God.

A chaotic God.

A wrathful God.

A puritanical God.

Read to find who these Gods are!

1 chapter per day (2,000~ words)

Author Note: Not for those who want fast development from the start but if you want good characters, then this is your novel! Chapter 1 to 22 will be focused on the MC's descent to villainous but once it kicks off, you won't be disappointed!

This story deserves more then 5 stars if I am to be honest. This novel will have you hooked after just a few chapters and leave you wanting more. Compared to other novels centered around These themes such as gore, sexual content, mystery, fantasy, supernatural, and bloodlines this novel beats out pretty much all of them. The MC isn't overpowered from the beginning or nerfed. The world background itself is incredibly vivid and makes you feel like you are actually there. The MC may be Evilesque but he doesn't just mindlessly slaughter for the fun of it like another certain MC. The use of gods and their lore has only further increased the appeal of this novel. The other really has gone above and beyond to study various mythologies to a degree they flawlessly are sewn into the story. It really brings these gods to life. Plus the strange angel bloodline that seems to struggle for survival against these other god bloodlines. Seeing Sutekh (Seth) being one of them is extremely exciting since his mythology is one of the most obscure. The author hasn't stretched anything out compared to others. The pace of the progress is very smooth. Nothing in the novel feels forced or like they were trying to hard. This novel could easily be a hit fantasty/supernatural novel in physical book stores. I could see it in school/public libraries as well. Lucivar's transition from innocent being to twisted individual has been phenomenal, allowing you to see his inner struggle of not wanting to be reminded of his weakness, getting stronger and him wanting/trying to be have somewhat normal relationships with others in his own way. The other seems to studied a bit into psychology (like alot). Most authors don't seem to put any effort into studying psychology. It's like they use Google and that's it. This Author is an absolute treasure to the world of fiction.

124 chapters, time for review. I have to say I was initially a bit suspicious of the story progression but I was rewarded with my patience. This is one of the only books in a long time that I feel like I want to re-read again from the beginning. Just because the mc is just fun. Pros: 1. The mc: I like how mc works with the anti hero gimmick. But still there is a bit of good within all this darkness. But at the same time, you feel suspicious cause the mc has abused good people to reach his goals. 2. The story/Progression: I love the fact the author has managed to keep the story progression so stable. Every story ark has a handful of characters and a fixed end goal. This makes it feel so refreshing to read through the events and how everything lines up, not thru luck but mostly due to the plans of the mc. 3. Characters and personalities: Wont lie some characters are garbage but every story has those. But the intresting thing is how the author builds them. Its refreshing to see an author which has a clear idea about these things. For example initial chapters I hated Leandra’s personality. She was monotone, irrational and irritating. And by the next 20 chapters I started liking the character. Or Thalia who I thought was just a boring damsel in distress but even she with minor story interaction grew on me. 4. Event conclusion- these are minor event which happen through the story, like a dungeon, important meeting or a small fight which are needed to start a chain or events. These are well written and tries to show how smart mc is. I am happy how the author does not make the mc look stupid, he has a plan for most situations. Cons: 1. World building: I have to say the only part that bugs me most of the time is the world mc lives in. One moment you are having a fight with not so unique shield and swords and tge next moment you are in a mall playing a game in an arcade. One moment you are traveling in a carriage using a horse and then there are sports cars in the story. There is a very big clash of technology and fantasy in the story. This is only a review as 124 chapters but the book is vey rewarding. I feel great full I decided to start this book. The initial few chapters were shaky for me but the author knows what he is doing in order to make the foundation of the story.

Great novel for the supernatural genre. A sense of mystery around his bloodlines as there is no system to explain it, makes it little different then the generic one's.

I'm not used to writing reviews, infact, this is my first review on webnovel but regardless.. Here's my thoughts: The world feels alive, the characters feel real instead of just feeling soulless. Lucivar is an interesting and complex main character, being self-serving without going out of his way just to be evil, just to be different from typical hero MCs. I love the environments so far, good descriptions of said environments too. The story is advancing at a nice pace imo. Can't wait to see where the author goes with this story!

Man this book gotta be one if the best books ive read so far. MC goes through alot of trauma which really shaped him to become more smarter and calculated. The writing is top tier and isn’t repetitive at all. The power scaling and system is also very interesting. It can be confusing at first but overtime you start to understand. Overall a very good book. Coming from someone who is very picky.

I just had to comment again. My goodness this gotta be my favourite novel. The writing the plotting and the personality of the characters just match together perfectly. I can’t stress out how good this is without spoiling. Yes at the beginning its hard to adjust to the mc personality but remember he is still new to this. Overtime this mc just gets smarter and smarter everymove he makes it planned out miles away. Author you really out did yourself with this one please never drop this book.

This book is awesome. The enigmatic powers yet to be unlocked always make me flip the next pages. I admire the author's style and think Lucivar is a dreamboat.

I am not gonna lie. This novel isn't actually bad. It's okay. But I guess it's not for me. The sole reason I started this novel was because of the Villain tag. I wanted to see an evil mc. But the mc wasn't that evil. I get that the author was trying to make it look natural but at some point it just looked like he was forcing it. Especially with what happened with Deliliah. The mc should have turned to the dark side way before that happened. I mean wasn't getting sold by his family and backstabbed by his friends enough. Why did we need to wait for that certain even with Deliliah to happen. It just felt forced to me which left a bad taste in my mouth.

It’s not for me, MC is incredibly pathetic no matter when he is ‘good’ or ‘evil’, because he has fundamental problem of having no backbone and no dignity. MC has no fortitude and mental strength at all. Just as he is easily manipulated to being ‘good’ (which in context of this novel is being a sucker) he is also easily influenced to being ‘evil’. He has no convictions and no principles and worst he has nor brains or critical thinking. There are many events that happened/not happened in the novel just bc author wished so, without any kind of build up or setup. The people and side characters don’t feel like real people when tradegy happens or something goes wrong. The example of this is the death of important character, which was extremely forced and unrealistic and then the worst part was the reactions of people who supposedly cared for that character — barely anything here. That death could’ve been easily avoided if one character literally didn’t ran away and abandoned them and you know what happens to that character after? Nothing, nobody is angry with her for incredible betrayal in a life and death situation, they just act as if they didn’t see her running away. Note that she was the strongest in the group and would have made a difference. Another example of such event is MC in a random town killing town’s captain, but before doing that he also informs the captain’s buddies about the ‘secret’ meat up in a stable. So two of captain’s pals know where captain went and with whom. Then the captain didn’t return and what happens next? Nothing, apparently nobody suspects the suspect number one even though they spent like 3 days in that town. The last thing that bothered me is absolutely nonsensical world-building. MC is from the poor part of some city, but he has TV in his home and a phone. And you know what fascinates the MC? He heard that there is a city, where there are street lamps… Yea, having TV and a smartphone is nothing compared to a city that at nights has lights from street lamps. This novel has a weird mesh of modern technology that we use and technology from medieval times, which just does make a sense
