The drive back to the house was cordial, nice, and honestly, Andrew felt like he was floating. It was nice to pull into their driveway, Maxwell waddle out of the car and Andrew would help him to the door, nod to the security that was sitting in the car out front, and then they'd enter the house together.
It was just…nice. He felt like they were taking a step forward. They were actually living together now, and he couldn't help the giant, goofy, happy smile on his face as he took off his shoes.
He could feel Maxwell watching him, but even if Maxwell asked what was going on, he wasn't sure what to say. That he was happy? He was sure that Maxwell was going to find it suspicious, but that was all Andrew could say.
He was happy.
