"I-I don't know. It's…it's hard to voice." Andrew felt small. His voice mirrored his feeling but May squeezed his cheeks tighter. Her gaze, still wet, grew serious.
"It's going to be hard. Of course it is, but if you don't voice it, how else am I going to know whether I should storm his company or not?" She joked, and Andrew sniffed.
"You don't need to do that." Andrew mumbled, but May's expression didn't change.
"Speak, Andy." She ordered, her tone more forceful now, and Andrew swallowed.
"Can I take the pain relief medication first?" He was stalling for time, but he also couldn't think past the throbbing of his headache either. May stared at him, not blinking for a moment before she sighed and stepped back. She reached across him, going to her side of the table where she retrieved the bottle of medication he hadn't noticed was there and popped it open.
