As the many prodigies returned, the sky above the exit was densely packed with people.
Yet for some reason, more than ninety percent of them were disheveled, battered, and bruised, looking utterly miserable!
The various sects were dumbstruck by the scene.
While injuries and fatalities in the secret realm were normal—after all, battles over Artifacts were to be expected—this extent of damage was unprecedented, with over ninety percent of the participants in such a sorry state!
Before any of the sects could ask questions, there was a loud "Boom!" as the teleportation array at the entrance abruptly exploded.
"What?"
"What on earth happened?!"
"What did you brats do in there? How did you manage to destroy the entire secret realm?!"
The leaders of the three major sects clutched their chests in distress.
The Scarlet Cloud Valley was the Northern Region's finest secret realm!
Every two hundred years, they harvested vast resources and Artifacts from within.
There were even rumors of an immortal legacy—though no one had claimed it, it still gave them hope.
But now, this secret realm, which had existed for thousands of years, had suddenly collapsed!?
Moments later, the returning prodigies from each sect gathered on the mountain peaks where their sects awaited.
"Why do you all look like this? What exactly happened in there?"
Sect Master Yang Chun glared, questioning the disciples of the Jin Ding Sect.
"Well… we don't really know, either. All of a sudden, a horde of Unity Realm monsters appeared and attacked us relentlessly!"
"If we hadn't surrendered our Artifacts, we would've been dead in there!"
"Wait a minute!"
"Look, Sect Master! Those monsters… they came out with us!!!"
The Jin Ding Sect disciples reported their experiences with downtrodden faces.
Suddenly, one of them gasped and pointed to the sky, where countless corpse puppets were crowding.
Soon, as the disciples from various sects reported their experiences, everyone pieced together what had happened.
Not only had the prodigies been exploited by Leng Yanran, forced to hand over their rewards one by one, but they'd also lost many of their own Artifacts.
Just when they had a chance to search for Artifacts, Unity Realm monsters seized them all!
"Gasp—"
"Those monsters… they seem to be connected to that Fairy Leng."
Sect Master Yang Chun, casting a glance at the corpse puppets, was shocked to see that among them were two powerful beasts at the Extinction Realm, and even a dark green figure of indeterminate strength!
All of these monsters showed great deference to Leng Yanran!
Anyone with any sense could see it now: these monsters had been helping Leng Yanran collect Artifacts!
"Fairy Leng, what you've done here seems a bit improper," said the Sect Master of the Misty River Sect, his cultivation at the ninth layer of the Unity Realm.
"While Artifacts in the secret realm may indeed go to the strong, surely you could've spared our disciples from such severe injuries?"
"I ask for nothing more than that you compensate all of the Northern Region sects with half of your secret realm gains."
"In this way, you'd still have a generous haul and would gain a reputation for fairness. What do you think?"
After he spoke, all the other sects remained silent, turning to Leng Yanran, waiting to hear her response.
"Um, Fairy Leng, my Jin Ding Sect will abstain from this matter. We'll take no share of the secret realm's gains."
"Ahem, our Po Yuan Temple prefers to avoid disputes as well. We'll join Sect Master Yang Chun in opting out."
"My Hong Guang Sect will also abstain; Fairy Leng, please do as you wish."
Sect Master Yang Chun knew Leng Yanran's power very well, and made a decision immediately.
As for Abbot Kongkai, he couldn't help but feel terrified when he thought of Leng Yanran's master, and hurriedly shook him off.
The Hong Guang Sect, one of the three major sects, seeing the others opting out, had no desire to stand out.
"Oh, I see," Leng Yanran replied calmly. "Very well, then. Some compensation is indeed in order."
"How about a jade pendant imbued with my master's Divine Technique? Would that be sufficient?" Her expression remained unperturbed as she lightly raised her hand, signaling the man in the coffin not to act.
"A jade pendant with that senior's powers? Of course, that would be more than enough!" exclaimed the Misty River Sect Master, his eyes brightening.
Leng Yanran's master was no ordinary cultivator; acquiring even one of his divine jade pendants would be enough to make it the sect's most treasured artifact!
'Fortune favors the bold,' he thought gleefully.
"Then catch it," Leng Yanran said, pulling a jade pendant from her storage pouch and tossing it casually toward the Misty River Sect's mountain peak.
Everyone present watched with envious eyes, regretting that they hadn't spoken up first.
That pendant could have been theirs!
"Thank you, Fairy Le—Wait—What the—?!" The Misty River Sect Master's voice was cut off as he noticed a crack appearing on the pendant's surface, his eyes widening in horror.
The pendant shattered, releasing a towering, pitch-black monument over three thousand feet tall, emanating a suffocating aura as it smashed onto the Misty River Sect's mountain peak.
After the resulting screams faded, the peak was gone, replaced by the terrifying, unyielding black monument.
"Gulp!" Everyone else stared in terror, swallowing hard, their earlier envy now transformed into shock.
Sect Master Yang Chun murmured to himself, "As expected… Taking advantage of this Demonnes is no simple feat. Had it been easy, the Luo Heaven Sect wouldn't have been annihilated."
"Does anyone else require compensation?" Leng Yanran asked with a casual glance around. "I have plenty of jade pendants, and if anyone else would like one, I am not a stingy person."
She turned her gaze toward the assembled experts, her expression calm, as though discussing something trivial, even after obliterating the Misty River Sect.
"Oh, Fairy Leng, you jest," someone quickly responded, all sects immediately adopting a new tone.
"The Misty River Sect Master was far too audacious. We were already displeased with him."
"Yes, even if Fairy Leng hadn't intervened, we would have dealt with him ourselves!"
"You saved us the trouble, Fairy Leng. Much appreciated, ha-ha…"
With all thoughts of compensation extinguished, the Sect Masters chuckled nervously, maintaining flattery and deference.
"Very well, if there are no further objections, you may all disperse," Leng Yanran said, preparing to return to the mountain. She was eager to see her master again!
But suddenly, everyone's eyes widened, looking to the distance, where several figures exuded an overwhelming aura, making everyone feel the urge to bow as they flew toward them at incredible speed.
