Chapter 7: The Lost Lapras

(Last time, Mew and her friends arrived at Valencia Island.)

(to pick up a mysterious Pokeball called the GS ball.)

(for Professor Oak from Professor Ivy.)

(After getting the GS ball, Brock decides to stay and work at Professor Ivy's lab.)

(So Mew and the others decide to head back home.)

(and not wanting to take another Blimp trip.)

(Mew and the others are on the ferry boat for a detour, an island called Tangelo Island.)

(On the ferryboat they are on, it begins to arrive at Tangelo Island, their destination.)

(Mew and her friends, and Pokemon look to see the island.)

Mew: "There it is,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "So this is Tangelo Island. It's very pretty."

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "And it looks cool. I wonder if this place has a Pokemon Center."

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "I wouldn't be surprised if it is."

(Mew says.)

(Misty says.)

Misty: "The ferry is going to dock, so we should head down."

Mew: "Right,"

(Mew says.)

(As soon as the ferry dock.)

(Mew and her friends walk down the stairs, where they're greeted by two hula girls.)

(One of them says.)

First Hula girl: "Welcome to Tangelo Island and to Pokemon Park!"

Second Hula girl: "The Pokemon vacation destination!"

(Another Hula girl says.)

(Soon, the two girls begin to put flower necklaces around the their neck.)

(Then one places lei around Pikachu's neck.)

First Hula girl: "Here's one for you, too,"

(They also do the same to the other Pokemon.)

(Meloetta sniffs the flower and says.)

Meloetta: "Melo Meloetta." (They're very fresh and tropical.)

(Skwovet begins to nibble on his.)

(Soon, the P.A says.)

P.A: "The Tangelo Island Chamber of Commerce welcomes one and all to the Pokemon Park, the world's first Pokemon theme park."

Everyone: "A theme park?"

(Mew and the others say, surprised.)

(Even the Pokemon are surprised.)

(Soon, Mew and the others begin to explore the town.)

Misty: "Well, guys, looks like we picked a fun island to go to."

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "This place looks really cool."

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "I agree. It's a great place for us to rest, have some fun, and to get some tasty food."

(Mew says.)

(Right on cue, Togepi and Pichu's stomachs begin growling.)

(Misty notices it.)

Misty: "You two are hungry aren't you?"

Tomo: "Yeah. I'm getting hungry too."

(Tomo says.)

(Meloetta and Skwovet nod their heads in reply.)

Mew: "Well then, we should go find somewhere to eat."

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly, Pikachu and Eevee sense something.)

(Mew looks at them and asks.)

Mew: "What's up guys?"

(Suddenly, they begin to hear a cry.)

(Misty notices.)

Misty: "Look!"

(Soon, they see a large sea Pokemon that resembles a plesiosaur.)

(It has a blue hide with darker blue spots and a cream-colored underside.)

(It has large brown eyes, a short horn on its forehead, and tightly curled ears.)

(It has a long neck and four flippers.)

(The foremost flippers are larger than the hind.)

(On its back is a heavy, gray shell covered in blunt knobs.)

(It looks like it's been beached and it's surrounded by three guys.)

Tomo: "It's a Lapras!"

(Tomo says.)

(Mew notices the scared look on Lapras' face and says.)

Mew: "I sense trouble."

(She jumps over the fence and lands on the sand to see what's going on.)

(Meanwhile, the three guys are acting like bullies to the Lapras.)

(One of them shouts.)

First person: "Come on!"

(The one sitting on Lapras' shell says.)

Second person: "Get up and get moving, you stupid lump!"

Third person: "You better listen, or else!"

(The third guy says, and is about to beat Lapras with a stick.)

(Lapras closes its eyes fearing the worst, but isn't being hurt.)

(Lapras opens its eyes and is shocked.)

(to see Mew using her arm as a shield as the man has the stick against him.)

(Mew angrily says.)

Mew: "Give me that stupid stick."

(and takes it away from the guy.)

(She then runs to the shore and throws the stick in the ocean.)

(Mew marches over to the three and demands.)

Mew: "You bullies, quit picking on that Lapras! And how dare you try to beat it like that!"

(That's when Misty and the others arrive.)

Misty: "I bet it never did anything to hurt you!"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. Leave it alone!"

(Tomo says.)

Meloetta: "Loetta!" (That's right!)

(Meloetta says.)

Skwovet: "Skwovet!" (Back off!)

(Skwovet says.)

(Then Pikachu says.)

Pikachu: "Pika Pika!" (Go take a hike!)

Eevee: "Eevee!" (Or else)

(Eevee adds.)

(Lapras looks over to see the group of strangers.)

(especially Mew, the girl with the teal hair, is trying to defend it.)

(It even sees Mew have taken a beating from one of them.)

(The one with the sunglasses sitting on Lapras questions.)

Second person: "Who asked your opinion?"

First person: "Yeah, this is none of your business!"

(The guy with the blue shirt says.)

Third person: "We don't need any little brats like you telling us how to handle our Pokémon!"

(The guy with the green hair says.)

First person: "Yeah, we're getting ready for our big Pokemon battle against the Orange Crew, so get lost!"

(The man with the blue shirt.)

(Misty angrily says.)

Misty: "I can't believe you three are Pokemon trainers!"

Mew: "I don't know who the Orange Crew is, but I doubt they'll let you compete if they know you treat Pokemon like this, especially for picking on an innocent baby."

(Mew angrily says.)

(The one with the red shirt brings out his Pokeball.)

Person with red shirt: "This'll teach you to butt into our business, kids. Ha! Go!"

(Then throws his Pokeball.)

(The other two do the same.)

Other two: "Go!"

(Out of the Pokeballs are Spearow, Hitmonchan, and a Beedrill.)

(The one with the red shirt says.)

Person with red shirt: "Spearow, let's show these guys what a real Pokémon battle looks like."

Person with the blue shirt and white bandana: "Beedrill, let's get buzzing!"

(the one with the blue shirt and white bandana says.)

(The one with the green hair says.)

Person with green hair: "Let's knock em out, Hitmonchan!

Mew: "They don't scare us! Right, Pikachu? Eevee?"

(Mew says.)

(Pikachu and Eevee agree.)

Misty: "Get inside where it's safe."

(Misty says, putting Togepi and Pichu in her backpack.)

(Soon the three Pokemon charge.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Alright, Pikachu! Eevee!"

(Pikachu and Eevee charge into battle, but someone halts it.)

???: "Hold it!"

(Everyone turns to see the one who interferes with the battle is a boy.)

(that looks like he's a few years older than Mew.)

(The man has dark green hair and brown eyes.)

(He is wearing a short-sleeved, green shirt with a darker green border on it.)

(dark red shorts, a headband which was colored salmon, white socks.)

(an orange backpack, and tennis shoes.)

(colored purple and bright orange, with white soles.)

???: "This should only take a second,"

(The stranger says.)

(He measures and examines the Pokemon from the three bullies.)

(He starts with Spearow.)

???: "The feathers on your Spearow indicate it's not getting enough vitamins and it could stand to lose a few pounds."

(Then turns to Beedrill.)

???: "The coloring on this Beedrill is pretty poor."

(Then turn to Hitmonchan.)

???: "And it's obvious this Hitmoncham isn't getting enough exercise. Yeah, just as I suspected."

(Mew and her friends are baffled to see the strange observing and sketching the Pokemon.)

Pikachu: "Pika Pika?" (Who is this guy?)

(Pikachu asks.)

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee," (I have no idea.)

(Eevee replies.)

(The stranger says.)

???: "It's easy to see that these Pokemon are pitifully underdeveloped."

trainer with red shirt: "What do you mean 'underdeveloped'?"

(The trainer with the red shirt questions.)

(Then the one with the blue shirt questions.)

trainer with blue shirt: "Who made you the expert?"

(Then the stranger approaches Pikachu.)

???: "But this Pikachu looks just perfect. You can tell because its coat's so shiny."

Pikachu: "Pika?" (It is?)

(Pikachu says, confused.)

(Then the stranger turns to Eevee.)

???: "And this Eevee is just as perfect as Pikachu. It's fur is clean, soft, and shiny."

(Eevee blushes a bit.)

(Then the kid picks up Pikachu and places him on the log.)

(Soon, the boy begins to sketch it.)

???: "I just want to make a quick sketch. Now hold still."

(The boy says, and begins drawing it.)

(Pikachu is very confused about what the boy is doing.)

(He then says.)

???: "It looks like your Pikachu's electric sacs are in super shape. Really strong."

(Then he has an idea.)

???: "Hey! Why don't I measure Pikachu's power levels with my voltage meter right now?"

(He brings out a voltmeter and holds the rods close to Pikachu's cheeks.)

???: "Okay. Now show me a Thunder Shock."

Pikachu: "Pi?" (Huh?)

(Pikachu says, confused.)

(Soon, the three punks realize that they are being ignored.)

(The one with the blue shirt says.)

Trainer with blue shirt: "We can't let these creeps ignore us!"

Trainer with red shirt: "Let's go, guys!"

(The one with the red shirt says.)

(The one with the orange shirt says.)

Trainer with orange shirt: "It's battle time!"

(With that, the three Pokemon begin charging towards the boy.)

(Tomo calls out.)

Tomo: "Watch out!"

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu! Eevee! Use Thunderbolt!"

(With that, Pikachu and Eevee join forces.)

(and give them an extra big and powerful attack.)

(shocking everyone with their attack.)

(The boy holding the device weakly says.)

???: "That was pretty good."

(The three trainers are shocked to see their Pokemon including themselves have been fried.)

Mew: "Alright, are you three are going to leave or we're going to have to make you."

(Mew says.)

(Seeing there is no match for them, they all retreat, so does their Pokemon.)

Mew: "And that's that,"

(Mew says.)

Pikachu: "Pikachu," (That's right.)

(Pikachu says.)

(Eevee says.)

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee!" (They deserve it!)

(Mew then hurries to Lapras and kneels to it.)

Mew: "Are you okay, sweetie? Did those mean boys scare you?"

(The little Lapras nods its head in reply, nervously.)

(In truth, it doesn't know if it can trust humans, even if they defend it.)

(but it notices the bad bruise on Mew's arm.)

(That made it remember that Mew saved it from being abused.)

(It then looks at Mew with some truth in her eyes.)

Mew: "Here little guy, maybe this can help you feel better."

(Mew says, and presents a kind of medicine to Lapras.)

(Lapras is reluctant, but seeing Mew's kind smile, it decides to open its mouth.)

(Allowing Mew to spray a bit of the medicine in Lapras's mouth, and it begins to eat it.)

(Mew then gently pets Lapras, calming it down a little, and begins to have more trust in Mew.)

(Misty, Tomo, the Pokemon, and the boy hurry over.)

Misty: "Is Lapras okay?"

(Misty asks.)

Mew: "I think Lapras is going to be fine, but he was hurt, scared, and upset."

(Mew says.)

(Then the boy says.)

???: "I'll go find Nurse Joy and get help."

Mew: "Okay. Thank you,"

(Mew says.)

(Then the boy hurries off to find Nurse Joy.)

(Sometime later, the group arrives at the Pokemon Center.)

(with the little Lapras so it can feel better.)

(Misty asks.)

Misty: "How is Lapras doing, Nurse Joy?"

Nurse Joy: "There weren't any serious injuries. Lapras will be just fine after a good rest."

(Nurse Joy says.)

Misty: "That's good news,"

(Misty says.)

(Then everyone turns to see Lapras in a pool outside the center.)

(and appears to be sleeping.)

(Of course, Mew has also been treated from the bruise she receives from the boy with the stick.)

(But Nurse Joy says.)

Nurse Joy: "But there is a problem. That Lapras is afraid of having any kind of contact with people at all. I only managed to treat it when Mew was close next to it."

Misty: "No wonder, after the way those guys on the beach were treating it."

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. Those guys are mean,"

(Tomo says.)

???: "That's too bad, especially since it's just an infant,"

(the boy says.)

(Mew then wonders.)

Mew: "I wonder why a baby Lapras was on the beach alone, and away from it's pod."

???: "Well, big schools of Lapras pass by the island this time every year. This one must have gotten separated from its group, maybe during that last big storm we had."

(The boy says.)

Tomo: "Sounds like you know a lot about Pokemon."

(Tomo says.)

???: "Well, you learn a lot from being a Pokemon Watcher."

(The boy says.)

Everyone: "A Pokémon Watcher?"

(The group replies, curiously.)

Mew: "What is that?"

(Mew asks.)

Nurse Joy: "Pokémon Watchers travel the world. They go looking for all kinds of Pokémon so they can observe and study their characteristics and abilities. They even search for new and undiscovered Pokemon."

(Nurse Joy explains.)

Tomo: "Cool,"

(Tomo says.)

Misty: "So that's why you were taking all those notes about Pikachu and the other Pokemon."

(Misty says.)

Tracey: "Yeah. My name is Tracy."

(The boy introduces himself.)

Misty: "I'm Misty, and this is Togepi, and Pichu. It's nice to meet you."

(Misty says, holding the Pokemon.)

Tracey: "Nice to meet you too."

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "I'm Tomo, and these are my friends, Meloetta and Skwovet."

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "And I'm Mew, and these are my buddies, Pikachu and Eevee."

(Mew says.)

(Hearing her name makes Tracey asks.)

Tracey: "Mew? You wouldn't happen to be the Mew, the youngest trainer to win the Pokemon League in the Kanto Region?"

Mew: "Um yeah. You know about me?"

(Mew asks, confused.)

Tracey: "Yeah. I think it's amazing the way you battle, the way you battle with your Charizard is amazing."

(Tracey says.)

Mew: "I… I didn't think anyone out here would know about me."

(Mew says, feeling embarrassed.)

Tracey: "Well, I'm not surprised, you're the first Pokemon trainer to win the Pokemon League at your age."

(Tracey says.)

Misty: "Wow Mew, it sounds like you're becoming famous."

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. That sounds cool,"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "I guess,"

(Mew says, embarrassed.)

(Then Mew has an idea.)

Mew: "Hey, what do you say all of us try getting that Lapras back with its friends where it belongs?"

Misty: "Sounds great,"

(Misty agrees.)

Tracey: "Count me in!"

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "Let's do this,"

(Tomo says.)

(Unknown to Mew and her friends, Team Rocket is able to find them.)

(on the island and see them through the window.)

Meowth: "Our losing streak's about to end,"

(Meowth says.)

(James says.)

James: I think our luck must finally be turning. We're so close to grabbing a really rare Pokémon."

Jessie: "Success is just one step away,"

(Jessie says.)

(Suddenly, three trainers, each carrying a Pokemon rush into the center as they trample James.)

(One of the boys says.)

the boy: "Nurse Joy, my Sandshrew got scratched while we were training by accident."

girl trainer: "And my Voltorb is kinda tired, so maybe it could stay here for a day, maybe?"

(The girl trainer says.)

(Then the other male says.)

Male trainer: "Please, nurse. My Starmie needs a checkup cause I want to challenge the Orange Crew."

Nurse Joy: "Well, let's have a good look at them."

(Nurse Joy says.)

Tomo: "The Orange Crew?"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "I think I remember where I heard that from,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "You're right. Those three guys on the beach said something about battling the Orange Crew, too."

(Misty says.)

Mew: "You're right,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "I wonder what it's all about,"

(Tomo replies.)

(Then Tracey explains.)

Tracey: "The Orange Crew is what everybody here calls this group of gym leaders from the islands of the Orange Archipelago."

Misty: "Gym leaders?"

(Misty says, confused.)

(Soon, they notice a poster for the orange league.)

Tracey: "Trainers can't compete in the Orange League until they battle everybody in the Orange Crew."

Mew: "Whoa. I didn't know there was a Pokemon League here in the Orange Islands."

(Mew says.)

Misty: "Well, it sounds like you have to be a pretty good trainer to get into the Orange League."

(Misty says.)

(Tomo turns to Mew.)

Tomo: "Hey Mew, maybe you should enter the Orange League. You did great in the Kanto League, and I'll bet you'll do great on the Orange Island too."

Mew: "As much as I like to, but we promise Professor Oak to get the GS ball back to him."

(Mew says.)

Misty: "She's right. I think Mew will do great at the Orange League, but we need to get the GS ball back to Professor Oak."

(Misty says.)

(Interested, Tracey asks.)

Tracey: "Did you say Professor Oak?"

Mew: "Maybe we can talk to him and see what he thinks."

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. Let's go ask him."

(Tomo says.)

(Tracey asks again.)

Tracey: "THE Professor Oak?"

(Soon, the group rings the professor and he picks up)

(The Professor Oak says.)

Professor Oak: "Hi, Mew! Hello, Misty. Hello, Tomo."

Mew: "Hi Professor Oak. We still got the GS ball, and we're gonna bring it back to you real soon."

Professor Oak: "That's great, but where are you calling from?"

(Professor Oak asks.)

Mew: "From Tangelo Island."

(Mew answers.)

Professor Oak: "Tangelo Island, huh? Then I suppose you heard about the Orange League then."

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "Yeah. I did. I want to know if I can compete in it, but I know I need to deliver you the GS ball."

(Mew says.)

Professor Oak: "Well Mew, I think you should give it a try. Of course, I'm very eager to take a look at that GS Ball, but it's also important for you to get in some rigorous training during your journey."

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "Thank you, Professor,"

(Mew says.)

Professor Oak: "Good luck, Mew,"

(Professor Oak says.)

(Mew ends the call, and soon Tracey has become ecstatic.)

Tracey: "WOW! I can't believe I know some people who know my hero, Professor Oak!"

Tomo: "What's the big deal about knowing Professor Oak?"

(Tomo asks.)

Misty: "Yeah, he's a really nice guy, but.."

(Misty says.)

(But Tracey interrupts.)

Tracey: "Every watcher knows Professor Oak is one of the greatest Pokémon experts on the whole entire planet!"

Mew: "We knew Professor Oak was smart, but I didn't know he was famous, too,"

(Mew says.)

Tracey: "Okay! You just got yourself a new traveling buddy!"

(Tracey says, excited.)

(The group becomes baffled and surprised.)

Tracey: "See, if I stick with you, I'll finally get the chance to meet my hero, Professor Oak."

(Tracey says.)

(But Misty says.)

Misty: "Hey! You just can't invite yourself!"

(Mew giggles and says.)

Mew: "I don't mind at all, Tracey. You can come with us."

Tomo: "Yeah. The more the merrier,"

(Tomo replies.)

(Just then, Nurse Joy comes in.)

Nurse Joy: "Good news, Lapras is awake and doing fine."

(Mew and the others smile to hear the news.)

(The group looks outside to see Lapras is swimming a little in the pool.)

(Lapras seems to be alright, but still a little nervous.)

(It turns its head to see the human that defends it, then has it's sight set on Mew.)

(With that, Lapras begins to call out to her, making Mew confused.)

Misty: "What's Lapras doing?"

(Misty wonders.)

Mew: "Lapras is calling out to me."

(Mew says.)

(Mew then hurries outside and walks to the edge of the pool.)

(Lapras is happy to see Mew that swims up to her without any trouble.)

(Mew pets Lapras and says.)

Mew: "You're doing a lot better now."

(Lapras calls out.)

Lapras: "Laaaaap." (I am.)

(Then it becomes sad.)

Mew: "Are you okay, Lapras?"

(Mew asks.)

(Lapras lowers his head and begins to shed tears in sadness.)

(Misty and the others gently walk towards it and notice it crying.)

(Lapras sadly calls out.)

Lapras: "Laaapras. Laaaprass." (Mommy. Mommy)

(Misty asks.)

Misty: "What's wrong? Why is Lapras sad?"

Mew: "Poor little baby. He wants his mommy,"

(Mew says.)

(Then turns to Lapras and asks.)

Mew: "You got separated from your mom during the storm, huh."

(Lapras nods his head and says.)

Lapras: "Lapras Laaap, Lapras Laap Lapras Lapras Laaap." (Yes, my mother was trying to call out to me, but I was too far away. And the waves were too rough for me to reach her and my pod.)

(Mew turns to her friends.)

Mew: "This little Lapras was separated from his pod and his mother during that storm Tacey just told us about."

Tomo: "Oh,"

(Tomo replies.)

Mew: "He was probably lost until he washed up on the beach, where those three found it."

(Mew says.)

Misty: "That sounds about right."

(Misty says.)

(Mew then turns to Lapras.)

Mew: "Don't worry Lapras, my friends and I have a solution."

(Lapras perks up.)

Lapras: "Laap?" (Really?)

Mew: "Yeah. I've decided to compete in the Orange Island League and we'll be traveling all over the Orange Island. Maybe while we're traveling, we can find your pod and your mother. Since they travel and migrate, we might be able to meet up with them."

(Mew says.)

(This makes Lapras have hope and begins to smile.)

(Then Mew asks.)

Mew: "What do you say, Lapras? You wanna go on the journey with us?"

(Lapras thinks about it a bit and soon answers with a nod.)

Mew: "Glad to have you on board. All we have to do is get you into that truck and get you to the ocean. Then we can begin traveling around Orange Island."

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly, something fires into the water and creates a blanket of smoke.)

(Mew gasps.)

Mew: "Lapras!"

Misty: "Oh no!"

(Misty says.)

Tracey: "What's happening?!"

(Tracey asks.)

Tomo: "Trouble. That's what,"

(Tomo says.)

(Soon, two familiar laughter and figures appear through the smoke.)

Jessie: Prepare for trouble!

James (stifles): Make it, double!

(Mew grits her teeth and says.)

Mew: "Not them again.

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation.

James: To unite all peoples within our nation.

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love.

James: To extend our reach to the stars above.

(Soon, the smoke clears.)

Jessie: Jessie.

James: James.

Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light.

James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight.

(Soon, it's revealed that Team Rocket has baby Lapras.)

(tied on the truck and standing on its shell.)

(Then Meowth jumps on it.)

Meowth: Meowth. That's right.

(Lapras is feeling scared about this.)

Meowth: "Wait till the boss gets a load of this little baby!"

(Meowth says, excited.)

(Seeing the talking Meowth has Tracey excited.)

Tracey: "Wow! I can't believe it! A Meowth that can speak human language!"

(He then dashes to Meowth with a microphone and a recorder.)

(Tracey says.)

Tracey: "Testing, one, two, three. Meowth, can you please say something for the Pokemon Watcher Archive?"

(The points to Meowth with the microphone.)

Meowth: "What should I say?"

(Meowth asks.)

Tracey: "Maybe you can answer a few questions."

(Tracey says, excited.)

Meowth: "Well, I usually don't do interviews unless they've been cleared through my talent agent."

(Meowth says, embarrassed.)

(Then Jessie steps on Meowth.)

Jessie: "Keep it up and you're going to need a travel agent."

James: "Can't you see we're busy?"

(James says, annoyed.)

(Then Jessie asks.)

Jessie: "Who are you, anyway?"

Tracey: "Oh, sorry. My name's Tracey. I'm a Pokemon Watcher."

(Tracey answers.)

Jessie: "Okay, if you're a Pokémon Watcher, then you won't mind stepping aside and watching us steal this Lapras."

(Jessie says, still stepping on Meowth.)

(Tomo angrily says.)

Tomo: "You're not gonna steal anything!"

Mew: "Let go of Lapras or else!"

(Mew demands.)

(Just then, James throws his Pokeball.)

James: "Weezing, Smog attack!"

(Weezing comes out of its Pokeball and uses its attack to blind everyone.)

(allowing Team Rocket to escape with Lapras.)

(Mew rushes over and angrily says.)

Mew: "Those crooks!"

Misty: "Guys, we can't let them get away!"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "We can't catch them on foot,"

(Mew says.)

Tracey: "I know another way we can track them!"

(Tracey says, holding out a Pokeball.)

(Tracey then throws it and calls out.)

Tracey: "Venonat, I choose you!"

(Soon Venonat is out of the Pokeball.)

(Tracey turns to Venonat and says.)

Tracey: "Use your Radar Eye to track that truck!"

(Venonat uses its rader to pinpoint their location.)

(Venonat jumps up and down and says.)

Venonat: "Venonat! Venonat! (I've got them! Follow me!)

(Then runs off.)

Mew: "Venonat got their location,"

(Mew says.)

Tracey: "Let's go!"

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "Right!"

(Tomo says.)

(Meanwhile, up ahead, Team Rocket is riding down the road with Lapras tied up in the back.)

Meowth: "The boss ain't expecting this!"

(Meowth says.)

James: "Just wait till we drop this Lapras in his lap!"

(James says.)

(Soon, Lapras begins to cry out for help.)

(Jessie turns it's head around and shouts.)

Jessie: "Hey! Keep it down, you big baby!"

(Suddenly, they hear Mew's voice.)

Mew: "There they go! Come on!"

(Jessie looks to see Mew and the others are in pursuit on bicycles.)

Jessie: "The twerp!"

(Jessie says annoyed.)

(Lapras lets out a cry in relief.)

(to see Mew and the others are trying to save him.)

(Jessie turns to James.)

Jessie: "Step on it, James, and fast!"

James: "Hang on!"

(James says, and speeds the truck.)

(Soon, the tuck begins to pick up speed.)

James: "If I could just get close enough!"

(Mew pedals faster and is catching up to Lapras.)

Mew: "Don't worry, Lapras! I'll save you!"

(Mew says.)

(Lapras continues to cry out for Mew.)

(Seeing how close she is.)

(Mew gets on the handlebars and jumps from them to get to Lapras.)

(Pikachu and Eevee tag along because they're hanging on to Mew.)

(Mew turns to Lapras with a smile.)

Mew: "It's okay, Lapras. We're gonna get out of this, somehow."

Pikachu: "Pika Pika!" (You can count on it!)

(Pikachu says.)

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee!" (We'll save you!")

(Eevee says.)

(Lapras feels a little better as Mew climbs up Lapras's back and onto the roof of the truck.)

(That catches Team Rocket's attention.)

(Soon, Mew climbs in through the window.)

Mew: "Stop this truck!"

(The truck soon begins to go down hill as the others stop to rest from exhaustion.)

(In the truck, Mew, Eevee, and Pikachu are fighting against Team Rocket.)

(Soon, Pikachu gives them an electric shock.)

(Feeling dazed, James accidently leans his elbow on a button, disconnecting the trailer from the truck.)

(Soon, the trailer begins to go faster and bumps into the truck a few times.)

(Mew and the others escape through the passenger door.)

(Jessie turns to see Mew, Pikachu and Eevee, hanging onto Lapras' leg.)

Mew: "Hang on, Lapras! I think we're unhooked!"

(Mew says.)

(In the truck, James and Meowth are panicking.)

(Jessie soon looks ahead and begins to panic.)

(to see they are heading to a ramp at the edge of the cliff.)

(Jessie screams.)

Jessie: "Stop! Stop! Stop!"

(James slams on the break and the truck and trailer are coming to a stop.)

(But then, the truck is pushed off and is sent flying.)

Team Rocket: "Team Rocket's flipping out again!"

(Team Rocket screams.)

(Mew and the Pokemon are relieved to see this over.)

(But suddenly the trailer begins to go backwards with Mew and the others on it.)

(Soon Pikachu calls out.)

Pikachu: "Pika Pika!" (We're heading for a cliff!)

(Mew quickly climbs to the side and quickly pulls as hard as she can.)

(so the trailer is able to make a sharp turn.)

(Just then, Eevee cries out.)

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee!" (There's another cliff ahead!)

(Mew and the others turn to see the other cliff.)

(Mew tries to pull on the trailer, but isn't sure if she's gonna make it.)

(Soon, Tracey and the others from the far are trying to find Mew and the Pokemon.)

(Using his binoculars, Tracey has found them.)

Tracey: "Oh no! They're heading straight for a cliff!"

Mew: "We gotta make it turn!"

(Mew shouts, struggling to pull.)

(Pikachu and Eevee try to help make the trailer turn, but to no avail.)

Mew: "Come on!"

(Mew says, struggling.)

(Just then, the trailer flies off the cliff, throwing Mew and the Pokemon off.)

(Soon, Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee are able to grab on to Lapras.)

Mew: "We're gonna be okay! We'll just stick together, right, Lapras?"

(Mew says.)

(Lapras lets out a cry and is actually glad.)

(Mew looks down and says.)

Mew: "Hang on guys, looks like we're going for a swim!"

(Soon, they all dive into the water.)

(Later on, Tracey, Misty, and Tomo search for Mew.)

(Tracey calls out.)

Tracey: "Mew!"

Misty: "Where are you?!"

(Misty calls out.)

(Tomo calls out.)

Tomo: "Mew!"

(Tracey turns to Venonat.)

Tracey: "You're sure they're around here, you two?"

Venonat: "Venonat. Venonat. Venonat! Venonat!" (Positive. They're around here. There they are! On the water!)

(Venonat says.)

(Tomo translated.)

Tomo: "Venonat said that it's saw them on the water."

(Tracey turns to see something coming to them.)

Tracey: "What's that?"

Venonat: "Venonat! Venonat! Venonat! Venonat! Venonat! Venonat!" (It's Lapras! And Mew! And Pikachu! And Eevee!)

(Indeed, Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee are riding on Lapras to shore.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Hey!"

Eevee: "Eevee!" (Hi guys!)

(Eevee says.)

Pikachu: "Pikachu!" (Ahoy!)

(Pikachu says.)

Misty: "It's Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee! They made it okay!"

(Misty says, relieved.)

Tracey: "Lapras, too! Way to go!"

(Tracey says.)

(Mew then hugs Lapras and Lapras nuzzles her.)

(The next day, Pikachu, Eevee, Togepi, Pichu, Meloetta, and Skwovet are sliding down.)

(Lapras like a slide, as Mew and the others talk to Nurse Joy.)

Nurse Joy: "So, Mew, it looks like Lapras has decided it wants to go with you."

(Nurse Joy replies.)

Mew: "That's right, Nurse Joy. We're gonna travel around the Orange Islands and try to find its friends and family."

(Mew says.)

Nurse Joy: "I'm sure you'll treat it very well."

(Nurse Joy says.)

Mew: "Don't worry, we will."

(Mew says.)

(Then Tracey says.)

Tracey: "And I'll be with them to help out, too!"

(Soon, the group climbs on Lapras and begins to sail.)

(off to start their adventures on the Orange Islands.)

(Nurse Joy waves goodbye.)

Nurse Joy: "Goodbye! Take care now!"

(Mew and her friends ride on Lapras to begin their journey on the Orange Island.)

(and battle the Orange Crew to qualify for the Orange League Competition.)

(They'll have some adventures and excitement.)

(and of course, they'll need to make sure not to lose the GS ball.)

(What's more, they also have a new traveling companion with them.)
