Chapter 24: Wherefore Art, Thou, Pokemon?

(After meeting and having fresh new lessons from Lorelei.)

(Mew and her friends find themselve passing a quaint little village as they head to the next Orange League gym.)

(They soon walk into town to see a few people on the streat.)

Tracey: "This sure is a quiet little place."

(Tracey says.)

Mew: "Yeah. Kinda looks like it's from a history book."

(Mew says.)

Misty: "You're right. Just like merry old England."

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. I wonder if they had Pokémon Centers back in olden times."

(Tomo replies.)

(Suddenly, they hear someone calling out.)

???: "Maria!"

(The group stops to see a little girl running in their direction.)

(The little girl continues to call out.)

little girl: "Maria! Maria! Oh, where are you?"

(The little girl has blonde hair in pigtails tied by green ribbons.)

(She is wearing a light pink blouse with pink flowers on it.)

(and a hot pink dress, wearing white knee high socks and pink mary janes.)

(Seeing Mew and her friends, the little girl asks.)

little girl: "Oh. Excuse me, but maybe you can help me. Have you seen my little Maria?"

Mew: "Who's little Maria?"

(Mew asks.)

(Hearing that the girl realizes.)

the girl: "Sorry. You're strangers here. Maria's my Pokémon. A Nidoran."

Misty: "Nidoran?"

(Misty says, confused.)

The girl: "Yes,"

(The girl says.)

(Then begins to explain Maria's description.)

The girl: "My Maria's this big and she's a really pretty blue color. And she's got long ears and bright eyes and the cutest little buck teeth. She's smart and strong and... Oh, Maria is the best Nidoran in the whole wide world!"

Mew: "Blue color, long ears, and buck teeth. That would mean your Nidoran is a girl."

(Mew says, and brings out her Pokedex.)

(Then shows her the picture of the Nidoran as description.)

(Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Nidoran female, the Poison Pin Pokémon. A Poison Type. Its Poison Sting is quite powerful for its size, but its horn is smaller than the male's.

The girl: "That's right, my Nidoran is a girl."

(The girl says.)

Mew: "Do you know why she's missing?"

(Mew asks.)

The girl: "Oh, Maria's been running away a lot lately and I just hope I can find her."

(The girl says.)

Mew: "Don't you worry. With us helping, you'll find you're Nidoran."

(Mew says.)

(Then asks.)

Mew: "Is there anything else you can tell me about Maria? Something to separate her from another female Nidoran."

The girl: "Oh right, she has a bright orange ribbon around her neck."

(The girl says.)

Mew: "Got it. We'll see if we can find her."

(Mew says.)

(Soon enough, the group begins searching all over the park for Maria the Nidoran.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Maria! Where are you?!"

Togepi: "Toge togeprrrriii," (Maria!)

(Togepi calls out.)

(Pichu calls out.)

Pichu: "Pichu!" (Maria!)

Misty: "Maria!"

(Misty calls out.)

(Pikachu calls out.)

Pikachu: "Pikachu!" (Maria!)

Eevee: "Eevee!" (Maria!)

(Eevee calls out!)

(Mew looks in the grass.)

Mew: "Maria!"

(The little girl calls out.)

The girl: "Maria!"

Tracey: "Where are you, Maria?! Come on out!"

(Tracey calls out.)

Tomo: "Maria!"

(Tomo calls out.)

Meloetta: "Loetta!" (Maria!)

(Meloetta calls out.)

Skwovet: "Skwovet Skwovet?!" (Maria, where are you?!)

(Skwovet calls out.)

(Misty calls out.)

Misty: "Maria! Maria!"

(Pikachu and Eevee soon spot fruits, and decide to grab themselves some.)

(Pikachu and Eevee continue to call out to Maria as they secretly sneak towards the fruit tree.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Hey! Maria!"

(Suddenly, they hear someone calling out.)

???: "Tony!

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Maria!"

(Then the voice appears again.)

???: "Tony!"

Mew: "Tony?"

(Mew says confused.)

(Mew soon turns her head to see a young boy with brown hair.)

(wearing an ivory collared shirt, blue vest, black pants, white socks, and dark shoes.)

(The boy calls out.)

The boy: "Tony! Where are you, boy?!"

(Confused, Mew wonders.)

Mew: "Who's that boy?

Misty: "I don't know,"

(Misty replies.)

(Just then, the boy approaches Mew and Misty.)

the boy: "You haven't seen my Pokémon, Tony, have you?"

Mew: "What is it?"

(Mew asks.)

(Soon, the boy realizes.)

the boy: "Oh, you're. You're not from here. My Tony is a Nidoran."

(The group becomes surprised to hear what Pokemon the boy is trying to find.)

(even Pikachu and Eevee stop eating their fruits.)

Mew: "Did you say that this Tony of yours is a…"

(Mew asks.)

Misty: "Nidoran?"

(Misty adds.)

The boy: "Yeah, a Nidoran,"

(The boy answers.)

(Then begins to describe him.)

The boy: "I'd say he's about this big, maybe a little bigger, kinda purply-pinkish, and he's got big ears, little buck teeth, and a horn coming out of his head. If you saw Tony, you'd understand why he's the best Pokémon in the whole world! But lately, he's been running away a lot."

Misty: "Anything else?"

(Misty asks.)

The boy: "Yes. He's also wearing a blue bow type,"

(The boy adds.)

Mew: "Purply-pinkish, big ears, buck teeth, and horns. So a male Nidoran then."

(Mew says.)

(She then brings out her pokedex, and shows it to the male Nidoran.)

(Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Nidoran male, the Poison Pin Pokémon. A Poison Type. Its horn is larger than the female's and its Horn Attack is quite powerful.

(Surprised, Mew says.)

Mew: "Wow. Two Nidoran in one day."

The boy: "What do you mean?"

(The boy asks.)

(Suddenly, Tracey calls out.)

Tracey: "Guys!"

(The group turns to see Tracey, Tomo, Meloetta, and Skwovet, and the girl running toward them.)

Tracey: "Did you find Maria?!"

(Tracey calls out.)

Mew: "Not yet! No!"

(Mew answers.)

(Suddenly the boy pushes Mew aside.)

the boy: "Hey! Kidnapper!"

the girl: "Kidnapper?!"

(the girl says, shocked.)

(Just then, the two approach each other.)

(The boy demands.)

???: "Why don't you admit that you stole Tony because you're jealous, Emily?!"

(But the girl, Emily says.)

Emily: "Me jealous? You're the one who's jealous of my Maria, Ralph!

Ralph: "Why would I be jealous of your dinky Nidoran?"

(the boy, Ralph questions angrily.)

Emily: "Dinky?! I wouldn't talk if I were you!"

(Emily angrily replies.)

Ralph: "Anybody who knows anything about Pokémon can see that I have the best Nidoran!"

(Ralph argues back.)

Emily: "Yeah, that must be why you stole Maria so you could finally have the best one!"

(Emily angrily says.)

(Ralph angrily shouts.)

Ralph: "You're a liar!"

Emily: "So are you!"

(Emily shouts back.)

(Soon, the two pick up the stick and begin to have a stick fight.)

Tracey: "Hey! What's the problem?!"

(Tracey calls out.)

Tomo: "What are you fighting for?"

(Tomo asks.)

Misty: "It sounds like they're fighting over their Pokémon."

(Misty says.)

(Mew steps forward and pushes them aside.)

Mew: "Alright, break it up! Break it up!"

(Just then, Marill approaches them.)

Marill: "Marill Marill." (Hey Tracey, I found them.)

(Tracey turns to Marill and asks.)

Tracey: "Hey. You find something already, Marill?"

(Marill points to the direction.)

(Mew says.)

Mew: "Marill says they're that way."

(That makes Emily and Ralphi relieved.)

Emily and Ralphi: "It's my Maria/Tony!"

(The two then dash off and tramples Tracey.)

(Tracey weakly says.)

Tracey: "That's nice."

(Meanwhile, Emily and Ralph dash to find their Pokemon.)

(Ralph shouts.)

Ralph: "Stay out of my way!"

(Emily shouts back.)

Emily: "You stay out of MY way!"

(When Emily and Ralph arrive, they see both Maria and Tony are very close to one another.)

(Ralph calls out.)

Ralph: "Tony!"

Emily: "Maria!"

(Emily calls out.)

(Both kids arrive and become very confused about what they see.)

(That's when Mew and the others show up.)

Tomo: "Looks like your Nidoran are okay,"

(Tomo says.)

(Tracey brings out his sketchbook.)

Tracey: "Boy, they sure are friendly. I'm gonna make some sketches."

(Tony then picks a rose and passes it to Maria.)

Misty: "Pretty obvious what's going on here, eh Tracey?"

(Misty says.)

(Then Misty turns to Mew.)

Misty: "What do you think?"

Mew: "Yeah. It's as plain as day."

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "It is?"

(Tomo says, confused.)

Misty: "It's as plain as day, Tomo. Those two are in love."

(Misty says.)

Tracey: "Sure looks like love to me."

(Tracey says.)

Mew: "Yeah. It's so sweet,"

(Mew says.)

(Both Pokemon finish eating the rose, and they both insist that one of them takes the last petal.)

(Both trainers seem to be happy for their Pokemon.)

(but they don't seem to be happy with each other.)

(And so, the two separate the two and walk away in opposite directions.)

(Emily says to Maria.)

Emily: "What can you possibly see in that loser's Nidoran?"

Ralph: "I'm glad I got you away from her nasty Nidoran in time."

(Ralph says to Tony.)

(Emily says to Maria.)

Emily: "You're much too good for HIS Nidoran."

Ralph: "I don't want you to ever see her Nidoran again."

(Ralph says to Tony.)

(However, both Nidorans are crying out to each other, and their trainers ignore their wishes.)

Tomo: "I don't think they like each other."

(Tomo replies.)

(Mew look at the two and is showing a disapproving expression on her face.)

(Sometime later, Mew and her friends are at a sandwich store.)

(to have some lunch, and decide to ask about Ralph and Emily.)

The chef: "Oh, we have lots of Pokémon trainers here. They're all friends."

(The chef says.)

Misty: "Well, we just met two of them and they sure don't seem like friends to us."

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Their names are Ralph and Emily,"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "And even though Ralph and Emily don't like each other. Maria and Tony are in love with each other."

(Mew says.)

The chef: "Ah, I know those two,"

(The chef says.)

Tracey: "You know them?"

(Tracey asks.)

The chef: "Everybody in town knows about those two."

(The chef says.)

Misty: "Not us until they started fighting,"

(Misty says.)

The chef: "Ralph and Emily have known each other since they were little babies. Nice kids."

(The chef explains.)

(And so the chef explains.)

The chef: "They've been competing ever since they were old enough to walk, and catch Pokémon, of some strange reason, they always ended up catching the same Pokémon. We have lots of Pokémon contests here in town, and it always seems to come down to a face off between Ralph and Emily. This year, they tied for first place. Ralph and Emily weren't too happy, but their Nidoran sure were. It was love at first sight for those two."

(He sighs and says.)

The chef: "Their Nidoran are meant for each other. But because Ralph and Emily are so stubborn, I'm afraid those Pokémon won't ever be together. It's a real shame."

Tracey: "Wow,"

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "It's too bad those two can't get along."

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "I know what you mean. And what they did to Maria and Tony. It's not easy to forgive."

(Mew says, and remembers how Ralph and Emily pull them apart without the Pokemons' consent.)

(Later on, Mew and her friends are walking down the road.)

Misty: "I wish there was something we could do for those poor Nidoran."

(Misty sadly says.)

Tracey: "Yeah. It's a real shame."

(Tracey says.)

(Soon, the group turns to see Tony running in front of them.)

Mew: "That's Tony,"

(Mew says.)

Tracey: "You're right. It is Tony,"

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "Where's he going?"

(Tomo wonders.)

(Tony then runs into an alley and the group follows.)

(Soon the group arrives at a house.)

(Suddenly, Tony lets out a lot of grunt, and Maria comes out on the balcony and responds back.)

(Mew and the others are approaching the bush.)

Tomo: "What are they doing?"

(Tomo asks.)

Misty: "Just listen to them Tomo, they're talking sweet talk!"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "How do you know that?"

(Tomo asks.)

Misty: "I can just tell, because…"

(Misty says, and adds with starry-eyes.)

Misty: "I'm a romantic."

Misty: "I have a natural understanding of the ways of the heart."

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "How come?"

(Tomo asks.)

Misty: "You're too young enough to understand."

(Misty says.)

(Tomo becomes confused.)

(Then Mew whispers to Tomo.)

Mew: "I think this will make more sense when you're older."

(Tomo nods his head in reply.)

(Misty turns to Mew.)

Misty: "You know what they're saying?"

Mew: "Yes. They're talking to each other, and tell each other how they love each other, and wish they can be together."

(Mew says.)

(She sadly sighs.)

Mew: "But it's understandable why they can't."

(Tony continues to call out to Maria, until he notices Emily coming out with a bucket of water.)

Emily: "This oughta cool you off, Romeo!"

(Emily angrily says and dumps water all over Tony.)

(Everyone is in shock to see this, and Emily takes Maria inside.)

(Ralph shows up to see what has happened.)

Ralph: "Tony! Tony, what happened? Oh, you're soaking wet."

(Then turns to the house and suspects what's happened.)

Ralph: "Who does she think she is?!"

(Ralph then picks up Tony and takes him home.)

Ralph: "Don't bother with them, you should be home, here, with me."

(Soon, Ralph takes Tony inside the house, and to Mew and the other's surprise.)

Mew: "I can't believe it! They're next-door neighbors!"

(Mew says, shocked.)

Tracey: "I guess that proves you can live close together and still be worlds apart,"

(Tracey says.)

(Soon, Misty has enough.)

Misty: "This is absolutely crazy! Those two Nidoran belong together and I'm gonna do something about it!"

Mew: "I couldn't agree more. We can't just stand here and let this happen."

(Mew says, sounding upset.)

Tracey: "Wow Mew, you sound very upset."

(Tracey says.)

(Mew sighs and says.)

Mew: "Sorry about that. I'm just mad at Ralph and Emily. They act like they don't care for their Pokemon at all. Tony and Maria love each other and they've been trying to keep them apart. They should make their problems with each other the Pokemons' problem."

Tomo: "I have to agree with Mew. Trainers should make Pokemon happy."

(Tomo says.)

Tracey: "How are we going to do that?"

(Tracey asks.)

(Mew turns to Misty.)

Mew: "What do you think?"

Misty: "I'll think of something."

(Misty says.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket are watching nearby.)

(Jessie asks.)

Jessie: "Hear that?"

Meowth: "I heard it,"

(Meowth says.)

James: "Me too,"

(James replies.)

Jessie: "A male and female Nidoran!"

(Jessie says.)

(And James says.)

James: "A perfectly matched set!"

Meowth: "Like a birthday present! Two nice, neatly wrapped Nidoran,"

(Meowth says.)

(Then James says.)

James: "Or like two stocking stuffers from Santa Claus himself!"

Meowth: "Or like a pair of first prizes in da Pokémon Poach-off!"

(Meowth says.)

(Jessie mutters.)

Jessie: "And I got the booby prize."

(That night at the Pokemon center, Misty is writing something on a piece of paper.)

(Tomo walks over and asks.)

Tomo: "Whatcha doing?"

Misty: "Writing identical letters to Emily and Ralph. (chuckles) It's the perfect way to get those two together."

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "You think it'll work?"

(Tomo asks.)

Misty: "Of course it'll work! Ralph and Emily are both gonna get a letter. A love letter from each other."

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Are you sure it's a good idea?"

(Mew asks.)

Misty: "Those two are gonna wind up thanking me for this. They're not mature enough to admit it, but they really like each other."

(Misty says.)

(Then turns to Mew.)

Misty: "Besides, it's almost the same as you and Gary."

Mew: "Uh me and Gary?"

(Mew says, surprised and her cheeks are blushing.)

(Then turns her head away.)

Mew: "I uh, don't know what you mean. I uh… Well, I guess… but I'm not… I'm not sure…"

Tracey: "Who's Gary?"

(Tracey asks.)

Tomo: "He's a friend of hers from Pallet Town and Professor Oak's grandson. Right now, Gary's on another journey somewhere else."

(Tomo says.)

Tracey: "I see,"

(Tracey says.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket are working on a plan of their own close to Ralph and Emily's house.)

(Jessie says.)

Jessie: "We're close to having our own pair of Pokémon. All we have to do is convince those Nidoran that the only way they can be together is if they come away with us. The Pokémon will learn a valuable lesson. A painful one. The heart always leads one to heartache."

(James and Meowth look at each other.)

(James then turns to Jessie.)

James: "Sounds like, you've had some heartaches yourself."

(Jessie then explains her sad story.)

Jessie: "I've had my share. Ever since I was a little girl I've dreamed of finding love, but all I ever got was heartache. I can't find anyone to love me, just because I'm mean and nasty and evil!"

(Then Jessie's face falls to the ground in tears.)

James: "All in loves unfair!"

(James says, and comforts Jessie.)

Meowth: "Now I understand why she's such a nut-job!"

(Meowth says.)

(Jessie glares at the boys and shouts.)

Jessie: "How dare you!"

(And then kicks them both.)

Jessie: "It's time to put our plan into action!"

Meowth: "Aye-aye, ma'am,"

(Meowth says, feeling dizzy.)

(In Emily' bed room, she and Maria are sleeping peacefully.)

(Maria suddenly wakes up tapping to see Meowth.)

(Curious, Maria approaches the window to meet Meowth.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Hey. How'd ya like ta be wit your boyfriend? An' I'm talking foreva here."

(Next door, Ralph is sleeping in his bed, but Tony isn't getting any sleep and is trying to get out of the house.)

(Then gets surprised to see Meowth appear in front of them.)

(Meowth explains.)

Meowth: "Hey, buddy, how'd ya like to be with your little princess? I got connections. I can arrange it. An' I'm gonna tell ya exactly whatcha gotta do."

(And chuckles.)

(Meanwhile, Jessie and James are waiting for Meowth with excitement.)

Jessie: "You'll tell them that they'll be going on a little honeymoon, but instead, you'll take them straight to the boss."

(Jessie says with a grin.)

James: "Pretty dirty trick,"

(James says.)

Jessie: "What good's a trick if it's not dirty?"

(Jessie replies.)

(Then Meowth shows up, looking a bit disappointed.)

(Jessie turns to Meowth and asks.)

Jessie: "Well, everything go according to plan, Meowth?"

(Meowth then explains.)

Meowth: "Dey ain't gonna do it, Jess. Dey both said dat even dough dey're in love, dey could neva disobey deir masters an' runaway from dem."

Jessie: "I can't believe those pipsqueaks are gonna give up this chance to be stolen!"

(Jessie shouts in anger.)

James: "She sure has a unique way of looking at things."

(James replies.)

(Then Jessie says.)

Jessie: "We'll just have to go with Nidoran plan number two!"

James: "Number two?"

(James asks.)

Meowth: "But what's dat?"

(Meowth asks.)

Jessie: "Nidoran-napping,"

(Jessie answers.)

James: "I was afraid of that,"

(James says.)

(Jessie chuckles.)

Jessie: "I made that up myself."

(The next day, Mew and the others are hiding in the rose garden in the park.)

(Misty chuckles with a smile.)

Misty: "I'm sure my love letters will get them here."

Tomo: "I'm not sure,"

(Tomo replies.)

Misty: "I didn't leave a thing to chance. I sent her a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and I sent him a remote control model airplane. And as far as those two know, they sent the gifts to each other."

(Misty says.)

(Just then Tracey spots Ralph.)

Tracey: "He's here!"

(Soon, Ralph walks into the park with a box in one arm and Tony's in his carrier in the other.)

(Mew turns and says.)

Mew: "Here she comes."

(They also see Emily enter the garden with the bouquet of flowers and Maria in her carrier.)

(They both approach each other and asks.)

Ralph and Emily: "Why did you send me that stupid letter?!"

(The group becomes shocked, especially Misty, seeing the plan hasn't worked.)

(Then the two demands.)

Ralph and Emily: "And why did you send me such a stupid present?!"

Emily: "Is this your idea of a joke?!"

(Emily angrily asks.)

(Ralph feels the same.)

Ralph: "That's what I'd like to know!"

Emily: "Well, thanks a lot for sending me these flowers, Ralph! You know I'm allergic!"

(Emily angrily says and throws the bouquet at Ralph.)

Ralph: "I guess you think it's funny that I throw up in airplanes!"

(Ralph angrily says.)

Tracey: "At least they're talking to each other."

(Tracey says.)

(Emily shouts in anger.)

Emily: "I can't stand you, Ralph!"

Ralph: "I can't stand you, either!"

(Ralph feels the same.)

(Emily and Ralph then pick up the sticks and about to charge at each other.)

(but then two hands grab the stick.)

(Everyone becomes surprised to see Mew is the one who grabs hold of the sticks.)

Mew: "You two may can't stand each other, but I'm starting to stand you two,"

(Mew angrily says.)

(Then pulls the sticks away and shouts.)

Mew: "Enough all ready!"

(and tosses them aside.)

(Then Mew glares at the two.)

Mew: "Why are you two fighting anyway? I bet you both don't even know!"

(Ralph angrily says.)

Ralph: "Well Emily is the one who started it!"

Emily: "No, it's Ralph who started it!"

(Emily angrily says.)

(But Mew shouts at the back.)

Mew: "I don't care, start it! I'll know that your constant arguing, and stubbornness is not fair to Maria and Tony! Both your Nidorans loved each other and want to be together, and you should let your stupid little competition and stubborness tear them apart! If you really are trainers, then start thinking about your Pokemons' feelings and not your own!"

(Ralph and Maria become startled to hear Mew shouting at them, and see her taking deep breaths.)

Tracey: "Boy, was she mad,"

(Tracey comments.)

Misty: "You should have seen when she got mad at a trainer named Damian,"

(Misty says.)

(Suddenly, the group begins to hear the sound of church bells.)

(and turn their heads to see a newlywed couple walking towards them.)

Misty: "A bride and groom! Well, congratulations!"

(Misty happily says.)

(Then everyone congratulates them.)

(Suddenly, a familiar voice says from the bride.)

???: "On this our sunny wedding day."

(The same with the groom.)

???: "There's a funny trick we'd like to play."

???: "Our matrimony…"

(The bride adds.)

(Then they both say.)

Both: "...is a total phony!"

(and take Tony and Maria by the carriers.)

???: "Now we'll take these Pokémon away!"

(Ralph becomes shocked.)

Ralph: "Tony!"

Emily: "They got Maria!"

(Emily cries out.)

(Mew soon realizes.)

Mew: "You're no bride and groom!"

(And the bride and groom begin the motto.)

Jessie: Prepare yourself for trouble, kid!

(Soon, a platform in the form of a wedding cake rises from the ground, shocking the kids.)

James: And make it doubler than you ever did!

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!

James: To unite all people within our nation!

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James: To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

Jessie: Team Rocket, Blast off at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now or prepare to fight!

Meowth: Hurry up an' cut da cake!

(Just then, the cake platform cuts in half and reveals Team Rocket's balloon.)

(Meowth laughs as the balloon rises, allowing Jessie and James to climb aboard.)

(and gives them a chance to escape with Maria and Tony.)

(On the bottom of the balloons are empty cans hanging on the strings.)

(Ralph cries out.)

Ralph: "Hey, wait!"

Emily: "Please, come back!"

(Emily calls out.)

(In the balloon, James says.)

James: "Time to say ta-ta, toddlers!"

Jessie: "Your Nidoran need a little time alone,"

(Jessie says.)

Meowth: "The love birds are flying the coop!"

(Meowth adds.)

(Team Rocket calls out.)

Team Rocket: "Bye-bye!"

(Soon, Team Rocket are flying away with Tony and Maria.)

Mew: "We gotta follow them!"

(Mew says.)

(Mew, Tracey and Tomo go on ahead.)

(while Misty stays behind with Ralph and Emily.)

(Emily sadly says.)

Emily: "Poor Maria."

Ralph: "And my Tony,"

(Ralph says.)

(Misty turns and scolds the two.)

Misty: "Mew's right about one thing. Your fighting has caused nothing but problems with Maria and Tony, and now this. If you hadn't been fighting, then this never would have happened! You only have yourselves to blame!"

(Hearing that, they end up realizing that Mew and Misty are right.)

(Their fighting caused all this.)

(Then Misty says.)

Misty: "I just hope you learned your lesson."

(Misty prepares to join the others.)

(but notices them still standing in the park and looking down.)

Misty: "Don't just stand there!"

(Misty calls out.)

(Mew then points to the ground.)

Mew: "Look there."

(Misty looks down to notice a trail.)

Misty: "Those cans!"

Tracey: "They must've dropped from Team Rocket's balloon!"

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "And there's a tail of them."

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "Great! They'll lead us right to them!"

(Mew says.)

(Meanwhile, somewhere in the woods.)

(Jessie and James are trying to dress Maria and Tony in outfits.)

(Jessie shouts.)

Jessie: "Stop wiggling around!"

(Then James says.)

James: "Would you hold still?!"

Jessie: "Take it easy, we're just giving you a makeover!"

(Jessie says.)

James: "You want to look your best for the boss, don't you?"

(James adds.)

(Suddenly a can drops, and the three turn to see Mew and the others right behind them.)

Mew: "Bet you didn't expect to see us."

(Mew says.)

Misty: "Now give back their Nidoran this second!"

(Misty demands.)

Meowth: "It's da twerps!"

(Meowth exclaims in shock.)

(Jessie asks.)

Jessie: "How'd you find us?"

(Tracey then shows him a bag of cans from the balloon.)

Tracey: "You wouldn't have been so easy to follow if you had cleaned up your act."

Meowth: "We must've dropped the cans!"

(Meowth panics.)

(James whispers to Jessie.)

James: "I guess I should have tied them a little tighter, huh?"

Jessie: "I guess I should have dropped you off the balloon instead, huh?"

(Jessie angrily says.)

(Emily calls out.)

Emily: "Maria!"

(Ralph does the same.)

Ralph: "Tony!"

(Both Maria and Tony quickly get out of the clothes and run to their trainers.)

(But Jessie isn't having it.)

Jessie: "Not so fast! Arbok, attack!"

(and calls out Arbok.)

(Arbok comes out of the Pokeball and chases the two.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Hey! Look out!"

(Ralph calls out.)

Ralph: "Tony!"

(Emily does the same.)

Emily: "Maria!"

(Then they call out together.)

Emily and Ralph: "Tackle attack!"

(Both Maria and Tony turn around and strike a Tackle on Arbok together, knocking it out.)

(James then brings out his Pokeball.)

James: "I'll stop them! Victreebel, go!"

(and throws the Pokeball.)

(Victreebel comes out and chomps on Jessie's head instead.)

(Jessie screams.)

Jessie: "James! Will you get this thing off of me!"

(Then both Tony and Maria charge.)

(Emily calls out.)

Emily: "Maria, use your Scratch attack!"

Ralph: "Tony, Tackle!"

(Ralph calls out.)

(Maria gives Victreebel a Scratch Attack, but Arbok charges forward and strikes at Tony.)

(Ralph calls out.)

Ralph: "Oh no!"

(Maria quickly checks on Tony to see if he's okay.)

(Tony sits up to let Maria know that he's okay.)

(Then Tony pushes Maria out of the way over Victreebel.)

(Then Maria tackles Victreebel and Tony scratches Arbok.)

Tomo: "Those two sure make a great team!"

(Tomo says.)

Tracey: "Yeah! They may not be that strong, but they really know how to battle!"

(Tracey says.)

(James calls out.)

James: "Get in there, Victreebel!"

(Victreebel manges to pin down Tony, but Maria tackles Victreebel, saving Tony.)

Misty: "Look! They're fighting for each other!"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Yeah. It shows that they really care for one another."

(Mew says.)

(Seeing this really surprised their trainers.)

(Emily says in surprise.)

Emily: "Maria's battling for Tony."

(Ralph feels the same.)

Ralph: "Tony's battling for Maria."

(That's when they realize that they both love each other so much, that they're willing to fight for each other.)

(Soon, Abok wraps both Nidoran.)

(Emily calls out.)

Emily: "Maria!"

(Then Ralph calls out.)

Ralph: "Tony!"

(Both of them turn to each other and nod their heads.)

(Then they both bite on Arbok, forcing it to let them loose.)

(Then they both begin to use their Scratch Attack on Arbok and Victreebel.)

(Jessie shouts.)

Jessie: "Come on! Don't let those little runts beat you!"

(Yet Tony and Maria continue to pound away on Arbok and Victreebel.)

Misty: "Those two are a great combination!"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Those two make quite the pair."

(Mew says.)

(Emily says.)

Emily: "You're right!"

(And Ralph agrees.)

Ralph: "They are!"

(Then they both call out to their Pokemon.)

Emily and Ralph: "Fury Swipes attack!"

(Both Nidoran then perform Fury Swipe at Arbok and Victreebel.)

(Then Ralph and Emily call out.)

Ralph and Emily: "Double Kick!"

(They both soon give Arbok and Victreebel a combined Double Kick.)

(Ralph cheers for Tony.)

Ralph: "Great job, Tony!"

Emily: "You too, Maria!"

(Emily says.)

(Then Jessie and James call back their Pokemon.)

Meowth: "Turn on da Pokémon picker-uppa!"

(Meowth says.)

Jessie and James: "Right!"

(Jessie and James agree.)

(Mew becomes shocked to see the balloon lift itself off the ground.)

(Meowth then activates the machine.)

Meowth: "Power on!"

Mew: "We gotta do something,"

(Mew says.)

(Eevee turns to Pikachu.)

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee!" (I have an idea!)"

Pikachu: "Pika!" (Gotcha!)

(Pikachu replies.)

(Meowth continues laughing until he realizes that Pikachu and Eevee stop the machine.)

(with a branch to prevent anything from being pulled in.)

(Both Pokemon give them a mischievous smile and let loose their Thunderbolt, shocking them.)

(Then Misty calls out.)

Misty: "Okay! Let er rip, Staryu!"

(Staryu comes out of its Pokeball, and pieces a hole on the balloon.)

(And soon, the balloon is sent flying as Pikachu and Eevee hop off.)

(Jessie screams.)

Jessie: "We lost again!"

James: "This time it was a…"

(James says.)

Meowth: "Doubleheader!"

(Meowth adds.)

(Then they all scream.)

Team Rocket: "Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

(Soon, Team Rocket is gone.)

(Misty calls out to them.)

Misty: "Bon Voyage! Just remember what happens to anybody who tries to mess around with Pokémon in love!"

(Then Misty turns to Ralph and Emily.)

Misty: "Hey! You know, you two are much better than Team Rocket. The both of you have such beautiful Nidoran. And now you can see how much they want to be together. Trainers ought to make their Pokemon happy."

Tomo: "Misty's right,"

(Tomo says.)

(The pokemon nod their heads in reply.)

Emily: "Yeah,"

(Emily replies.)

Ralph: "Yeah,"

(Ralph replies.)

(She then asks.)

Emily: "But how could I say goodbye to Maria?"

(Then Ralph asks.)

Ralph: "How could I say goodbye to Tony?"

(Then Tracey says.)

Tracey: "You don't have to say goodbye. You're next-door neighbors, right? You can build a little house for them, right in between. Then you can be together, everyday."

(The pair asks.)

Ralph and Emily: "With Ralph?/Emily?"

(The two soon realize that they both like the idea of being together and say.)

Ralph and Emily: "I guess, we'll try."

Misty: "A truce!"

(Misty happily says.)

(Then look at the two Nidoran.)

Misty: "Finally, the two of you can live happily ever after."

(Both Maria and Tony louch noses with happiness.)

(soon, they both suddenly begin to glow.)

(To everyone's surprise, Maria has evolved to a Nidorina, and Tony has evolved to a Nidorino.)

Misty: "They both just evolved!"

(Misty says, surprised.)

Tracey: "They're a Nidorino and a Nidorina!"

(Tracey says.)

(Mew brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Nidorina, the Poison Pin Pokémon. The evolved form of the female Nidoran. A Poison Type. It emits supersonic waves from its mouth to confuse its enemies. Nidorino, the Poison Pin Pokémon. The evolved form of the male Nidoran. A Poison Type. Its highly developed horn is extremely powerful."

(Tracey sketches the pair.)

Tracey: "Wow! This is almost like a fairy tale!"

(Emily kneels down to Maria.)

Emily: "Maria!"

(Ralph does the same.)

Ralph: "Tony!"

(Then the two begin laughing.)

Tracey: "I wonder how they evolved. From the battle or the kiss?"

(Tracey says.)

(Misty blushes and grabs the sketchbook.)

Misty: "Tracey, you're a goof."

(and knocks Tracey with it.)

(A little confused, Tomo asks.)

Tomo: "You think people change when they get kissed?"

(Misty chuckles with a smile.)

Misty: "I guess we'll have to find out for ourselves."

(Tomo is confused, but Mew thinks and begins to blush, whatever has her thinking, has her face turning red.)

(Later on, Ralph, Emily, Maria, and Tony say goodbye to Mew and her friends and vice versa.)

(And so Mew and her friends help teach the two young trainers a lesson.)

(and help two Pokemon find their happily ever after.)

(Meanwhile, at the church in town, as a newlywed couple leaves to begin their new lives together.)

(Team Rocket are trapped in the ringing bells.)
