Chapter 13: The Whistle Stop

(On a bright and sunny day.)

(Mew and her friends continue to travel across the Johto Region and make their way to Violet City.)

(And soon, they approach a bridge up ahead.)

(On the bridge there is a small hole and a periscope pops up through the hole, and has its eye spotting on the gang.)

(That someone is, of course, Team Rocket.)

(Spotting them, Meowth laughs and says.)

Meowth: "Here they come. It's the twerp group, Pikachu, and Eevee, and dey're headed dis way."

(Below the bridge are Team Rocket and are sitting on a cage being tied by a rope, waiting for them to arrive.)

Jessie: "Little do they know that their travel plans are about to fall through,"

(Jessie says.)

James: "Fall through, indeed,"

(James says.)

Meowth: "This plan may be simple, but I think it's our best one ever,"

(Meowth says.)

(Then Jessie says.)

Jessie: "When those twerps get right overhead..."

James: "When they're in just the right position..."

(James says.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "We pull the rope, the bottom drops out and they tumble into the cage, then we slip on the lid and we got em right where we want 'em."

Jessie: "And that Pikachu and Eevee, too!"

(Jessie says.)

(And begin dancing around for a victory dance.)

(However, the dance and chant is causing pressure on the middle section on the bridge, causing it to crack.)

(Jessie panics.)

Jessie: "It's, collapsing!"

James: "So is our plan!"

(James freaks out.)

(Meowth says.)

Meowth: "We usually don't wash out this early!"

(And with that, the bridge gives weight, sending Team Rocket into the raging river.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "Team Rocket's splashing off again!"

(Soon enough, Mew and the others arrive to see the bridge has broken apart.)

Tomo: "Hmm? I wonder how that happened?"

(Tomo asks.)

Tomo: "How are we going to get across?"

(Then Misty says.)

Misty: "I guess we could keep walking along the river till we find another bridge."

Brock: "Yeah, but the map says the nearest one's ten miles away!"

(Brock says, looking at the map.)

Mew: "That or we can ask our Pokemon to help out,"

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly, they hear the sound of a whistle blowing.)

(Everyone looks up to see a girl floating in on a sling being held up by six Ladybug-looking Pokemon.)

(The girl has short brown hair, wears a blue and dark blue outfit with yellowish orange pants, and brown shoes.)

Mew: "are Ledyba,"

(Mew says, and brings out her Pokedex.)

(Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Ledyba, the Five Star Pokemon. A Bug and Flying Type. These naturally gentle bug types gather in groups during cold weather to keep warm."

(Brock looks through the binocular to see the girl on the sling.)

Brock: "Girl traveling, with Ledyba, this natural beauty, short, boyish hairstyle, provides the ideal complement to her warm, feminine features...this girl is obviously Brock's type aheeahehh!"

Misty: "Here we go again,"

(Misty says.)

(Then Brock waves and calls out.)

Brock: "Hello?! Hello?!"

(Soon, the girl notices.)

(Brock calls out.)

Brock: "Yoo-hoo! Over here!"

(Soon, the girl turn to her Ledyba.)

the girl: "Begin your descent, decrease speed 50 percent and prepare for immediate landing."

(and blows the whistle.)

(The Ledyba then begins to move down towards Mew and her friends.)

Jen: "They look cute,"

(Jen says.)

Misty: "I agree. However, the only thing that's bugging me now is Brock,"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "This is like a miracle!"

(Brock happily says.)

(As soon as the girl lands, Brock charges forward and grabs the girl's hand.)

(Then Brock happily says.)

Brock: "Thank goodness that you have come to save us, why... why you're like an angel out of the blue."

The girl: "Can I help you with something?"

(The girl asks.)

(Mew then says.)

Mew: "Yes, miss. We need to get across the water... and Brock needs to get back to earth."

Brock: "You floated down from the heavens to aid and comfort me in my time of desperate need,"

(Brock says, and clutches the girl's hands in his own.)

Brock: "Fate brought us together, but no fate in heaven or on earth will ever tear us apart!"

(And Misty shoves Brock aside and says.)

Misty: "We just need to get across the river."

The girl: "Well I could fly you across with my Ledyba, if you like,

(The girl says.)

Mew: "That'd be great,"

(Mew says.)

(Then introduces herself.)

Mew: "My name is Mew, these are my friends, Pikachu and Eevee. What's your name?"

Arielle: "Oh, my name is Arielle. It's nice to meet you,"

(The girl, Arielle says.)

Misty: "Nice to meet you, my name is Misty, and these are Togepi and Pichu,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "I'm Tomo, these are my pals, Meloetta and Skwovet,"

(Tomo says.)

(Then Jen says.)

Jen: "I'm Jen, and these are my friends Amaura and Snubbull."

Arielle: "We'll take you over one at a time when you're ready"

(Arielle says,)

Everyone: "We're ready when you are!"

(Everyone replies.)

(Soon, everyone is being taken across the river one at a time.)

(Mew, Pikachu and Eevee ride with Arielle.)

Mew: "Pretty cool, huh, guys?"

(Mew says.)

(Pikachu and Eevee agree)

Arielle: "Descend,"

(Arielle says, and gives them a toot with her whistle.)

(The Ledyba descends and soon, everyone is across the river.)

Mew: "That was really great. Thanks a lot, Arielle,"

(Mew says.)

Arielle: "Oh, no problem. We had to come here to do a little work in this apple orchard, anyway,"

(Arielle says.)

Misty: "Apple orchard? You mean, these are all apple trees?"

(Misty asks.)

(Then look towards the trees.)

Misty:: "The white flowers are beautiful. Aren't they, Togepi? Right Pichu?"

(Pichu and Togepi happily agree.)

Brock: "I don't understand. Why did you have to come to this orchard?"

(Brock asks.)

Arielle: "Well, I..."

(Arielle begins to explain.)

(Suddenly, someone comes in on a tractor.)

???: "Arielle! Good to see you, girl. All set to go to work?"

Arielle: "We're all set, Mr. Douglas,"

(Arielle says.)

(Then the man, Mr. Douglas drives away.)

Tomo: "What are you gonna do, Arielle?"

(Tomo asks.)

(Then Arielle replies.)

Arielle: "Why don't you guys stay for a while and see for yourselves?"

(Soon,Arielle is preparing to do her job.)

Mew: "Bet she uses the Ledyba,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Misty asks.)

Misty: "What would Ledyba have to do with flowers?"

(Arielle lets some grass blow in the wind and says.)

Arielle: "Wind, southwest at 1 knot. Begin climbing at forty degrees. On the whistle..."

(The Ledyba set for action.)

(Arielle blows the whistle, and the group of Ledyba takes off.)

(Then Arielle calls out.)

Arielle: "Descend."

(and blows the whistle.)

(The Ledyba descends.)

Arielle: "Now climb,"

(Arielle says, and blows the whistle.)

(The Ledyba gains altitude.)

(Then Arielle says.)

Arielle: "Descend."

(and blows the whistle.)

(The Ledyba drops in altitude, close enough for the flowers to touch them.)

Brock: "I see. The Ledyba are pollinating the orchard,"

(Brock says.)

Jen: "Pollinating,"

(Jen says.)

(Tomo understands.)

Tomo: "So, that's what they're doing."

Misty: "Oh, I get it,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Yeah. The Ledyba gather the pollen from one flower and spreads it to another flower to help them blossom and grow,"

(Mew says.)

Mew: "Hmm, I have an idea,"

(Mew says.)

(She then throws her Pokeball and calls out.)

Mew: "Go Ledyba!"

(With that, her Ledyba comes out as well.)

(Mew turns to Ledyba.)

Mew: "Hey Ledyba, you wanna help the group of Ledyba transfer pollen?"

(Ledyba nods her head in reply.)

(And flies out to help the Ledyba.)

(Mew's Ledyba pays close attention to what Arielle's Ledyba can do and copy what they do.)

(At the same time, Arielle continues to instruct her Ledyba again and loses altitude with a blow of her whistle.)

(Amazed, Brock says.)

Brock: "I can't believe how she can command all six of her Ledyba at one time."

Misty: "She's almost like an army drill sergeant. Isn't she, Mew?"

(Misty says.)

(Mew nods in reply.)

Brock: "Yeah, and I'd join her platoon any day,"

(Brock happily says.)

(Tomo and Jen reply with Misty.)

Misty, Tomo and Jen: "At ease."

(Mew walks to Arielle and asks.)

Mew: "Arielle, how'd you learn to control your Ledyba like that?"

Arielle: "Well, I've done a lot of training, of course, but the real key's this little whistle. The way I give the Ledyba all of their commands is by playing different notes with it,"

(Arielle explains.)

Brock: "Amazing,"

(Brock says, impressed.)

Misty: "I wish I had a whistle that worked on Psyduck,"

(Misty says.)

(Jen and Tomo giggle.)

Mew: "So where you get the whistle?"

(Mew asks.)

Arielle: "It's been passed down in my family for generations,"

(Arielle says.)

Mew: "Neat,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Arielle turns her head.)

Arielle: "I have to admit, your Ledyba is doing very well."

Mew: "Thanks,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Arielle calls out.)

Arielle: "Alright, team, we still have work to do! Let's go!"

(and blows the whistle to command the six Ledyba.)

(However, Team Rocket watches from afar.)

Meowth: "This is like music to my ears! If we can get our paws on that whistle, we'll be the ones to control those Ledyba,"

(Meowth says)

Jessie: "Those twerps will have to change their tune when we're the ones in charge,"

(Jessie says.)

(Then James says.)

James: "I like the sound of this plan."

Arielle: "Okay, Ledyba! Time for a rest! Now!"

(Arielle says and blows the whistle.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Okay Ledyba, time to come back now."

(Arielle's six Ledyba and Mew's Leyba return and land on the ground.)

(And right on cue, Team Rocket begins their plan, again.)

(James calls out.)

James: "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen."

(The group turns to see Team Rocket in disguise.)

(James continues holding a microphone.)

James: "Today on our show, a world renown expert will be here to appraise your antiques and apprise of their value."

Jessie: "Now, kid, let's get down to business,"

(Jessie says in a deep voice.)

(Before anyone can say anything, Jessie leaps forward and pulls Arielle's whistle off of her.)

(Arielle cries out.)

Arielle: "That's my whistle!

(Jessie observes the microphone with a magnifying glass.)

Jessie: "This is a very well made whistle."

James: "And now for our expert's final answer. What did you say?"

(James questions.)

Jessie: "I give it this whistle 5 stars!"

(Jessie says.)

(Then Jessie and James both say.)

Jessie and James: "Bye, everybody! Thanks for watching!"

(and take their leave.)

Mew: "Wait a second!" Mew says.

(Then Arielle says.)

Arielle: "Yeah! You can't take my whistle!

(With that, Team Rocket take their disguise and reveal their true selves as they begin the motto.)

Jessie: Prepare for trouble, it's Team Rocket's whistle!

James: Make it double, that's rocket, not missile.

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation.

James: To unite all people within our nation.

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now or prepare to fight, fight, fight!

(Then Team Rocket's balloon lowers down with Meowth in the basket.)

Meowth: Dat's right!

(Mew angrily says.)

Mew: "Not you again!"

(Then Brock demands.)

Brock: "Give that whistle back!"

Jessie: "Never! Never! Never!"

(Jessie calls out.)

(Then James says.)

James: "You can't blow the whistle on us this time!"

Mew: "We'll see!"

(Mew says.)

(Meowth laughs and says.)

Meowth: "De only place you'll see us is in ya dreams, twerpo!"

Jessie: "Bye!"

(Jessie says.)

(Jessie grabs the whistle and says.)

Jessie: "Time for you to come with us, Ledyba."

(And blows it.)

(However, Arielle's Ledyba stares up at her, blinking in confusion.)

(Mew's Ledyba frowns because she knows who Team Rocket are and won't listen to a word or whistle they say.)

Jessie: "What's wrong with you?!"

(Jessie questions and blows the whistle again.)

Jessie: "Can't you hear this?"

(and blows the whistle.)

Jessie: "Let's go!"

Arielle: "The Ledyba won't obey you if you haven't done any training with them!"

(Arielle says.)

Mew: "And one of them happens to be my friend!"

(Mew adds.)

(Team Rocket look dumbfounded to see their plan hasn't worked.)

(Jessie mumbles.)

Jessie: "We went through all this trouble and we're not catching any Ledyba?"

James: "Even though we blew the whistle, I guess we blew it, really, we did,"

(James mumbles.)

(Meowth growls and screams.)

Meowth: "Dis is a big bug rip off!

Tomo: "Don't tell us about rip offs!"

(Tomo shouts.)

Jen: "You're the thieves!"

(Jen shouts.)

(Then Brock shouts.)

Brock: "Yeah! Give Arielle's whistle back!"

(Furious, Jessie shouts.)

Jessie: "I'll give you something, twerps! Go!"

(And calls out her Lickitung.)

(Jessie commands.)

Jessie: "Lickitung, use Supersonic attack!"

(Lickitung performs Supersonic, causing everyone to cover their ears in pain.)

(Arielle then calls out.)

Arielle: "Use Tackle attack, now!"

(So far, the group isn't listening.)

(Arielle calls out.)

Arielle: "Why aren't you listening? I said Tackle attack, now!"

(Meowth laughs.)

Meowth: "While those bugs are bogged down, I say we grab Pikachu!"

Jessie: "Yeah!"

(Jessie cheers.)

(Then Mew says.)

Mew: "That's what you think! Go, Eevee and Pikachu!"

(Pikachu and Eevee leap into action.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Use Thunderbolt attack, now!"

(They both perform the electric attack and fry Team Rocket.)

(However, that scares Ledyba away.)

(Arielle calls out.)

Arielle: "Ledyba, where are you going?! Come back!"

(Mew's Ledyba sees them leaving and chases after them.)

Mew: "Ledyba!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Soon, the balloon bursts and flies away as Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

Mew: "At least we burst their bubble,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Misty realizes.)

Misty: "But they got the whistle!

(Then Brock notices.)

Brock: "And Look!"

(Soon, everyone sees Arielle's Ledyba are flying away, and Mew's Ledyba chases after them.)

(Arielle says, stunned.)

Arielle: "Ledyba."

(and screams.)

Arielle: "LEDYBA!"

(Soon, Arielle and the kids head into the woods to find the Ledyba.)

(Everyone calls out to Ledyba.)

(They search and search, but can't find them.)

(Mew turns to Arielle.)

Mew: "We're sorry. We didn't know Pikachu's and Eevee's Thunderbolts would scare all your Ledyba away."

Arielle: "Thanks, Mew, but it wasn't your fault. You had no choice. You had to do something to stop that Team Rocket,"

(Arielle says.)

(Then says.)

Arielle: "And it was brave of your Ledyba to go after them."

(Then Brock comes out.)

Brock: "I'll find your Ledyba, Arielle!"

(and calls out.)

Brock: "Go, Zubat!"

(Then Zubat comes out of the Pokeball.)

Jen: "Why Zubat?"

(Jen asks)

Brock: "Ledyba and Zubat both use Supersonic waves. And if the waves synch up, we'll be able to track them down,"

(Brock says.)

Tomo: "Good idea!"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "Smart thinking. Let's see if it works,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Brock says to his Pokemon.)

Brock: "Zubat, use your Supersonic and bring back those Ledyba!"

(Zubat flies into the forest, and soon returns after having found something.)

Brock: "Wow! Sounds like Zubat found them already!"

(Brock happily says.)

(However, instead of seven Ledyba, it's a flock of Golbat zoom and swoop around them.)

Mew: "It's a whole bunch of Golbat!"

(Mew panics.)

Brock: "Zubat, return, now!"

(Brock says and returns Zubat to the Pokeball.)

(Everyone sighs in relief as the Golbat return to where they came.)

(Misty angrily screams.)

Misty: "Brock! That Supersonic idea was super stupid!"

Brock: "I was only trying to help, guys, but I guess I went a little batty,"

(Brock sheepishly says.)

Mew: "It was a good idea at the time, just not for the Ledyba,"

(Mew says.)

Mew: "We need another plan."

(Arielle thinks and says.)

Arielle: "All my Ledyba love the smell of flowers, so, maybe they flew off to a garden somewhere."

Mew: "Flowers, huh? And they love the smell,"

(Mew says.)

(Then has an idea and calls out.)

Mew: "Heracross, I choose you!"

Misty: "I don't know about this,"

(Misty says, unsure.)

(Mew walks to Heracross and says.)

Mew: "Now Heracross, we need you to find the nearest place that has the smell of flowers, can you do that?"

(Heracross nods his head and begins to sniff.)

(Soon, Heracross gets a scent.)

Mew: "It must be over that way! Come on!"

(Mew says.)

(Heracross leads the way, and ends up growing hungry and eating some of the sap.)

(Mew giggles.)

Mew: "Keep eating all that sap and you'll turn into one."

(Meanwhile, in a field of flowers, Jessie happily sighs.)

Jessie: "Ahhh... Skies as blue as sapphires, clouds as white as marshmallows... we could be sailing sweetly through them on soft summer breezes..."

(But then angrily says.)

Jessie: "But instead we're stuck on the ground sewing this dumb balloon!"

Meowth: "How about a little less yapping and a little more sewing?"

(Meowth replies.)

(Instead of being in a field of flowers, they are stuck on the ground.)

(as they sew the balloon together after being blasted off.)

(Jessie mumbles.)

Jessie: "That's right."

(Jessie angrily says.)

Jessie: "Now I remember why this whistle reminds me of you two! It's useless!"

(and tosses the whistle aside.)

Meowth: "Don't trow it away,"

(Meowth says and scoops it back up.)

Meowth: "Maybe it didn't work cause you wasn't playing it the right way, Jessie."

(Jessie angrily says.)

Jessie: "Well, I'd like to see you do any better!"

Meowth: "Don't mind if I do,"

(Meowth says, and begins to blow the whistle.)

(All he is blowing is a light breathing noise.)

(Jessie laughs at Meowth.)

Jessie: "Looks like you're working yourself into a huff. Arbok."

(and calls out Arbok.)

(Then Arbok comes out of the Pokeball.)

(Jessie says.)

Jessie: "Make yourself useful and go find us something to eat."

(Just then, Meowth blows the whistle, and Arbok begins dancing and swaying to the music.)

(Seeing her Pokemon dance, Jessie asks.)

Jessie: "What's gotten into you, Arbok?"

(Meowth hears Jessie and stops whistling, making Arbok stop.)

(When Meowth blows again, Arbok starts dancing.)

Meowth: "Hey! Arbok is moving and grooving to the whistle!"

(Meowth says, and plays the whistle.)

(Arbok begins to dance, shocking Jessie and James.)

Jessie: "You're right!"

(Jessie says, shocked.)

(James is just as shocked.)

James: "Oh my!"

Meowth: "I always thought I was a real charmer... and I was right!"

(Meowth says.)

(And he laughs as he hugs the whistle.)

(James soon turns his head back and sees something.)

James: "Hey, look! Over there!"

(What James sees are all seven Ledyba, fast asleep.)

James: "It's all them Ledyba!"

(James says.)

Jessie: "Now we can capture them the old fashioned way!"

(Jessie says.)

(But Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Jessie, let me handle this one, will ya?"

(Jessie and James become puzzled.)

Meowth: "Okay, Arbok, dive underground and round up all them Ledyba, pronto!"

(Meowth commands.)

(But Jessie questions.)

Jessie: "You don't really expect Arbok to listen to you, do you?"

(With that, Meowth blows the whistle in a strange sound.)

(Arbok actually follows Meowth's command, much to his teammate's shock.)

(The Ledyba soon feel something off, and look in surprise to see Aebok's presence, causing them to be scared.)

(Except for Mew's Ledyba.)

(Mew's Ledyba tries to fight back, but Arbok swats her with its tail.)

(Then Meowth throws the net, catching them in the process.)

(Meowth laughs.)

Meowth: "I'm a pretty good trainer, ain't I?"

Jessie: "I'm not sure I like this idea,"

(Jessie says, unamazed.)

(Soon, Meowth has all seven Ledyba tied to ropes to keep them from flying away.)

Meowth: "There, that should keep you under control."

(Soon, the Ledyba take off, taking Meowth with them.)

(Soon, Jessie and James grab Meowth to keep him from flying away.)

Meowth: "This is better than our balloon!"

(Meowth says.)

(James whines.)

James: "Yes, as long as you don't let go of that rope!"

Jessie: "Now that we've got the Ledyba, let's go get that Pikachu and Eevee!"

(Jessie says.)

(Then calls out.)

Jessie: "Ready, go! Oh, sorry, Ledy, go! Uhhh..."

(But none of the Ledyba are listening, especially Mew's.)

Jessie: "Hey! Quit stallin'!"

(Jessie shouts.)

James: "Let's move it!"

(James says.)

Jessie: "Time to take us to the twerps,"

(Jessie says.)

(Mew's Ledyba talks to the others, and they all drop what looks like Stun Spore on Team Rocket.)

(Jessie screams.)

Jessie: "Ahhh! My eyes!"

(James panics.)

James: "Ahhh! What's this orange stuff?!

Meowth: "I've hoid of seeing red, but not orange!"

(Meowth panics.)

(Soon the Ledyba carry Team Rocket away as Arbok slither after them.)

(Meanwhile, Mew and the others are still searching for the Ledyba.)

(Brock calls out.)

Brock: "Hey, Ledyba!"

Mew: "Ledyba!"

(Mew calls out.)

Tomo: "Where are you?!"

(Tomo calls out.)

(Then Misty calls out.)

Misty: "Ledyba!"

Mew: "Don't worry, Arielle, we'll find them,"

(Mew says.)

Arielle: "Yes, but even if we do find my Ledyba, I have a feeling they're all going to stop listening to me,"

(Arielle says, feeling doubtful.)

Misty: "That won't happen, Arielle,"

(Misty says.)

(But Arielle says.)

Arielle: "It's already happened once. Without that whistle, they'll never listen to a word I say."

Brock: "Of course they will, they just got confused by Lickitung's Supersonic,"

(Brock says.)

Arielle: "I hope you're right,"

(Arielle says, and begins tearing up.)

Arielle: "Because I can't imagine what I'd do if my Ledyba don't come back to me. I can't even think about life without my beautiful Ledyba."

(and begins to cry.)

(Just then, Mew says.)

Mew: "Listen, Arielle. Who raised those Ledyba and trained them took care of them when they got sick?"

Arielle: "Me. I've done that ever since they were little, tiny babies,"

(Arielle says.)

(Mew nods her head.)

Mew: "That's right! That's what's important, Arielle. What's in their hearts. That whistle doesn't matter."

(Arielle then remembers all the time she and her Ledyba have together, and it gives her wonderful memories.)

Arielle: "Maybe..."

(Arielle replies.)

Mew: "I know it. When we find them, it'll be just like it was. You'll see,"

(Mew says.)

(In tears, Arielle says.)

Arielle: "Thanks, Mew. You're probably right."

(Suddenly, Arielle catches a familiar smell.)

Arielle: "Do you smell what I do?"

Brock: "What?"

(Brock asks.)

(Everyone else takes a whiff.)

(But Misty says.)

Misty: "I don't smell anything."

Mew: "It's faint, but it's there,"

(Mew says.)

(Then gasps.)

Mew: "And one of them is my Ledyba."

Arielle: "And I smell mine as well. It's a very faint smell the Ledyba give off when they're in danger,"

(Arielle says.)

Brock: "That must mean they're somewhere nearby,"

(Brock says.)

(Mew says.)

Mew: "Come on, Pikachu, Eevee, we'll take a look."

(With that, Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee climb the tree to get a better view and sense.)

(And soon, they see some faint orange dust just past the trees.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Guys, we spot something past those trees. Come on!"

Everyone: "Right!"

(Everyone agrees.)

(Soon, the group find the orange.)

Tomo: "What's this weird fog?"

(Tomo asks.)

(Arielle knows the answer.)

Arielle: "I knew it! The Ledyba must've been in some kind of trouble here!"

Misty: "Look there!"

(Misty says, and spots something.)

Arielle: "Ledyba!"

(Mew and the others follow.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket is still being dragged away by the Ledyba.)

(Arbok then coils itself around the tree and wraps its tail around the rope to prevent the Ledyba from escaping.)

(Jessie happily says.)

Jessie: "Arbok! You're brilliant!"

James: "Nice work, Arbok,"

(James says.)

(Suddenly, they hear Brock's voice.)

Brock: "It's Team Rocket!"

(Team Rocket turns.)

Team Rocket: "Huh?"

(and see Mew and the others.)

Mew: "Okay, hold it right there!"

(Mew says.)

(Then Arielle demands.)

Arielle: "What are you doing with our Ledyba?! Let them go!

Meowth: "Buzz off, you!"

(Meowth shouts.)

(Then Mew and Arielle call out.)

Mew and Arielle: "Ledyba!"

(Then James comes in and fires a bazooka, and blasts a net over the group, pinning them to the ground.)

(James laughs.)

James: "Gotcha!"

Jessie: "Now hand over that Pikachu and Eevee,"

(Jessie says.)

(But Mew refuses.)

Mew: "I would never give Pikachu and Eevee to you! And let go of my Ledyba right this minute!"

(This makes Meowth angry and says.)

Meowth: "Well, then we'll just have to take it from you!"

(Jessie calls out.)

Jessie: "Lickitung, go!"

(And James calls out.)

James: "Victreebel, too!"

(Both Lickitung and Victreebel come out.)

(And of course, Victreebel tries to eat James, again.)

(Then Jessie says to them.)

Jessie: "Do whatever you have to do to get that Pikachu!"

(Soon, Lickitung and Victreebel charge forward.)

(as Arielle looks at her Ledyba.)

(Mew and the others try to break free, but to no avail Seeing Mew in danger, Arielle notices Mew's Ledyba is pulling with all her might.)

(Arielle says in thought.)

Arielle [in mind]: "Will they listen to me? Even. Even without the whistle? But Mew's Ledyba is determined to save us. Guess there's only one way to find out."

(Then Arielle calls out.)

Arielle: "Ledyba!"

Mew: "Ledyba!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Mew's Ledyba and Arielle six Ledyba fly harder and get restless.)

(Meowth laughs.)

Meowth: "Nice try!"

Mew: "Keep going Arielle, they're listening to you,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Jessie calls out the attack.)

Jessie: "Alright, Lickitung, use your Stomp attack!"

(Then James calls out.)

James: "Use your Tackle attack, Victreebel!"

(Both Pokemon begin to pound at the cage.)

(Arielle calls out.)

Arielle: "Ledyba!"

Mew: "Ledyba!"

(Mew calls out.)

(The Ledyba struggle to get loose, and Arbok is unable to keep its grip.)

(Arielle and Mew cry out.)

Arielle and Mew: "Help me!"

(Then Jessie and James Pokemon pound on them.)

(Determined to save their trainers, all Ledyba break free and drag Arbok along.)

Arielle: "Ledyba!"

(Arielle happily cries out.)

(The Ledyba fly so fast that they send Arbok right into Lickitung and Victreebel.)

Arielle: "Great work, Ledyba!"

(Arielle says.)

(Then Mew says.)

Mew: "Now let's take care of Team Rocket!"

(With that, the Ledyba chase Team Rocket.)

Mew: "Now to get out of this,"

(Mew grabs her Pokeball and calls out.)

Mew: "Bulbasaur, I choose you!"

(And Bulbasaur comes out of the Pokeball.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Bulbasaur, use your Razor Leaf to get us out of here!"

(Bulbasaur uses Razor Leaf to cut the net, freeing the group.)

(Being chased by the Ledyba, James calls out.)

James: "Victreebel, use your Razor Leaf attack, too!"

(Victreebel performs the attack and heads towards the Ledyba.)

(Arielle calls out.)

Arielle: "Climb at 70 degrees!"

Mew: "Ledyba, follow the other!"

(Mew calls out.)

(The Ledyba gains altitude and has the leaf cut into the net.)

(Then the other attack comes toward them.)

(Arielle calls out.)

Arielle: "Look out, Ledyba! Descend at 80 degrees!"

(The Ledyba lose altitude and dodge the attack.)

(Jessie shouts.)

Jessie: "Don't just stand there, Lickitung, attack with Supersonic!"

(Lickitung charges.)

Mew: "That won't work this time! Ledyba, use Psybeam!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Ledyba then performs Psybeam and sends Lickitung back at Team Rocket.)

(Then Arielle balls out.)

Arielle: "Okay, Ledyba, descend at 60 degrees then climb at 30 degrees for a Tackle attack! Full speed!"

(The six Ledyba then perform a powerful tackle attack and send Team Rocket flying.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "Looks like Team Rocket's buzzing off again!"

(Soon, Arielle's whistle falls out of Team Rocket's possession and Brock catches it.)

(Arielle hugs her precious Ledyba and Mew's Ledyba lands on Mew's shoulder.)

(With tears in her eyes, Arielle says.)

Arielle: "Ledyba. Thank you all. I'm so glad you're back."

(even the Ledyba cries with joy.)

Misty: "You're a great trainer, Arielle,"

(Misty says.)

(Then Brock says.)

Brock: "It just goes to show you that if you always treat your Pokemon with care, they'll always care about you, too."

Mew: "Yeah!"

(Mew says.)

(The Pokemon agree.)

(Later in the evening.)

(Arielle asks her Ledyba.)

Arielle: "Ready to give it a try, Ledyba?"

(Her Ledyba agrees.)

Arielle: "I'm counting on you. Ready?"

(Arielle says, and blows her whistle with a toot.)

(Then the Ledyba takes off.)

(Arielle calls out.)

Arielle: "Descend."

(The Ledyba lands near the apple blossoms, but this time, Arielle isn't using her whistle.)

(Arielle calls out.)

Arielle: "Okay, keep going."

Brock: "Wow, doesn't seem to matter if you use your whistle or not"

(Brock says, amazed.)

(Then Arielle says.)

Arielle: "From now on, I'm going to try to use the whistle less and less, everyday."

Mew: "Great! And I have a feeling you'll all be a lot happier that way,"

(Mew says.)

Arielle: "Yeah! We're happier already!"

(Arielle says.)

Mew: "Well, we gotta get going, Arielle,"

(Mew says.)

Arielle: "Thanks so much, guys, and take care. Goodbye!"

(Arielle says.)

(Soon, Mew and her friends depart and bid their farewells to Arielle and her Ledyba.)

(And once again, it shows that there's many ways for humans and Pokemon to communicate.)

(And that the most important way, is with their hearts.)
