Chapter 20: Grin To Win!

(Mew and her friends continue their journey to the Azalea.)

(The trail is hot, and the sun is shining bright, Mew and her friends are hot and sweaty.)

Mew: "I'm dying of thirst."

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "Me too. I don't think I can walk another step."

(Tomo says.)

(Misty checks the canteen and says.)

Misty: "The canteen's dry as a bone. There's not even a drop left for Togepi or Pichu."

Jen: "And Amaura doesn't do well in hot heat like this."

(Jen says.)

(And she's right, Amaura is sweating and looking sick.)

(Mew turns to Brock.)

Mew: "How far is it to the next town, Brock?

Brock: "Well, according to this, we're not far from a place called Bloomingvale."

Mew: "How far's not far?"

(Mew asks.)

(Suddenly, Mew spots a water pipe running along the side of the path, and it has a leak.)

Mew: "Water!"

(Mew says, surprised.)

Misty: "Is that real, or is it a mirage?"

(Misty asks.)

Jen: "I think it's real."

(Jen says.)

(Suddenly, a nice young, green haired woman steps in and uses a large wrench to tighten the pipe.)

(She is also wearing a blue blouse, orange skirt, a light yellow apron, and a sun hat.)

(She begins to seal the water as it pumps out water.)

(Mew walks over and asks.)

Mew: "Excuse me, Miss. Is it okay if we take a drink from that pipe?"

young lady: "Sure, it's okay with me,"

(The young lady says with a smile.)

(Brock blushes and says.)

Brock: "Oh kind miss, I can't begin to express my gratitude! But, perhaps, if I had your e-mail address or beeper number, we could arrange to meet sometime and..."

(And Misty grabs him by the ear and drags him away, as usual.)

Misty: "She's not going to give you water if she thinks you're all wet!"

(Soon, the young lady helps Mew and her friends fill their canteens with water and help give their Pokemon something to drink.)

(To help Amaura keep cool.)

(Mew calls out Glaceon, and Misty calls out Snover to help.)

Misty: "This is super nice of you, my name is Misty."

(Misty says.)

Sonrisa: "No problem, my name's Sonrisa. Nice to meet you."

(The young lady says.)

Mew: "I'm Mew."

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "And I'm Tomo."

(Tomo says.)

Jen: "Jen is my name."

(Jen says.)

(Sonrisa sets the pipe back into its place and prepares to use the wrench to tighten it.)

Sonrisa: "That should do it."

(Sonrisa says.)

(But Brock takes the wrench.)

Brock: "Hold it there, Sonrisa! I can't allow those dainty digits of yours to become calloused! Allow me to perform this rough, physical task for you!"

(Brock begins to tighten the pipe, but it springs a leak and sprays water in Brock's face.)

(Brock laughs.)

Brock: "I usually have a very dry sense of humor, but not today!"

Sonrisa: "You're very funny, Brock."

(Sonrisa says.)

(Misty sighs in reply.)

(Soon, Sonrise begins to show Mew and her friends around Bloomingvale.)

Mew: "Bloomingvale seems really nice."

(Mew says.)

Sonrisa: "I love it. The sun shines almost every single day. The weather's perfect for raising my favorite Pokemon."

(Sonrisa says.)

(Soon, Sonrisa leads the group to her place.)

Sonrisa: "Well, here we are."

(Sonrisa says.)

Brock: "Pretty place you've got here."

(Brock says.)

(Then notices the greenhouse close by.)

Brock: "And look, a greenhouse!"

(Sonrisa opens a hatch, turns the faucet, and the sprinkler turns on to spray water.)

Brock: "Is that from your own water supply?"

(Brock asks.)

Sonrisa: "Uh huh."

(Sonrisa answers.)

Sonrisa: "I built my own system of pipes that bring pure water down from the mountains. Okay! Time for your daily sprinkle!"

(Soon, three walking sunflowers that have feet and leaves for arms come out.)

(Two of them are very happy, but one of them looks really sad.)

Jen: "Look there."

(Jen says, amazed.)

(Two of the three Pokemon are happily dancing in the sprinklers, but one of them isn't.)

Brock: "Are those Sunflora?"

(Brock asks.)

Sonrisa: "Yep. There are a lot of them here in town. In fact, Bloomingvale is famous for Sunflora."

(Sonrisa says.)

(Then turns, and sometimes.)

Sonrisa: "I welcome wild Sunflora to my garden. And there's one now."

(The group looks to see a wild Sunflora entering the garden.)

(Mew brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Sunflora, the Sun Pokemon and the evolved form of Sunkern. A Grass Type. This smiling Pokemon loves the sun, but it also needs plenty of water to ensure healthy development."

Mew: "Just like a flower!"

(Mew says.)

Mew: "I guess all of that clean mountain water keeps them happy."

Sonrisa: "Pure water makes the Sunflora happy. And they have to be happy or they don't stand a chance at the Sunflora Festival."

(Sonrisa says.)

Tomo: "What's the Sunflora Festival?"

(Tomo asks.)

(Sonrisa answers.)

Sonrisa: "Oh, it's a big celebration they have here every year, and every year they have a competition to see who has the best Sunflora."

Tomo: "Cool!"

(Tomo says.)

Sonrisa: "Sunflora trainers like me train all year long just to have a chance at the 1st place trophy."

(Sonrisa says.)

(Then Misty asks.)

Misty: "Have you ever come in first?"

Sonrisa: "No. But I think I might have a chance to win this year."

(Sonrisa says.)

(Suddenly, another Sunflora trainer walks over to say.)

???: "How you doing, Sonrisa?! How come you're not training your Sunflora?"

(The trainer is a young man with a red headband, beige pants, brown shoes, a light greenish blue shirt, and a dark blue vest.)

Sonrisa: "We did some training earlier, and now I'm just watering them."

(Sonrisa answers.)

???: "Well, I hope it makes them happy, cause I just heard that Lester is doing something that'll make his Sunflora's smiles even happier! He's hired a comedian!"

(The young man says.)

(He and his Sunflora laugh and the young man says.)

???: "That's a laugh."

Misty: "A comedian?"

(Misty says, confused.)

(Brock turns to Sonrisa and asks.)

Brock: "Is that guy a friend of yours, Sonrisa?

Sonrisa: "Cyrus is a Sunflora trainer who lives down the street. He's won the Sunflora of the year award three times!"

(Sonrisa says.)

Misty: "Sounds like the trainers around here are pretty desperate to win!"

(Misty replies.)

Sonrisa: "People try anything to give their Sunflora an advantage."

(Sonrisa says.)

Sonrisa: "See that?"

(The group looks to see a prim looking woman with her Sunflora walking down the street.)

Sonrisa: "That trainer makes her Sunflora wear a mudpack overnight to cut down on wrinkles."

(Sonrisa says.)

(Mew and Tomo chuckle in reply.)

(And soon, Sonrisa points out to a very tanned trainer with blonde hair, and her Sunflora is the same.)

Sonrisa: "And that girl takes hers to a tanning salon. He thinks daily workouts will work."

(Sonrisa says, presenting the sporty man having Sunflora do workout by making it run back and forth dragging a large tire around and tied around its waist.)

Mew: "Looks tiring."

(Mew says.)

(Brock turns to Sonrisa and asks.)

Brock: "Do you do anything special, Sonrisa?"

Sonrisa: "I just give them fresh air, clean water, and try to keep them happy."

(Sonrisa answers.)

(Brock nods in reply.)

Brock: "Good, good, the best way."

(Soon, Brock finally notices one Sunflora who isn't happy.)

(In fact, she looks down in the dumps.)

(Borck happily says.)

Borck: "HEY! A pretty young Sunflora shouldn't look so blue!"

(Brock tries to make funny faces to make Sunflora laugh.)

(Nothing works.)

(Pikachu and the Wild Sunflora try to do the same, but the Sunflora Sonrisa has isn't smiling.)

Mew: "Poor Sunflora, it looks down in the dumps."

(Mew says.)

Jen: "It looks sad."

(Jen says.)

Sonrisa: "That's my prize Sunflora, the one I was planning on entering into the competition tomorrow. But lately it's been so sad."

(Sonrisa says.)

(Then Brock suggests.)

Brock: "Hey! Why don't you let us try and cheer it up for ya?"

Mew: "Yeah, you helped us when we needed some help. The least we can do is to help make your Sunflora smile again!"

(Mew says.)

(Misty likes the idea.)

Misty: "Good idea."

(Even the Pokemon agree.)

(Just then, the Sunflora let out a call and hurry into the greenhouse.)

(The Wild Sunflora follows to be with its friends.)

Misty: "Why are they going back into the greenhouse?"

(Misty asks.)

(Sonrisa answers.)

Sonrisa: "They're just getting ready for the sun to set, Sunflora go to sleep as soon as the sun goes to sleep."

(In the greenhouse, the Sunflora settle down and fall into deep sleep.)

Sonrisa: "Now close your eyes and sleep tight. Pleasant dreams and I'll see you in the morning,"

(Sonrisa says, and closes the door.)

(Later in the night, Mew and the others are walking through town, and the Pokemon are starting to get sleepy.)

Misty: "We're going to have to find a place for OUR beauty sleep."

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "And I could use something to eat."

(Tomo says.)

Jen: "Me too."

(Jen says.)

(Looking at the guide book, Brock says.)

Brock:"Maybe there's a Pokémon Center around here somewhere."

(Moments later, Mew and the others find a Pokemon Center, have something to eat, and later, they all drift into a deep sleep.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket have arrived in town and are picking the lock to one of the greenhouses.)

(Soon, James unpicks the lock?)

Meowth: "Beautiful!"

(Meowth whispers.)

(Impressed, Jessie says.)

Jessie: "You're awfully good with locks."

James: "I know how to pick 'em!"

(James says.)

(Team Rocket soon enters the greenhouse, filled with sleeping Sunflora.)

Meowth: "Look at this! There's gotta be a zillion Sunflora in here."

(Meowth says, amazed.)

(Then James says.)

James: "Let's grab as many of them as we can put our hands on!"

Jessie: "Then we'll sell them and make a fortune!"

(Jessie adds.)

(But Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Under normal coicumstances I'd be 100% behind ya on dat idea. But I got someting cooking dats even better!"

(Jessie and James kneel down.)

(Suspicious, Jessie asks.)

Jessie: "What are you planning, Meowth?"

Meowth: "We're gonna enter a Sunflora contest."

(Meowth answers.)

(Jessie asks.)

Jessie: "Why in the world would we do that?"

Meowth: "No reason, cept that the grand prize is a year's supply of instant noodles!"

(Meowth answers.)

(James gasps in surprise while Jessie replies.)

Jessie: "HUH?"

(Then the two say in excitement.)

Jessie and James: "A whole year's supply of instant noodles?!"

(Meowth shushing Jessie and James.)

Meowth: "Hey! Don't wake up dem Sunflora."

(James dreaming about food.)

James: "What would it be like to win those delicious, nutritious instant noodles, Jessie?!"

Jessie: "It'd feel like winning the instant lottery, only with noodles!"

(Jessie excited agrees.)

(Then James says.)

James: "We've got to find a Sunflora that'll win that contest!"

Meowth (grinning): "I got just This thing to help us look!"

(He pulls out a device that looks like a flashlight.)

(Meowth laughing Says.)

Meowth: "A Sunlight Simulator!"

(James eyes wide.)

James: "Ahhhhhh."

(Jessie determined says.)

Jessie: "Let's get to work, Meowth."

(Meowth aiming the device.)

Meowth: "Rise and shine, now!"

(He shines the light on a group of sleeping Sunflora.)

(The Sunflora wake up, smiling.)

(Jessie confused and asked.)

Jessie: "Is it just me, or do all these sappy, smiling Sunflora look the same?"

(James say with confidence.)

James: "Jessie, each one of these Sunflora is different, and their unique characteristics are obvious to a trained observer like me."

(Meowth curiously asked him.)

Meowth: "How do you know so much about Sunflora, Jimmy-Boy?"

(James nostalgically said.)

James: "I learned from the gardener at Grandmama's estate! When I was a tot."

(Meowth excitedly said )

Meowth: "So What you Waiting for? Get on the stick and pick us out our little meal ticket!"

(James analyzing Sunflora one by one.)

James: "Hmmm..."

(Pointing to each Sunflora in turn.)

James: "The leaves on this one are out of proportion with its petals! This one has a nice smile, but its shape leaves something to be desired. This one's physically nice, but it lacks personality.

There's something insincere about this one's smile. This one just doesn't want to win badly enough! You can tell by the look in its eyes!"

(Jessie peering at them.)

Jessie": "I'm afraid every Sunflora looks just like every other Sunflora to me."

Meowth: "They all got that same dopey grin."

(Meowth says as he begins to walk.)

(Meowth accidently trips and bounces sideways, trying to keep his balance.)

(And by accident, he presses his paw at a button which sets off the alarm in the greenhouse.)

(Meowth yelping out.)

Meowth: "HEY! THAT BUTTON JUST RAN INTO MY PAW!"

(An alarm blares.)

(A net falls on Meowth's head, trapping him.)

(Jessie panicked.)

Jessie: "Now what are we supposed to do?!"

(James shouting.)

James: "RUN FOR IT!"

(Jessie and James dash off, leaving Meowth behind.)

Meowth calls out, "Hey guys, where're ya going?!"

(Meowth struggling calls out.)

Meowth: "Hey, guys, where're you going'?!"

(As Jessie and James rush right out, Cyrus spots them.)

(Cyrus calls out.)

Cyrus: "COME BACK HERE! COME BACK HERE, YOU THIEVES!"

(In the Pokemon Center, Mew and the others are soon Awaken by the sound of the alarm and Cyrus screaming.)

(Tomo rubbing eyes asked.)

Tomo: "Did you hear something?"

Mew: "It sounds like an alarm."

(Mew says.)

(Soon, Mew and the others rush to investigate.)

Brock: "What's going on?"

(Brock asks.)

Cyrus: "I heard a bell go off in the greenhouse. And when I came to check it out, I caught this cat-burglar!"

(Cyrus says.)

(He points his flashlight to reveal Meowth who is tied up.)

Meowth: "Is That supposed to be funny?! Because I ain't laughing."

(Meowth says, offended.)

(Mew and the gang reply in shock.)

Mew: "IT'S MEOWTH!"

Meowth: "I can't believe Jesse and James left me there, like I was yesterday's kitty litter!"

(Meowth says, depressed.)

(Suddenly, Mew and Misty then have an idea.)

Misty: "Hey Mew, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

(Misty whispers.)

Mew: "I think so. And it's worth a shot. Let's do it."

(Mew answers.)

(Misty then says to Cyrus.)

Misty: "I beg your pardon, but we have the feeling that this Pokemon is just... an innocent victim. It must have been corrupted by the two who ran away!"

Meowth: "REALLY?"

(Meowth asks, surprised.)

Misty: "If you release it into our custody, we'll make sure it stays out of trouble!"

(Misty says.)

(Cyrus thinks a bit and says.)

Cyrus: "Well, since it didn't actually steal anything, I guess it's okay."

Misty: "Do you really mean it!"

(Misty says happily.)

(Then Mew turns to Meowth.)

Mew: "Say thank you."

Meowth: "Thank you."

(Meowth says, quietly.)

Misty: "Now come along."

(Misty says.)

(With that, Mew and the others take Meowth to the Pokemon Center, and Snubbull unties him.)

Meowth: "Wow. Wait'll Jessie and James hear the twerps sprung me! You losers ain't so bad, after all."

(Meowth says, amazed.)

(But Misty says.)

Misty: "You don't think that we rescued you for nothing?"

(Mew then kneels to Meowth and says.)

Mew: "We were hoping that since we help you, you can help us."

Meowth: "I should?"

(Meowth questions.)

Misty: "And if you don't, you can go back to the greenhouse to stay!"

(Misty sternly says.)

Meowth: "Fine, What do I gotta do?"

(Meowth asks.)

(Snubbull answers.)

Snubbull: "Snub Snubbull Snub Snubbull Snubbull." (We need your help to talk with a Sunflora who's been feeling down.)

Meowth: "A Sunflora?"

(Meowth says, confused.)

(The next day, Mew and the others arrive at Sonrisa's house with a plan.)

Sonrisa: "Wow. Do you think Meowth can do it?"

(Sonrisa asks.)

Misty: "Yeah, he's gonna talk to your sad little Sunflora, and find out why it's been so unhappy. And we think the Wild Sunflora, Mew and her Sunkurn can help.

(Mew then calls out her Red Sunkern.)

Mew: "Come on out, Sunkern."

(Red Sunkern comes out of the Pokeball with glee.)

Sonrisa: "Aww, what a cute little Sunkern, and quite a unique red color."

(Sonrisa says.)

Mew: "Thanks."

(Mew says.)

(Then turns to Meowth.)

Mew: "Alright Meowth, are you ready to help us?

Meowth: "Hey, since when do I hafta use my poisonal gift of gab to translate for you?"

(Meowth questions.)

(Misty angrily says.)

Misty: "Since I said so!"

Meowth: "You're just as tough on Meowth as Jesse is!"

(Meowth says.)

Mew: "It won't take too long. It will help if Sunflora talks to other Pokemon besides Sunflora and Sunkern."

(Mew says.)

Meowth: "I guess you're right."

(Meowth says.)

(Then turns to the Sad Sunflora.)

Meowth:: "Hey, what's up smiley? You're looking even more like sourpuss than me!"

(With that, Sunflora begins to explain.)

Sunflora: "Flora Flora, Sunflora, Flora Flora Flora Sunflora Flora Flora. (My trouble is that the Sunflora I used to play with aren't here anymore)

(Mew, Wild Sunflora, Sunkern, and Meowth pay attention to Sad Sunflora's trouble.)

Meowth: "You think you got troubles? I gotta deal with two nut-jobs."

(Meowth says.)

Mew: "How about we focus on translating and not relating."

(Mew says.)

Meowth: "All right! All right!"

(Meowth says.)

(Then explains.)

Meowth: "Seems this Sunflora is outta sauce on account that some udder Sunflora it used ta play around with ain't around no more."

Sonrisa: "What little friend are you talking about, Sunny?"

(Sonrisa asks.)

Sunny: "Sunflora Flora Flora Sun," (The Sunflora that belonged to the kid down the street)

(Sunny explains.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "It says it was a Sunflora that belonged to the kid who lives down the street."

Mew: "And the only kid I think of is Cyrus."

(Mew says.)

(Soon, Sonrisa understands.)

Sonrisa: "That has to be Cyrus' little Sunflora."

(Suddenly, a lasso drops over Meowth and pulls him away in surprise.)

(He flies over the hedgehog and crashes to the ground.)

(Meowth sobs.)

Meowth: "Meeee-ouch!"

(James giggles, and Jessie says.)

Jessie: "Oh, you'll be okay."

(Then Jessie and James take off.)

Jessie and James: "Now let's make our getaway!"

(and pulling Meowth along from behind, and his head bumping on the ground.)

(Misty waves goodbye.)

Misty: "Thanks for helping us out, Meowth!"

(Later Mew and the others arrive at Cyrus' greenhouse to ask about the Sunflora Sonrisa's Sunflora knows.)

(Cyrus says.)

Cyrus: "Sure, I know the one you mean. But I traded that Sunflora yesterday for one of Joy's Pokemon."

Misty: "You mean Nurse Joy?"

(Misty asks.)

(Soon after, Mew and the group arrive at the Pokemon Center.)

(Nurse Joy says.)

Nurse Joy: "Oh, you must be talking about my new Pokemon, Grindala."

(And presents her new Sunflora to the group.)

(Sonrisa turns to Sunny.)

Sonrisa: "Sunny, is this your friend?"

(With that, Sunny and Grindala quickly get reacquainted and celebrate to see each other again.)

Misty: "I wish I knew what they were saying."

(Misty says.)

(Brock answers.)

Brock: "'I was so sad when you didn't come to the playground, I thought I'd never see you again and now I'm so happy to see you again!'"

(And says.)

Brock: "Something like that?"

(Mew giggles.)

Mew: "You almost got it right."

Tomo: "But they are very happy to see each other again."

(Tomo says.)

(Sonrisa is happy to see Sunny happy.)

Sonrisa: "I'm just happy that my little Sunny is happy again."

Sunny: "Flora flora flora!" (I've never been so happy!)

(Sunny happily says.)

Sonrisa: "Oh, it's been so long since I've seen that smile."

(Sonrisa says.)

(Then Nurse Joy says.)

Nurse Joy: "Feel free to bring your Sunflora over as often as you'd like. Maybe we can even take them to the playground."

Sonrisa: "Thanks, that'll be fun."

(Sonrisa says.)

(Later Mew and the others are at the Sunflora festival.)

(The crowd is excited for the festival.)

(And their main event is the Sunflora Festival's Contest.)

(The man calls out.)

The man: "Hi, and welcome to the Bloomingvale Sunflora Festival. If you're entering the Sunflora competition, please line up here."

(Within the line of trainers are Jessie and James, with Meowth dressed as a Sunflora.)

(Meowth asks.)

Meowth: "How come I'm da one who's wearing da silly Sunflora get-up?"

Jessie: "Because you're the one who ruined our plan to steal a real Sunflora!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

James: "You wanna win all those noodles, don't you?!"

(James says.)

(Meowth feels pain.)

Meowth: "But my mug is all stretched out, my tail is all squished in and my paws are all messed up! Them judges ain't gonna fall for a Meowth posing as a posey!"

(Jessie shouts.)

Jessie: "Stop complaining!"

(Follow by James.)

James: "If you won't do it for us, at least do it for that year's supply of noodles!"

(Meowth sighs.)

Meowth: "Okay, I'll try."

(Soon, the competition is about to begin.)

(The M.C announces.)

M.C: "Now, here are the finalists hoping to be named Sunflora of the year!"

(The crowd applauds as the finalists take the stage.)

(The M.C announces.)

M.C: "First, here's our returning champion, Cyrus, and his Sunflora, Dorabelle!"

(To Mew and the others' shock, the Sunflora Cyrus has is huge.)

Tomo and Jen: "It's humongous!"

(Tomo and Jen say, surprised.)

(Then Brock says.)

Brock: "I don't want to make accusations, but I bet he's using steroids on that Sunflora!"

(Then the M.C announces.)

M.C: "Next up is Sonrisa and her Sunflora with the fresh mountain spring smile!"

(Sonrisa and Sunny are on the stage. Mew and the others cheer.)

Brock: "Sonrisa!"

(Brock cheers.)

Mew: "You can win!"

(Mew says.)

(The Pokemon happily cheers)

(Then the M.C says.)

M.C: "It looked like a two Flora contest, but there's been a last minute entry. Please put your hands together for the Sunflora presented by the team of Rock and Etta!"

(On the stage Jessie and James laugh, with smiles, and love the spotlight.)

(Mew and the others look unsure.)

(Mew asks.)

Mew: "Do those two look kind of familiar to you?

Brock: "Yeah."

(Brock says.)

Misty: "So does that Sunflora."

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "It doesn't seem to look like one."

(Tomo says.)

(Just then, Snubbull begins to pick up a familiar scent.)

Snubbull: "Snubbull." (It's him.)

(Snubbull begins to leave the others and Jen notices.)

Jen: "Snubbull, where are you going?"

(Jen asks, and follows.)

(On stage, the M.C says.)

M.C: "Now let's here what our distinguished panel of judges has to say."

(The first judge says.)

first judge: "The sheer size of Cyrus' Sunflora is simply astounding! It's very impressive."

(The second, mother judge says.)

second, mother judge: "I think Sonrisa's Sunflora has one of the loveliest smiles I've seen."

(The third business judge says.)

third business judge: "It's quite clear that either of those two could be named the winner."

(The first judge looks at Meowth.)

first judge: "But this third one, there's something odd about."

(Meowth mumbles under breath.)

Meowth: "Dey're getting suspicious!"

(Then the motherly judge says.)

motherly judge: "It looks as though that Sunflora has thorns at the base of it's leaves."

Meowth: "Yeah, dream on, lady!"

(Meowth mumbles under breath.)

(Then the Business judge says.)

Business judge: "I've never seen that before. It creates a wildflower effect. I quite like it. If it's a new species, then I think it's wonderful."

(Soon enough, Snubbull begins to get closer to the stage as she picks up Meowth's scent.)

(Jen is not far behind.)

(The Wild Sunflora decide to tag along.?

(Meowth notices.)

Meowth: "Oh no. Dat's the same Snubbull from dat rich lady's house! And it's with the little twerpette and a wild Sunflora."

(Just then, Snubbull runs to Meowth when she has the chance and begins to hug him.)

(Jen and Wild Sunflora rush over.)

Jen: "Snubbull, what are you doing?"

(Jen asks)

(The M.C says.)

M.C: "Festival Security to the main stage, please."

Mew: "Oh no, what's Snubbull, Jen, and Sunflora doing on the stage?"

(Mew says.)

(Just then, Snubbull then tears off the back end of the disguise, and bites into Meowth's tail.)

(Meowth screams and panics as his cover is blown to reveal the Pokemon he is.)

(Mew and her friends exclaim.)

Mew: "THAT'S MEOWTH!"

(The first judge calls out.)

first judge: "THAT IS NOT A SUNFLORA!"

(Seeing their plan fail, Jessie and James release a smoke pellet that explodes into smoke.)

(And Team Rocket begins the motto.)

Jessie (laughs): Prepare for trouble!

James (laughs): Make it double!

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!

James: To unite all peoples within our nation!

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James: To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!

Meowth (screaming): MEOWTH, DON'T BITE!

(Meowth launches through the air with Snubbull gripping to his tail, and they crash down on stage.)

Mew: "I should've known!"

(Mew says.)

(James picks up Meowth.)

James: "Stop playing, Meowth!"

(Jessie pulls Snubbull off Meowth's tail.)

(Before Jessie can toss it, Jen snatches her away.)

Jen: "You okay, Snubbull?"

(Jen asks.)

(Snubbull nods in reply.)

(Then Jessie turns to James.)

Jessie: "Alright! Let's put our plan into action!"

(James holds the remote.)

James: "Right!"

(With a flick of the switch, giant mirrors lift up from the forest, surrounding the auditorium and glinting in the sunlight.)

James: "This may be the brightest idea we've ever had."

(James says.)

(Then James presses a few buttons, allowing the mirror to direct the sunlight on the crowd, blinding everyone.)

(The Pokemon scream that it's too bright.)

(Soon, the Sunflora absorbs the sunlight, and their heads enlarge, making them tip over.)

(Misty asks.)

Misty: "What's going on? What's happening?"

Mew: "Something terrible!"

(Mew says.)

(Sonrisa and Jen quickly use their own bodies as a shield to protect their Sunflora.)

(Snubbull helps too.)

(Jessie calls out.)

Jessie: "When Sunflora get such a strong dose of sunlight, their heads grow so big so fast that they collapse!"

James: "And they can't use their attacks to get in our way!"

(James says.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "You coulda saved my tail if you'd just used those things ta begin with!"

Misty: "Now Team Rocket's going to try to steal all of the Sunflora!"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "That's all they care about!"

(Tomo says.)

(But Jessie says.)

Jessie: "Wrong as usual, twerps!"

James: "You're not using your noodle!"

(James says.)

(Then the Meowth balloon floats overhead, dropping a net at James' remote control, and the net captures the noodles.)

Jessie: "That was perfect!"

(Jessie says.)

(James happily says.)

James: "Oh, thanks, Jessie, I've been practicing!"

(However, Mew and the others stand in their way.)

(James commands.)

James: "Out of our way!"

Mew: "We aren't going to let you steal these noodles!"

(Mew says.)

Jessie: "We'll see about that!"

(Jessie says, and throws her Pokeball.)

Jessie: "GO!"

(Arbok comes out.)

(Then Mew throws her Pokeball.)

Mew: "CHIKORITA, GO!"

(Chikorita comes out of the Pokeball, but nuzzles Mew almost instantly.)

(Mew giggles and says.)

Mew: "That's very nice. Now go get 'em!"

(Chikorita leaps forward off Mew's shoulder and into battle.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Use your Vine Whip attack, Chikorita!"

(Chikorita extends the vine whip, but Arbok quickly dodges.)

Mew: "Arrh! It's slippery!"

(Mew says.)

(Then Misty throws her Pokeball.)

Misty: "You know what to do, Poliwag!"

(Poliwag comes out of the Pokeball and starts smacking Arbok's in the face with its tail.)

(Jessie shouts.)

Jessie: "Don't turn the other cheek, Arbok! Use your Poison Sting!"

(Arbok launches the attack as Poliwag frantically dodges.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Sunkern, use Bullet Seed!"

(Sunkern then fires Bullet Seed at Arbok.)

James: "Toodles, noodles!"

(James says.)

(At James' command, the balloon lifts the instant noodles off the ground.)

Brock: "It's too late!"

(Brock cries out.)

(But Mew says.)

Mew: "Chikorita, use Razor Leaf attack!"

(Chikorita uses Razor Leaf to cut the rope, bringing the noodles back down.)

James: "Give us those instant noodles this instant!"

(James says, and throws his Pokeball.)

(Weezing comes out.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu, use your Thunder Shock!"

(Pikachu begins to use the attack, but Chikorita, out of jealousy, bumps Pikachu out of the way, and his attack hits all the mirrors, destroying them.)

(James cries out.)

James: "NO! NOT THE MIRRORS!"

Jessie: "They broke every single one!"

(Jessie panics.)

(Sonrisa uncovers Sunny and says.)

Sonrisa: "Alright! The light's gone! You know what to do now, right Sunny?"

(Jen turns to Sunflora.)

Jen: "Sunflora, help Sonrisa."

(Sunflora nods her head.)

(Both Sunny and Sunflora nod as their petals light up.)

(Soon, both Sunflora's faces glow bright.)

(Mew and the others are amazed, while Team Rocket are shocked)

James: "Is that..."

(James says, shocked.)

(Jessie asks, shocked.)

Jessie: "What I think it is?!"

Meowth: "It's using Solar Beam!"

(Meowth panic.)

(With that, Sunny and Sunflora give Team Rocket a double Solar Beam, sending them both flying.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "Team Rocket's blasting off again!

(The judges are amazed by Sunny's display.)

Tomo: "That was cool!"

(Tomo says.)

(Jen hugs Sunflora.)

Jen: "You were great."

(Sunflora blushes.)

(Soon, the other Sunflora's head starts returning to normal as the audience applauds.)

(Later, the contest continues and is about to announce a winner.)

(The M.C says.)

M.C: "This is it, folks! The judges will now make their final evaluations and select a winner!"

(The first judge evaluates.)

first judge: "Cyrus' Sunflora is excellent, but Sonrisa's is simply extraordinary."

(Then the motherly judge says.)

motherly judge: "Sonrisa's Sunflora has such a sensational smile. Just looking at it makes me feel so warm and happy."

(Then the first judge says.)

first judge: "And I think the power of its Solar Beam makes the choice clear."

(Then M.C announces.)

M.C: "Well, the decision is unanimous, folks! Here are your winners of the Sunflora Festival! Let's hear it for Sonrisa and her super smiley Sunflora of the year!"

(Mew and her friends cheer.)

Everyone: "Hooray!"

(Later in the afternoon.)

Sonrisa: "Thank you so much. If it weren't for you, we never would've won the Sunflora of the Year award."

(Sonrisa says.)

(Then Mew says.)

Mew: "You didn't win because of us, Sonrisa."

Misty: "It was all your hard work that won it."

(Misty says.)

(Brock blushes and says.)

Brock: "Oh, Sonrisa. I hate to leave you, but we have to be on our way. But, perhaps you could give me your email address and you and I could chat online and..."

(Misty grabs Brock's ear and pulls him away.)

Misty: "Why don't we have a little offline chat first?"

(Sonrisa giggles.)

(Jen turns to Sunflora.)

Jen: "I'm glad you decided to come with us Sunflora."

Sunflora: "Sunflora," (Me too.)

(Sunflora says.)

(Jen thinks and says.)

Jen: "I think I'll call you, Flora."

Flora: "Flora," (I love it.)

(Sunflora, Flora happily says.)

(Then Jen and Flora hug.)

(Just then, Mew feels a tap on her leg, she looks down to see her red Sunkern.)

Mew: "Yes, Sunkern?"

(Mew asks.)

Sunkern: "Sunkern. Sunkern," (Can I have the Sun Stone?)

(Sunkern asks.)

Mew: "Really? Are you ready?"

(Mew asks.)

(Sunkern nods.)

Sunkern: "Sunkern," (I'm sure.)

Mew: "Okay."

(Mew says.)

(She takes out her Sun Stone, and with a touch, Red Sunkern has evolved into a Red Sunflora.)

Red Sunflora: "Sunflora." (I'm a Sunflora.)

(Red Sunflora says.)

Mew: "You sure are, I say you've earned it."

(Mew says.)

(After that, Mew and her friends take their leave to continue their adventure.)

(Mew and her friends not only helped Sunny smile brightly, but also won the festival to prove it.)

(Mew's Sunkern evolves to Sunflora.)

(And Jen has a Sunflora named Flora.)

(Now Mew and her friends continue on their journey to the next gym.)
