We Meet Again

Next day.

It was early morning when the transport arrived.

A bus, big enough for ten people, arrived.

The driver had messy hair, thin like a man with limbs made of bamboo.

We boarded very fast as we had everything ready the night before.

After we got our backpacks and treasures we had for this expedition onto the bus, we left the safe house.

The ride was a bumpy one.

Stepping on the gas pedal all the way, the driver drove the bus as if it were a race car.

I had to hold back whatever was coming up in my throat.

Just had to endure it and it would be fine when we left Udon Thani, I thought to myself.

With my hand on my mouth, in case I couldn't hold it anymore.

The route we took would be a day of traveling to Bangkok.

It would be too risky for us to take the domestic flight from Udon Thani's airport.

Slowly the traffic began to be busier as everyone started their day.
