CHAPTER 5 : CAN WE BE FRIENDS.

Jemimah's POV

It's been weeks and nothing has changed except for the friendship between I and Olivia which grew tremedously and lately i have been avoiding Jayden but i still do ask certain things about him from Olivia.

As usual i am up again and i could not help but remember Jayden's face it is so handsome, even though i am avoiding him i can't help but secretly admire him sometimes and.....

My thoughts were erupted when mom came into my bedroom

" You lazybone are you not going to school and don't you dare tell me you are not going to that school that's not gonna work on me okay". Mum blasted out angrily.

Even though i no longer talk about quitting that school anymore she still frustrates me about it. I can't contain it anymore. I have to talk

" Really mom, is that all you've got to say, your only child is telling you an important thing but no you choose to go ahead with your decisions , go on then and to even think that i don't talk about it again. Well have a nice day too mum".

I got out of my room angrily, went downstairs and got out of the house with my bag and started heading to school.

I had not taken more than 5 steps when i realized that my school is still far.

"What the fuck" I murmured. I decided to check my bag, when i checked i saw five dollars in my bag so i intend to take a cab as soon as i get out from the estate to the main road.

Jayden's POV

I have been eager to go to school since the night, i want to appologize properly to Jemimah today and also get to know her more. I just can't wait, I'm feeling somehow excited at seeing her face again. Her face is so pretty that i can't seem to take it off my mind . While all this thoughts were going on in my mind, i saw a familiar figure

"Jemy" I exclaimed.

Jemimah's POV

I had just arrive at the main road and was about to order a ride, when a car pulled up by my side. I looked up as the car honked, lo and behold, its Jayden

" Jemimah" he called softly. " Come and join me in the car". He said.

I wanted to oppose but he shook his head in negation as if he had knew what i wanted to say. I had no choice to hop in.

"Good morning ma'am" I greeted his mom as i entered the car.

"Good morning dear, how are you" She asked me.

" I'm fine ma, thank you" I replied rather shortly.

"I thought your mum would drop you off school as she does ". He inquired softly.

I argued in my mind whether to tell him or not but I later decide to tell him

" We had an heated argument this morning,I left home angrily and was about to order a ride when you saw me ." I replied.

" Oh okay. Well I am so sorry for what happened weeks ago, I really am, I couldn't get to appologize coz you were kinda avoiding me and it's making me feel uncomfortable, please do forgive me". He pouted after he was done talking.

I could not help but feel excited when he apologized, oh my gosh, he looks cute when he pouts. Hey ! come back to life Jemy and answer him.

" I forgive you Jay, it is not really your fault that it happened, don't blame yourself okay" I said sincerely.

He nodded and he asked me a question that met me off guard .

" Since we're cool now , can we be friends ". He said with a smile

"Uh uh uh ". I stuttered to be sure I heard right.

" Can we be friends ". He asked again but this time he stretched out his hands .

I gasped almost loud .
