Final Interview before Election starts: Part 3

"There has been news that BP is trying to poach members of Congress. Particularly, rumours about Dr Manmohan Singh, the ex-finance minister who brought economic liberalisation is spreading around. Many Congress leaders are being hidden in resorts. Is that true?"

"Well, yes. I have know Manmohan ji since childhood. Even at such an age, I doubt we can find a better economist than him. The plan is to make him the head of Economy training department of our party, so that he can advise our economic policies, and pass on his knowledge and experience to the next generation.

Our party is particularly focused on bringing in technocratic members, i.e. skilled people in particular fields. I had invited him to join the party, both by call and email. But I didn't get any reply, maybe due to Congress party's instructions. But I do hope that he joins us in future."

"Was money involved?"

"Why the hell will it? Why will I import corruption from other parties by paying them? Anyone who changes party for money will inevitably be involved in a scam, and backstab us as soon as someone offers more money."

"Aishwarya Rai. She has been in talks since she was announced as a MP candidate. Govinda, who joined Congress last year, also joined your party. But he was given the lowest rank to work in panchayat level. So he left, and joined BJP. He has also passed some, colourful comments about it. Why the discrimination?"

"There are various reasons. The most important reason is that Aishwarya is very well spoken. And she has good work ethics and professionalism.

Both are very popular in the country. I am a big fan of Govinda's acting. But it is politics. Not movie industry. I didn't take his interview, but from the recordings that are in the database, you will find that he isn't MP, or MLA material. And that's not a bad thing. He just had to prove himself as capable. Promotions and demotions are fast in our party.

The reason I put Aishwarya in the MP candidate position, and not any other actor or actresses, is because she is a person capable of representative of the party. She has good education as well, and I believe that she will be immensely helpful in reforming the Indian movie industry, be it of Mumbai, or anywhere from across the country, and will be helpful in popularising more entertainment industries like comics, animes, dramas, and our movies. Just not in India, but across the world.

You see how Hollywood exports its culture throughout the world with its movies? That is soft power. And for India's soft power, we have poverty porn. That needs to change.

Another thing. Our entertainment industries are very exploitative. Coercing young girls into sleeping with powerful figures for getting roles, blacklisting women only when married men also cheat with them. It suppresses talent. Stalking is normalised. All the creepiness and harassment being shown as romantic is very concerning. And it is affecting our society.

Moreover, we have huge amount of talent in our country. But, a group of mutual friends dominate the industry, and can bury anyone they want. I am talking about bollywood. I am not too sure about other industries, so I won't comment on it.

For a long time, entertainment industry is ignored by the government. I think we can learn something from South Korea so that it becomes a great export."

"MGNAREGA and SWADES. Congress says you copied their scheme and just changed the name. As for Right to Information, RTI, even the name is same in manifestos. Many have even called you copycat. Why did you do that?"

"Both of them are different.

In MGNAREGA, Congress just promises 100 days of employment in villages. How? Will the money even reach the people? You ask anyone in Congress. They wouldn't be able to answer about how it will benefit the villagers in the long run. Roads can only be built for so long.

In SWADES, we have the basic formula done already. We won't give people the fish. We will teach them to catch the fish, breed it for multiplying the fish, teach them how to make various dishes with the fishes that will gradually grow exponentially so that the villagers aren't dependent on the government for filling their stomachs for 100 days a year, but they will be even able to buy themselves TV on their own as time passes.

Under SWADES, pipelines will be built so that people don't have to rely on water tanker or drying wells. Drip irrigation technique will be introduced which will solve the water problem. Biogas and mass will reduce the dependency of expensive fertilizers significantly, and even reduce the polluting chemicals in our food.

And most importantly, bio-gas is going to provide the villagers free and cleaner cooking fuel. They won't need to depend on expensive LPG that we have to import, or cutting wood. Their expenses will only go down. We will also put a cap on the interests that private lenders charge. Which I just don't understand why it hasn't been implemented yet.

And they will also receive education about things like farming, sewing, etc.

And as the biogas production will increase, someday it will be used in automobiles as well. I request Bajaj, TVS, Hero Honda, Tata, and every automobile company to start researching on how to make Biogas usable in cars, bikes, autorickshaws, scooties, etc.

Every constituency will be getting manufacturing industries of one product. Some will get toys, some will cell phones, some will computers, some will screens, Bengaluru will be getting semiconductor and chip manufacturing, and our manufacturing output will increase manufold, eventually employing more people than agriculture.

And air pollution will get worse despite not concentrating everything in one or two cities. As metros and bullet trains are built, the need for cars and planes will decrease, but not disappear. Automobiles are only going to grow as our economy grows. So, its best if we slowly phase out petrol and diesel for cleaner fuels like bio-gas and solar cells.

Pollution needs to be controlled afterall. So I suggest companies to start researching on such fields.

That's how much we have planned the SWADES scheme. In MGNAREGA, they will just have people build rough roads which will get destroyed in monsoon, and do the same thing all over again and again.

Moreover, the middlemen and the Congress party will eat the majority of the money.

We are going to open every adults' bank account for 1 rupee. Middleman corruption will be gone. Everything will come directly to the bank account. It will have proper record, so in case someone does injustice to you, you will be able to easily get justice.

From what I found, in most of the government schools, principal takes huge part of the staff's salary, both teaching and non-teaching.

We aren't just shooting in the air. We are promising what we will deliver, and how we will do it."

"What's the difference in RTI of Congress and BP?"

"Congress's RTI won't allow us to obtain information about political parties. We won't know from where they are receiving money. How much black money they are using.

In our RTI, all political parties, big or small will come under it. And I did not copy it. I was the one who proposed it 10-11 years ago."

"Our Question Hour segment is going to start now. We have received many questions. 20,531 to be exact combining SMS and emails.

Now, as you can see on the screen, it is a randomiser program on our computers. The code is present on the side. This program will pick up a random question. So I, or anybody doesn't have any control over which question is picked first.

Computer ji. Present us the first question."

'I am Mukesh Kumar. I am 26 year old engineer from Mumbai. Will you marry me?'
