3 Carrying out an impossible mission

Gary sent his cousin, Candy, to trap the president's child. Candy was sent to Stanford High School to befriend Paula Jacobs.

Paula Jacobs is the daughter of the current president, Luis McConnell Jacobs. She is a cheerful girl with a generally spoiled nature. Since her father became president, Paula has felt constrained and stressed, although she does not show this in public. At seventeen years old, standing at 175 cm tall, with long brown hair, and a love for branded items, she always wore her uniform in a way that looked sexy.

"Paula." A teacher called out to the girl now carrying a stack of books in her hands. She turned and smiled upon seeing who had called her.

"Yes, Mrs. Bella?" Paula responded, glancing at another girl wearing the same uniform as hers.

"Meet Candy. She's in the same class as you. Please take her to your class and be a good friend to her," said the teacher, introducing Candy to Paula.

"Sure, Mrs. Bella." Paula smiled and looked at Candy. "Come on, follow me!"

Paula and Candy walked together to the class, and during the walk, Paula kept glancing at Candy from head to toe. Candy had successfully caught Paula's attention, wearing all high-end branded items.

"What do your parents do for a living?" Paula asked curiously, intrigued by Candy.

"They are just the CEOs of Camerro Group," Candy replied modestly. She also smiled at Paula, feeling that her plan was working.

'So she's from a wealthy family. Camerro is a big company in America, and she says just?' Paula thought to herself.

"What's wrong? Don't you want to be friends with me after knowing what my parents do?" Candy asked, showing a sad and pleading face.

"Oh, no. Of course, I want to be friends with you. During lunch break, join me. I usually sit alone in the canteen. If you want, I'll save a spot for you." Paula wasn't very fond of the friendships at that school.

"Of course, thank you, Paula." Candy felt happy knowing that Paula was easy to influence.

They entered the class and attended the lessons. Candy was irritated because she had to be a schoolgirl now. Her brain was too genius for this school.

Candy Burchard was a thirty-five-year-old woman. However, her face and physique looked like a seventeen-year-old girl. She consumed Younglin, a powder-shaped drug packaged in capsules to make it easier to consume. She could only take two capsules a year. Of course, this drug had side effects if taken in excess. She had made the drug herself and used her body as an experiment. Fortunately, her experiment was successful, although it had some drawbacks.

Candy sat right next to Paula, which was lucky for her because she could easily interact with the president's daughter. Paula was always guarded wherever she went. Even now, there were two bodyguards standing at the classroom door. Additionally, guards were stationed in every corridor and several places. Taking Paula away would be a difficult task for Candy.

"Hey, do you have time after school?" Candy asked Paula, pretending not to care about the security around her friend.

"Why? You can see the security around me. Without my dad's permission, I can't go anywhere." Paula rolled her eyes, seemingly annoyed with Candy's question, though the situation was obvious.

"Alright, there's a lunch break after this. You'll still eat with me, right?" Candy asked to make sure.

"Of course." Candy sighed in relief at Paula's answer. Sure enough, during the lunch break, they went to the canteen together. They sat in a private room with red sofas and luxurious dishes on the table. Paula sat first and then patted the sofa for Candy to sit beside her.

"Okay, I'm very interested in you," Paula said enthusiastically.

Candy widened her eyes. "What?" she exclaimed.

"Oh, you must have misunderstood. I'm interested in everything you're wearing. You know how hard it was to get those earrings you're wearing," Paula took a breath and continued, "how did you get them?"

"They were a gift from my parents." Candy's answer made Paula want to be even closer to her.

"I even had trouble ordering them at the time, and ..." Paula's words trailed off as she watched Candy take off her earrings.

"Here, for you," Candy said effortlessly.

Paula widened her eyes and took the earrings. "Don't joke with me! These earrings are very expensive, do you know that?"

"Yes, of course, I know. I can ask my parents for another pair if I want, because my father's company makes the earrings you so desire." Candy smiled lightly, as if getting such specially designed jewelry was easy.

Candy's explanation left Paula stunned. She didn't expect to find a friend on her level. While enjoying the food, Candy managed to extract important information from Paula. The girl revealed that the president would hold a press conference, which would reduce Paula's security. If Paula was usually guarded by twenty people in a day, tomorrow she would only be guarded by five.

"Hey, are you sure about giving me these earrings?" Paula asked again. Feeling like she had received another valuable item, Paula was very grateful for Candy's gift.

"If you want a new one, tomorrow I'll take you to my dad's place to see the production directly." Again, Paula widened her eyes perfectly upon hearing Candy's words.

The Coloumbia Diamond Earrings are among the most expensive earrings ever. They are only produced upon request, weighing 23.34 carats, and priced at 65 billion. The manufacturing company belongs to Hunt, currently managed by his trusted people.

After the day ended, Candy reported everything she had learned to Gary—her cousin. She also told Gary that she would bring Paula the next day.

"Hey, don't forget to give me my share!" Candy said to Gary on the phone.

"I won't forget, Candy. Don't whine like a child to me. You know this job is the stupidest thing I've ever done for Griffith. He's really acting up this time." Gary expressed his frustration to Candy about Hunt, whom he considered very childish.

"Alright, don't mess things up before I manage to take her to the border!" Candy warned Gary about her plan.

The next day, Candy waited for Paula in the school lobby. They walked together to class.

"Hey, did you get permission to visit my dad's company?" Candy asked excitedly as they walked to class.

"Of course, but my five bodyguards still have to come along." Paula looked happy but felt uneasy mentioning her bodyguards.

"They can come, for your safety, Paula." Paula smiled, and now they were sitting at their desks. This time, Paula was very interested in the ring Candy was wearing. One easy way to get Paula close to her was to look luxurious.

"Is that also from your parents?" Paula asked, pointing at Candy's ring.

"No, it's from my boyfriend. If you want, my boyfriend made this for me. I can ask him to make one for you too," Candy explained, deliberately to entice Paula.

Paula's smile widened, feeling like she was looking at a goldmine. She wouldn't let go of Candy easily, even though Paula had wealth from her parents. However, she also liked to play the stock market without her parents knowing. Despite her seemingly cold nature towards others, Paula had a spoiled side she only showed to a few close people.

It was three o'clock in the afternoon, and they were now ready to go to the place Candy had promised. Paula told her bodyguards to follow her from behind since Candy drove her own car to school. Initially, the bodyguards refused, but Paula promised them several million each.

Paula was quite stunned to see a silver car driven by Candy. The Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is the fastest and most expensive car in the world, priced at 68 billion. Yes, Candy could easily get that car.

"Hey, how rich is your family?" Paula asked, feeling that Candy was too easily flaunting her family's wealth.

"You'll be surprised if you know. Anyway, what's the point of wealth if it all belongs to the parents?" Candy explained, making Paula nod.

Candy drove towards the United States-Canada border. Derby Line, Vermont, is the border between the US and Canada, marked by a longitudinal line. Paula's bodyguards were no longer visible, which Paula did not notice. Paula only felt that the place they were going to was too far.

"Hey, isn't this going to Derby Line?" Paula asked.

"You're right, little princess," Candy replied, now taking off her hair extension.

"Oh my… are you kidnapping me? Who are you really?" Paula asked casually, without fear or panic.

"Alright, you're right. Who am I? You already know me, so don't ask again. Aren't you scared?" Candy felt something was odd about Paula. The girl didn't even scream or ask for help from anyone, including her bodyguards.

"Why be scared? I'm happy that someone managed to kidnap me. So far, the criminals have just been a bunch of idiots." Paula really showed another side of herself.

"Ah, I see. You look cunning now, I like it. And just so you know, don't feel like we're the same age." Candy emphasized to Paula about the age gap between them.

Paula laughed, she couldn't believe Candy was that old. If the woman said she was still twenty, Paula would believe it. After all, Candy truly had the face of a young woman.

"I'm quite surprised by the efforts you made to bring me. But, aren't you afraid the presidential guards will

find me?" Paula was very confident about the president's security.

They arrived at a luxurious house. A house with a large yard and surrounded by artificial forests. Candy got out of the car with Paula, seeing Gary standing at the entrance with his arms crossed. Candy pulled Paula's hand to walk towards Gary.

"Your order has arrived, I want to rest. You take care of the kid yourself."

Paula glared at Gary, and the man just smiled, welcoming Paula.

"Welcome, Miss Paula. Please come in and rest first," Gary said, inviting Paula into the house.

Paula walked into the luxurious house, seeing a large living room with a classic style. Gary took Paula to his office, where he would explain about Hunt later.
