Darius' POV

"You cannot fire Thessa. She didn't poison your girlfriend!"

"My *wife*...!"

Once again, Zain and I are at each other's throats. But I know it was Thessa who poisoned her. It *had* to be.

"Right. And let me guess—you think my girlfriend also pushed Allison into the lake? Dressed as a *man*?" Zain scoffs, tilting his chin up. "Do you even hear yourself?"

But I don't care if it makes sense to him. Rage clouds my vision. Thessa was at the club with Allison. She kept feeding her drinks, pouring shot after shot. She could have slipped something in—no, she *must* have.

"Get that *bitch* out of my house, or I swear to God, I'll do it myself," I snarl, my voice razor-sharp.

Zain lets out a breathy laugh, shaking his head. "She's going nowhere. We own this house *together*—"
