Chapter 2

Aria's eyes were glued to the TV screen as the music band performed live. "Come on, Isabelle, it's live on TV!" she called out to her younger sister. But before Isabelle could respond, their mom swiftly turned off the TV. "Isabelle, go to school," she reminded her.

Aria saw an opportunity to plead her case. "Mom, it's a music band, and they're performing live! I want to go to music school, and I found one in New York that's perfect. They even offer a huge scholarship, almost a million dollars!"

Her mom's expression turned stern, and Aria knew she had to convince her. "For the past ten years, you've been working so hard, doing multiple jobs. Aren't you tired, Mom? Please let me handle this. Dad left us, and I want to make you proud."

Aria's voice cracked as tears welled up in her eyes. Her mom's resolve began to weaken, and she sat down, her own eyes brimming with tears. "You know how that place is, Aria. It's competitive and challenging. I don't know if you can handle it."

But Aria was determined. She broke into tears, her body shaking with emotion. "Please, Mom, just let me try."

Her mom stood up, a mix of sadness and resolve on her face. "Fine, next week you'll be leaving for New York."

Aria's face lit up with excitement as she hugged her mom tightly. "Thank you, Mom!"

As Aria rushed to her room, her mom whispered to herself, hoping that everything goes well. With a heavy heart, she headed to her office, wondering what the future held for her daughter.

In New york

(In the music school, Allison decided to select a new member for the team. The head of the music school Mrs Anita and Mr Steven, assigned that everyone in the school, including the boys band, will join in selecting a new member for the team, Leah decided to go get her makeup done, Their lead singer Emily who lost her voice, and couldn't sing anymore, left the school, Allison felt that the opportunity for her to become the lead singer is near soon, a week before the concert, Allison met with Jack the evening)

As soon as Allison called out to Jack, he strode towards her with a smile, his eyes shining with affection. They shared a tender kiss, their lips lingering together before they pulled back, beaming at each other. "I've missed you," Allison whispered, her voice barely audible.

Jack wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. "I've missed you too," he replied, his voice filled with emotion. "But I have some news to share. I've been assigned to welcome the new contestants joining our team, and get this - the boys and girls bands are merging!"

Allison's eyes widened in excitement. "That's amazing! We'll get to see each other all the time!"

Jack chuckled, pulling her close again. "I was thinking the same thing." Just as he was about to kiss her again, Allison let out a loud shriek, pretending someone was behind him. Jack jumped back, looking around in confusion, before realizing he'd been pranked. They both burst out laughing.

"I have to go now, duty calls," Jack said, grinning. "But I'll see you later, okay?"

Allison smiled, her eyes sparkling. "Alright, see you later." With one last glance, Jack turned and walked away, leaving Allison to wonder what the future held for their merged bands.

In the hall

Sophia's frustration simmered as she gathered the team in the hall. "You all know why I called this meeting," she began, her voice laced with accusation. "Allison's been manipulating us, and you're all just letting her get away with it. She's the reason Emily quit, and now she's going to be the lead singer?"

Leah stood up for Allison, her voice firm. "Sophia, you're just jealous. Allison has been with this team for three years, and she deserves the lead spot. This is a competition, and we can't pretend it's not."

Ivy glanced at her watch, seemingly uninterested in the conflict. "I have a date with James tonight, so I'll leave you all to discuss this further." She departed, leaving the tension thick in the air.

Leah turned to her boyfriend, Leo, and smiled. "We should practice our song together later." Leo nodded, and they left the hall hand in hand.

Sophia's words still lingered, and Sophia felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes. Andrew approached her, his expression kind. "Hey, you okay?"

Sophia nodded, trying to hold back tears. "Thanks, Andrew. You're always here for me."

Andrew smiled. "Anytime, sophia. You know that."

As Andrew left the hall, tears streaming down her face, she thought to herself, knowing that only Andrew understands her.
