The Next Day★
I sluggishly opened my eyes as I stretched out.....I literally heard some crackling sound coming from my joints as I widened my arms..... definitely a yawn followed as I looked around....the room was empty... just me and my tired self
Jayson didn't spend the night with me, so much for a wedding night
I wonder where he slept, is this how I'm going to get him to fall in love?
Maybe I should stop constantly reminding myself that I'm here on a mission and just flow with the energy.
I stood up as I wore my flipflops and head for the bathroom.....done in ten minutes as I wore my robe.
My nightie is pretty transparent and....well he's a man.....of course he's going to feel something even though he acts tough
I walked down the stairs and my stomach rumbled.....damn I'm a cook and I can't stay hungry when there's a kitchen
I entered the kitchen and paused immediately my feet walked in...why is he here?
Jayson stood straight..... resting his hands on the counter as he looked out the small window in front of the kitchen sink.
I couldn't move..... maybe it's because I'm nervous and maybe it's also because I've haven't gotten over yesterday's kiss
It was marvelous.... breathtaking.....I can't describe it but it was blissful and the way he held me?..... nah, I can't get over that feeling any time soon.... it's stuck in the brain, the senerio keeps playing over and over again in my head like a faulty radio track.
" Are you done staring?" His cold voice broke my thoughts as I blinked repeatedly..... regaining myself and walked towards the sink
"You think you are worth staring at?" I asked and he looks down at me.... guessing from his height....he might be 6'4 or 6'5..... that's pretty tall huh?, and I'm just 5'4.....more of an average human being
I suddenly felt intimidated by the way he was staring down at me.....our bodies were pretty close and a slight bump would make us touch...I stylishly backed up a little
"I saw you, you were pretty lost in my charms" he said as each word vibrated out of his mouth.....his voice is deep..... just as he is huge, he's putting on a tank top and his muscles are.....are.....I don't even know how to explain it but he's worth staring at actually
Yeah, I admit it.... don't judge me!
"You are so full of yourself, that stinks!" I almost snapped....the fact that he's right irritated me, I'm the one on the mission and he should be lost in my charms....not the other way round
"So you agree that I'm hot" he blurted out and I almost choked
"You are not!" I retorted and he moved closer.....I furrowed my eyebrows immediately and backed up but he won't stop moving
"I want you to look at me in the eye and tell me that I'm not..... don't stutter" he said almost in a whisper and my lips parted slightly....I moved backwards but felt something strong stopping me.....it took a minute for me to realize that I'm backing the wall..... and he's so close I couldn't breathe
"You...are not" I managed to say....I tried not to stutter...but I guess I'm too stunned to control myself, don't blame me though.... for fûcks sakes have you seen him?
I tried moving out of the way but he placed his hand on the right side.... trapping me completely as I gulped down emptiness.....I could barely maintain eye contact
"You stuttered....that means I'm right" he said and moved closer.....our breathes fanning each other hotly as my stupid mind drifted off to yesterday's kiss...oh not now!
I can't possibly be thinking about that, not when he's so close to me.....I might end up just.....urgh! no this isn't right
"Let me go"
"Why?.....are you nerve-racking that I might kiss you?" He asked as he stared at me and I managed to look back at him and damn I shouldn't have because now.....I can't look away
He's literally hovering me.....his hands still trapping me in the middle and there's no way out on the other side
"You can't kiss me" I said boldly and a slight smrik displayed on his lips as he tilted his head a little
"You are my wife anyways.....I can do more than kissing" he said coming closer and I hinted a smug in his eyes
Wasn't he the same person that told me not to come close to him?..... and now I'm trapped in his loop
Maybe I should play along and see where this goes but nah..... what if we end up having.....hell no!....I didn't sign up for that!
"So?, just because we're married doesn't give you the right to kiss me without my permission!..." I snapped and maybe I shouldn't have because that got to him and he grabbed me roughly, my air passage got blocked abruptly.... shoving the remaining words down my throat as he didn't give me anytime to react..... pressing his lips against mine with ease
My hands on his chest subconsciously clutching onto the hem of his tank top as he sinked deeply.....I subconsciously found myself opening up to him..... giving him more access as he took control... diving his tongue deeper, exploring every inch of my mouth in seconds
Maybe I wanted this.....the feeling of yesterday mixing with today's?, sending different waves down my spine as pressed me tightly.....he was he control, I should be the one in control... what's happening?
The door bell made him groan in my mouth as he paused....I didn't bother to push him off as he made to go at it again and the door bell rang almost immediately...he opened his eyes....his grip lossening on me as I finally got the chance to breathe properly
I managed to free myself from his grip as he smriked down at me... backing up
"I will go get it...." I muttered without making eye contact as I walked towards the door.....my mind is still messy as I opened the door and Mika jumped in..... hugging me tightly, I smiled into the hug as I hugged her back
"Bîtch!.....I can't believe you live here now!" She goshed and I mentally rolled my eyes
"I can't believe it too" I said and she laughed... looking at me as she suddenly frowned
"What?, is there something on my face?" I asked.... touching my face
"What happened to your lips?, They're so red....did you eat anything?" She asked I felt my cheeks rise up in embarrassment
"Nothing happened.....stop asking weird questions" I said in a hush tone and she raised an eyebrow teasingly
"And you expect me to believe you?, Where's your husband?" She asked and it took me a minute to realize that I'm actually a married woman now
"Don't call him that" I managed to say as we both sat down
"But you guys are married and you look exhausted.....I bet last night was fun, eeh?" she said teasingly and I rolled my eyes
"Nothing happened last night" I said and she smiles with a teasing look
"Ohhhh, you mean to tell me you both slept on the same bed, without doing anything?" She asked and I found myself staring at her with a surprise shock
"Mika, nothing happened.... and nothing will happen" I said and we heard footsteps behind as Jayson walked out with an apple in his hands....he bites from it and nod at Mika slightly before walking up the stairs
Mika grinned sheepishly as she waved at him before facing me
"Bîtch, if he wasn't your husband now, I swear to God I would have tried stealing him, he's so attractive" Mika said and I laughed slightly
"Who's stopping you from taking your shot?" I asked with a smirk and she gasped
"Are seriously saying I can seduce him?, because that'll be great.....oh my goodness!" She said with a sequel as she kicks at feet in the air
"Don't you dare...." I suddenly said with a playful glare and she bursted out into laughter.....
"I'm just joking.....but he looks a lot like someone I know" she said thoughtfully and I nod
"Jasper.....he looks like the older version of Jasper, I just can't help but feel like they are related...they are both secretive, they hardly talk and they also keep to themselves..... that's odd" I said as I started trying to put my two and two together
"Well, maybe we are just over thinking it, hey!....I gotta be at work in an hour, so make me something to eat" she said as she sprawled on the couch and turned on the TV
"Seriously?, fine I will see what's in the kitchen" I mumbled and she smiles
"Yeah, you are a married woman now so go cook..... you know my allergies so becareful while you are at it" she said and I paused just before I got to the kitchen
"I've heard you, Mom" I said sarcastically and she chuckles
"Get me a soda!!!" she yells from the living room and I cussed
"Fùck you!" I yelled back and I could hear her laughing heartily

Roland was done in the kitchen when he checked the time, Jasmine is definitely not coming to work again because she's now married to a billionaire and well.....who cares about Mika?
He stepped out and sat in front of the counter, bringing out his phone when the glass door opened and Delilah.....she smiled immediately her eyes caught Roland and walked up to him
"Good morning Rolly" she called and he smiles..... did she just call him Rolly?
"Delilah?, Good morning..... how are you?" He asked and she smiles brightly..... staring at him while dropping her hand bag
"Super..... and I'm sure you are fine?" She asked and he nods
She rested her weight on the counter and he dropped his phone
"So what brings you by?, fry food?.....well not cooked though because Jasmine isn't here anymore, it will take us some time to find someone has good as her" Roland said and Delilah furrows her eyebrows
"So she doesn't work here anymore and y'all need someone else as replacement?" Delilah asked curiously
"Yeah..... I'm already missing her.... she's the light of this place" Roland said with a pout
"You two must be really close friends" she asked and he smiled at her
His smile is super cute, she hasn't seen nothing like that before
"We are really close friends.....with that been said, what can I offer you?" He asked as he stood up
"You....." she trails and he chuckled
"Very funny" he said and she raised an eyebrow
"I'm serious" she furthered and he stopped smiling as he looked at her
Is she seriously flirting with him?
"I'm just joking!...you seems to take everything so serious" she suddenly said while laughing and he sighed in relief
What a funny joke; he thought as her laughter subsided
"I will have a scoop of ice cream cone for now...then I will think of what to order later" she said and he smiled.... walking away as her gaze landed on his phone
She smiled to herself as she took it and tapped the screen twice..... immediately a picture of him holding a dog displayed on the lock screen wallpaper and she didn't hold back the pout that formed instantly
"Woah... you look super handsome in this picture" she said as he appeared with her order
He furrows his eyebrows as he took his phone from her and stared at it
This picture was taken some months ago when he, Mika and Jasmine went out and the dog belonged to end elderly woman
He clearly remembered how Mika laughed at him mockingly and said he looked like a chicken dipped in hot water
"You really think this picture is good?" He asked before he could stop himself and she licked from her cone
"It's looks perfect..... hundred percent perfect" she said and he smiles before realizing it
The glass door opened and Mika walked in with a two sodas and vinegar chips she forcefully took from Jasmine
The small smile on her face vanished as she saw Roland smiling at a girl...she didn't know why but she felt somehow seeing the both of them smiling at each other
Delilah turned and saw Mika still standing firmly on her spot
"Who's that?" Delilah asked and Roland looked up and saw Mika as well
"She's just a colleague...we work together" he simply said and Mika's jaw almost dropped
Just a colleague?.....not even friend?
Why does it even bother her?
Mika started walking when Delilah's voice stopped her
"Hey....." Delilah waved and she she turned sharply..... glaring at her before walking away
Delilah faced Roland with a questioning look and he shrugged his shoulders
Mika shut the kitchen with a loud bang as she drops everything on her hand.... she looks at the two sodas and hissed in irritation
"Why do I even care that he's talking to her?..... rubbish" she mutters as she grabbed one of the sodas and throws it in the trash can
"He doesn't deserve a soda" she countered as she sat on the kitchen counter..... opening her's and takes a sip from it
The laughter of Roland and Delilah filled her ears she could clearly hear them
She throws her soda away in irritation as she covers her face with both hands
✨Jayson's Pov ✨
Thank God there's a study room for my work activities.....at first I didn't notice there was another room at the far end from the main room
Why would Mom do this to me? and I didn't want to think much about what happened earlier
Just this morning and I know exactly what her breath taste like... what's going to happen if we continue staying together?..... alone?....in this big cold mansion?
I sighed as I made to enter the study when I bumped into Jasmine.....she was coming out of the room and I furrows my eyes
The fact that our little make out session hasn't cleared away from my mind and it's still stuck in my brain still hunts me and now she's here.....in my study room?... what's she up to?
"What are you doing here?" I asked coldly and she looks up at me.....her brown orbs glistening as she crossed her hands together
"Nothing.... it's none of your business" she mumbles and made to leave but I blocked her path
"You are snooping around in my study room...I have every right to ask" I retorted and she sighs
"I got curious okay, I know you said I should stay outta your way and I'm sorry.....I won't bother you again" she said and shake my head
"I don't like anyone interfering in my personal space, stay away from this room, don't ever enter in here without my permission" I said and she furrows her eyebrows in confusion
She stared at me from head to toe before rolling her eyes.....that made me slightly annoyed.....why would she look down on me?
I will have to pin her down earlier than I thought because she needs to be taught a lesson
"Whatever you say..... ugly Jay" she said and walked away as I stood stunned
Did she just realized what she said?
Ugly Jay is the nickname my Jasmine usually calls me and she just randomly said it...am I over thinking this?
My phone started ringing and I walked into my study..... it's a call from Noah
"What goes on?" I said as I shut the door
There were neatly arranged books on the shelf, a big table with a laptop and a swing chair
The room is an open space and on the left side was a couch
"Bad things I tell you... I'm just receiving information from the airport" he said in a panicked voice and that made me worried
"What is it?" I asked as my ears itched to know what happened
"I just got a call....that Mandy just arrived and she's at the airport!" He said and my smile vanished as I ruffled my hair in shock
She really wasn't joking when she said she would come?
"What?" I asked, unable to believe what I just heard
NEVADA AIRPORT★
The buzzingly as different people tried to get in and out of the airport made her sigh in irritation
Taking off her glasses as she finally got away from the crowd
It's been years and she inheals deeply... taking in the fresh air that comes with the troubles of Nevada
"Mandy!!..... I'm so happy to see you!" Gina's shrill voice made her turn as they both hugged each other tightly
"I'm more than happy to see you.... Gina, look at you!" She goshed as they hear towards the car
"You look amazing and I'm sure Jayson wouldn't be able to take his eyes off you" Gina said excitedly and she smriks
"I heard his married to some slût" she said as her eyes darkened..... looking at no one in particular
The thought of Jayson being married made her angry
"Well.....he got married yesterday" Gina said and Mandy smiled
"Well.....it wouldn't be a bad idea to pay them a visit now, would it?" She said and Gina frowned a little
"Mom won't let anyone go see them" Gina huffed and that made Mandy smile
That old witch is trying to ruin what she has taken years to build?.....hell no!
"Lets see about that" she said as they entered the car and drove off in a high speed
