I was still in awe of how swiftly Aiden had handled the issue without any hiccups. I guess he was really the Alpha male everyone believed him to be.
As soon as we stepped out into the cool night air, he let go of my arm. I was surprised he held onto it for that, but it was great to have my hand back. Feeling eternally grateful, I turned to thank him, but the words died on my lips when I saw his expression. It wasn’t exactly friendly.
