DINNER AT THE CLUB

CHAIRMAN ARMAND'S POV

I watched Eli leave my office and saw the smile on his face as he glanced back and stared at me. I stood for a while, rubbing my lips, and relished the kiss we had just shared. It was a while before I walked back to my chair and slid down. The hum of the city outside was a distant murmur as I leaned back in my office chair, the rich leather creaking slightly under my weight. It was almost time for the planned dinner with Eli's Uncle Sean Edins and a part of me wanted to ensure that everything was still on track.

I picked up my phone, my fingers instinctively dialing the familiar number, and as the line began to ring, I felt a slight flutter of anticipation, a blend of excitement and reassurance. It was not just about confirming plans; it was the first step in ensuring Eli was protected and keeping him happy beside me.

After a few rings, his voice came through, warm and familiar. "Hello?"
