Unique pain

We face challenges every single day, it either destroy us or build us and we are the one to determine what is the outcome of each challenges. Every pain and joy we felt during every single challenges is unique and no matter how u simplify it to someone they can't comprehend it like you do. Because every single pain and joy is unique so are the Lessons learnt. Why should we run away from challenges? If we fail then we stand up, if we win then we proceed to next level. Everyone faces challenges irrespective of your age, societal status, financial status and so on. And not all story has a happy ending.

She woke up at exactly 2:35:34 p.m with strong headache, seems like she was lost in thought and ultimately fell asleep, her phone rang, she picked, it was her friend, Samuel. He called to check on her, as he usually does. She once thought of dating him, but not all her mind wants him and besides there is a barrier standing as a wall between them that can't make them more than friend. The conversation on the phone is always longer than when they see each other physically. They talked about something that happened to them, either good or bad, they rejoice together and grieve together. The call ended, she stood up to the kitchen to perform ablution and pray. She was on the last stage of the prayer when she heard her name, LAYLA! LAYL! LAYLA!

Fortunately for her she was at the last stage, she hurriedly end the prayer and answered to her mother's call.

YES MAMA, she screamed.

Won't you do laundry today? Today is Sunday, your laundry day. She asked.

I know mama, *mi yahi mama.

She stood up to the bed and was deep in thought again.

She knew verily without being told that being lost in the thought could cause harm to the body, but she can't restrict her self from it. She believed the only place she could get her self from this cruel reality is by imagining all the wonderful things she wants. She could stay more 2 hours just by thinking of having wonderful children, husband that cares and loves her so much so as their children. She always visit the wonderful world every single opportunity she has.

Her eyes were closed, her breathing was normal, in one word she was reclining but also deep in thought.

She eventually stood up but time was far spent to do the laundry. Her mother gave up on tell'n her to do the laundry since she make no attempt to do so. Dinner was set but the food was yet to be dished. It is very common in some part of the country to finish cooking before it is time to eat. Some people eat dinner and skip super while some eat super and skip dinner. But in her family, super is the main focus. Her mom has ulcer, so she prefers to eat at night to aid her to sleep. She was done eat'n around 10 Pm when she received another call from her friend, this time it is Bashir, her best friend since secondary school. He asked after her boyfriend, Ibrahim. Ibrahim is layla's boyfriend, she loved him so much but she felt something that makes her not want to give her all in the relationship. How is he? He asked.

Who? She replied.

Why do you always answer questions with questions? He asked

Says someone that just replied my question with another question? Bashir,to tell you the truth, we broke up today(with a low voice enough to indicate she is sad).

She said

What (with a surprised tone)? You broke up with him or he broke up with you? Besides you guys are yet to understand each other. He said,

No, you are getting it mixed up, he doesn't understands me, but I do understands him, he jump into conclusion, never say sorry even when he is wrong. Look, I have a feeling he is two-timing now. She said

Two-timing? Wow (he couldn't say any other word before she added)

Yes he is. Let's postpone this discussion please. She added.

It is all right. I just wanted to hear your voice, it's been a while we spoke. He said

Yes it is. Thanks for checking on me. She said

Lay, u said u felt, you didn't caught him in the act try to calm down. He added

You don't understand, we women know and feel it when our man cheats, if anybody should tell us, that will confirm our thoughts. But I do not need any confirmation from anybody. He said I am not romantic, and he could ask either jolade or hanna for sex if he wishes and they would be will'n to give him amd even beg for more from him. What more do I need to confirm my thoughts. She said,

Why sounding like a siren? I didn't tell him the reason I broke up, I just block him and all. We never had a fun time together without him asking, "when will you send ur nude pictures to me?"

It is so irritating and infuriating to think of what he has done to me for the past 3 years. She added
