"Marry me"Damian said firmly without throwing caution to the air, his expression showed he was not joking"

"The fuck?" Sophie gasped, her eyes widened

Who the fuck get married on their first date???

Sophie could feel Damian gaze on her as she had lowered her eyes ever since Damian brought up the topic of marriage, she just couldn't wrap her head around it, getting married has never cross her mind even though she want it to be her last date settling down has never cross her mind for a splitting seconds

"I know you're been pressurised to get married, I also need a bride urgently, let's have a contract marriage and after three years we will divorce" Damian explained calmly

Sophie look up and stare at Damian, the man is really interesting, how can he propose marriage as if he's proposing a business, she let out a chuckle and Damian look at her weirdly

"What's funny?" He asked and Sophie smile widely and fuck the smile look so captivating and enchanting that Damian was lost for some minutes

"You're quite interesting, let's get married " Sophie said, she had give it a minute thought and truly she had nothing to lose. It is just a flash marriage and they will get divorced sooner or later. The man also seem like a decent and responsible guy

"Okay,let's meet at the public bureau tomorrow" Damian said and Sophie nodded lightly with a smile

"I'm getting married" Sophie announced as soon as she entered her parent mansion, her junior brother who seem engrossed in his phone look up and chuckle lightly

"Are you suddenly quiting jewelry design to become a clown "Dylan, her junior brother asked dramatically as he sized her up and down with a scrutinising gaze. Sophie hissed loudly and gave him her middle finger

Dylan doesn't seem to care as he was more interested in finding out about the blind date and wouldn't try to upset his sister if he want to get some clue about the date

"You're suddenly getting married I guess the date goes well" Dylan said with a wink

"Where is dad and mum?" Sophie asked pretending as if she didn't hear what Dylan just said

"They are in their room, I presume they heard you already and will soon be out but first, gist me about the date" Dylan said still eager to hear about the blind date

Just when Sophie decides to answer her brother, her parent came downstairs and they both sat together on a couch

"You're back, how was it?" Sophie mom, Lisa Fairmont asked

"Well I presume you heard me saying I'm getting married, so it went well " Sophie said and flaunt her hair dramatically

"I guess it is obvious the date went well but you don't have to come up with a dry joke to let us know you're satisfied with your date" Nathan Fairmont, Sophie father said

"Dry joke? What dry joke did I just cracked?" Sophie asked obviously confused

"The joke about marriage, you know, it is kinda funny" Lisa said and everyone except Sophie burst into laughter

"So y'all think I joking right?" Sophie asked perplexed

"If you said you're now in a relationship, it is still believable, you even talking about courtship is a little bit out of it not to talk of marriage, I so sure you're joking?" Dylan said trying to stifle his laughter

Sophie realised they non of them believed her and she knew she must explain for them to believe her. She sat on a nearby single seater facing her parent

"Well, I'm not joking, I'm really getting married, you guys have been pressurizing me to get married and now I'm getting married. You guys really think I'm joking right I'm not joking,I mean, you guys want me to get married and now I'm getting married " Sophie said trying to rush all our words

"Well I'm trying to believe you but this is quite unbelievable, I mean just drop this kind of dry joke let's face reality together"

"Believe me or not, tomorrow I'm getting married and that's it" Sophie announced she still couldn't believe the fact that her family did not believe that fact she's getting married, have they seen her as anti-marriage person for them to believe that she's joking

"You won't be the end of me" Dylan said and burst in to fresh laughter

Sophie shook her head and stand up from her sit, she headed upstairs but was stopped by her mother playful voice

"Where to,young lady" Lisa asked

"I guess this is my father's house and I have every right to stay here " Sophie said as she turned back to see her mother reaction but the older lady still has an amused expression on her face as if Sophie is the world biggest clown

"I thought you're married, shouldn't you be in your husband house" Dylan asked sarcastically

"Well dumbass, I'm getting married, I'm not married yet" Sophie replied hotly

"I'm sorry Mrs" Dylan said making sure the the Mrs sound so clear

"Annoying" Sophie muttered and storm upstairs

*The next day at the public bureau

Damian and Sophie already registered their marriage and they are outside the public bureau

"I'm heading to the office right now , I'll have someone drive you back to the mansion" Damian said

"Well I need to branch to my parent's house, that won't be advisable" Sophie said

"The driver would drive you to your parent's house and wait till you're done" Damian explained

"Okay" Sophie agreed immediately. She really need to meet that doubting Thomas of a family and let them know she really got married to the richest CEO in the country. They didn't even asked who her date was yesterday since they didn't even believe her

*Yes they must know she got married to Damian Harper
