Just Another Day

Two weeks passed. Dylan used the money that David gave him to buy food. He became a regular customer of Ala Cook due to their relatively cheap price. Not to mention, Dylan wants to improve his favorable points with the Asura General disguised as a cook.

It's already two weeks yet he hasn't even obtained 30+ points. One must understand that to get favorable points, one needs to be patient. It was a lot easier to establish a relationship with lower-level NPCs. The cook was a high-level one.

Although the cook interacts with him amiably on the surface. It wasn't easy to get the acknowledgment of someone who has Asura Soldier as a profession.

In these two weeks, Dylan didn't do anything but complete F-E level tasks just to feed himself.

"Miles, are you finished yet?"

Dylan looked at his Savage Deer with a smile.

The Savage Deer was currently eating grass. He had already eaten two-thirds. This is an F-rank task to clean up the grass in the garden. The employer was just a well-off family that does business in the village.

From cleaning gardens, finding lost cats and dogs for the neighbor, to guarding a house. Dylan, with the assistance of his Savage Deer, accumulated a total of five hundred sixty-one copper coins. The food was already deducted and he even slept in a decent inn.

...

Dylan came out of the wooden door where people could be seen coming and going.

Above the entrance was a wooden board, "Denden Eoe Inn," where Dylan stayed. They provide simple wooden beds and a minimalist room. Each night costs just 10 copper coins.

As for the Savage Deer? It was still sleeping in the Inn.

At this time, Dylan only has 550 copper coins left. 'The boss of the Inn told me that the Gray Merchants are about to arrive. I need to prepare. At least, I need a decent sword and armor.'

Dylan hurriedly stopped a passerby. His eyes suddenly displayed annoyance and he had the urge to make a strategic retreat. "Fujo?"

The man, dressed in a black and white shirt and long-sleeved dark brown polo, turned his head. "Dylan? Fuck! You're actually staying at DenDen Eoe."

Dylan smiled warily. This man was the one that he got to know after he met him due to one of the E-difficulty quests about the periphery of the town. They patrolled for three days. There's nothing much to do so he could only converse with the talkative man in front of him. "Ahmm... I got something to do. So if you can excuse m-me."

"Wait!" Fujo hurriedly stopped Dylan. He hugged Dylan's feet. "I have an E-rank task. We just need to deliver a box to the church and we'll get a hundred copper!"

"Church?" At this moment, Dylan quickly looked around him with a cold expression. He kicked Fujo fiercely.

"Ouch!!"

Fujo coughed a mouthful of blood. With a shocked look, he immediately stood up; a knife appeared in his hands out of thin air.

Suddenly, his left arm vibrated along with the knife, and he was about to stab Dylan.

"M*therfucker! Damned traitor!" Dylan was already prepared. The church dared to send Fujo to sneak attack him!

Dylan was confused. When did they discover his disguise? How did they know it was him? Did they deliberately secretly arrange for Fujo to be with the same task as him before?

Dylan's whole body became lighter. With a side step, he evaded the knife. Fujo saw the speed at which Dylan moved. As light as a feather, as unpredictable as a leaf.

Fujo felt Dylan wasn't moving, but floating!

Suddenly, Dylan's silhouette became blurry. He flexibly moved around Fujo, bounding his feet to the ground like a boxer. This is the effect of Fly combined with a basic boxer footwork!

Dylan was now behind Fujo and sent him a flying kick on the neck. Fujo roared in pain; as he was about to turn around, Dylan held his two arms behind his back.

Dylan tilted his center of gravity, and threw his whole weight, then made Fujo's face kiss the ground with a loud bang.

It was a bloody scene.

The passerby fled. Some began to report to the guards to de-escalate the brawl.

"You're lucky I'm not in the mood to kill or you'll become a steamed bun by now... Are there others sent to kill me? How many and how strong are they?" Dylan felt his body become heavy as the fly skill reached its time-limit duration.

He kicked Fujo and broke one of his feet; the sound of bones cracking sounded along with a pig-like scream.

"Have mercy!!!"

Fujo didn't expect Dylan to be this ruthless and decisive. His sneak attack actually failed. He couldn't help but curse the church for giving wrong information. They told him that Dylan was just a regular guy and only relied on his tamed beast.

He planned for a time when Dylan wasn't with his Deer, and it came as he saw Dylan come out alone earlier. Who would have thought that Dylan was this agile and fierce!?

"Damn! Damn it! Goddamn it all!!!"

Fujo was aggrieved and he felt wronged. This is the church's fault.

"You won't talk? My patience is short. Don't wait for the guards to come or I'll boil you alive."

Hot visible steam began to come out from Dylan.

Fujo panicked at this moment. This is a skill! The man in front of him could actually use a skill!

"Do you dare to kill in town!?"

Dylan smirked coldly. "You're waiting... Buying time for the guards, hoping they would stop this and save you. But if I kill you now, at worst, they'll kick me out of this town. Do you think they would want to offend a man who could use a skill for a dead man? Who would care? This is just a small town."

Fujo swallowed. "The church won't let you go if you kill me."

Dylan gave Fujo a sarcastic smile. "And if I don't kill you? Would they let me go? Don't be naive. I'm not a fool. Even if I spare you, they'll still come after me and I'm not scared."

With a deep breath, Fujo smiled helplessly. "I don't want to implicate my family. The priest wants to silence you."

Just like that, Fujo revealed a black pill on the tongue. He bit it forcefully, and then, a few seconds later, he plopped to the ground lifelessly under Dylan's shocked gaze.
