Assassination Mission

The Winter Soldier was created by Hydra as a counterpart to Captain America's super soldier program.

Each Winter Soldier underwent the most brutal training and brainwashing by Hydra, which erased their emotions and memories.

When two Winter Soldiers saw that the bullets from the rifles had no effect on these monsters, they discarded their weapons after running out of ammo and charged forward.

*Bang! Bang!*

Before the two Winter Soldiers could even reach their target, they were thrown back by an immense force.

Their adversaries were the second generation of Lickers.

Although the second generation Lickers were powerless against the Hulk, they were no match for Winter Soldiers, who were only enhanced to two or three times the strength of an ordinary person.

These two Winter Soldiers were quickly impaled and torn apart by the Licker's tongue.

Seeing this, the surrounding Hydra agents quickly fled the scene.

Once the Licker saw that the enemies had disappeared, it also vanished into the streets.

Natasha and Barton exchanged glances.

"Umbrella saved us."

"Why? Why would they help us?"

"I don't know, maybe we should go find them."

At that moment, a Licker appeared in front of them and threw a note before leaving.

"Maria and Nick are at Tony's place."

Baron Zemo stared grimly at the screen displaying the footage sent by his subordinates.

The sudden appearance of these Lickers had completely disrupted his plans.

"Umbrella..." Zemo muttered.

A few days ago, he had attempted to contact Umbrella Corporation, but their management was so strict that they had refused him any access.

"If I can't cooperate with them, then I'll destroy them!"

After thinking for a moment, Zemo picked up the phone and began calling the politicians who were supposed to be his allies.

However, after several minutes, Zemo's expression darkened further as he hung up the phone.

Most of the politicians had refused him, unwilling to cross Umbrella, who had offered them more. The few that had agreed were insignificant, powerless figures with no real influence.

"Since I can't get them politically, I'll have to resolve this with force!"

He turned to the monitors, where a boy and a girl appeared.

The boy looked around twelve or thirteen, with silver hair, and his body appeared to move from one corner of the room to another at incredible speeds.

The girl, about ten years old, had red hair. She held a floating Rubik's Cube in one hand while dark red energy swirled around her.

These two were the reason Zemo had come to the Middle East in recent years.

"Their abilities will be useful to me. Once I have them, no one in the world will be able to stop me!"

That night, at the edge of New York~

Tony, Pepper, Banner, Nick, and Maria arrived at Tony's secluded villa.

Their previous one had been destroyed, so they had to find a new location.

After setting down their things, Tony removed his helmet. Though the energy from the Arc Reactor had kept him energized throughout the day, he could feel the effects of palladium poisoning worsening.

"This is my secret villa. The enemy won't find us here for a while."

He took out his monitoring device and checked his palladium levels. Sure enough, they had increased by 0.3 percent.

He immediately detached the Arc Reactor from his chest and connected it to a wire.

Meanwhile, Pepper and Banner were heading upstairs to set up their rooms, while Nick and Maria were securing the perimeter, placing pistols and rifles in various corners.

Half an hour later, the group reconvened.

*Knock knock...*

A sudden knock at the door.

"Who is it?"

Maria and Nick immediately grabbed their handguns and tightened their grips, looking toward Tony. Didn't he say they'd be safe for a while?

Tony shrugged.

"Don't worry. If they're knocking, they're probably not the enemy."

Even though he said this, he still donned his gauntlets and made his way to the door.

"Who is it?"

"It's us."

Hearing the familiar voice, Tony breathed a sigh of relief and opened the door.

Standing outside were Natasha and Barton.

Nick, hearing the voices, lowered his gun and quickly approached them, "How did you find us?"

"The people from Umbrella told us to come here."

Natasha quickly recounted the events of the morning. After hearing the story, Nick nodded and walked inside.

"Come in."

Maria, who was nearby, added, "It seems like Umbrella isn't our enemy after all."

The group exchanged information and devised a plan for tomorrow's mission. Several hours later, as it was getting late, they all went to bed.

In the middle of the night, Jarvis' voice suddenly echoed above them.

[Seven cars are heading towards this location. Be alert!]

At this, Natasha, Barton, Nick, and Maria quickly grabbed their weapons and went to the windows.

Tony, Pepper, and Banner also woke up immediately.

Pepper and Tony headed straight for the basement.

Pepper hid away while Tony donned the Arc Reactor and his armor.

After waiting for a while, there was no sign of movement outside. The enemy seemed to know they had been discovered, as the cars only parked in the distance, not making any attempt to attack.

A few minutes later, a low rumbling sound filled the air.

Natasha and Barton's faces turned pale.

"Careful! Helicopters!"

In the next moment, several rockets were fired.

*Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!*

A powerful explosion rocked the villa, setting it ablaze.

The helicopters hovered for a moment before one attempted to leave, but suddenly, a green figure leapt from the wreckage, crossing over a hundred meters, and landed on the helicopter.

The helicopter immediately became unstable.

The Hulk grabbed the chopper and used his brute strength to rip open the door, tossing several black-suited figures out of it.

"Ahh! Ahh!"

The sounds of their screams filled the air.

Moments later, the helicopter crashed. Seeing this, the other two helicopters quickly began firing rockets at the Hulk.

*Boom!*

But the Hulk ignored the rocket blasts and leapt again, only to be caught by a net fired from one of the helicopters.

The helicopter began flying towards the sea and released the net.

"Hulk!"

Soon, the Hulk plunged into the ocean, unable to resurface for the time being.
