HER TEARS

Astrid carefully placed the exquisite Rosemont Building model in a transparent, climate-controlled display case she had in her living room.

She stood before it, mesmerized, her eyes tracing the delicate curves and lines, just staring at it made her feel at ease.

Julian stepped behind her, "Why did you want this so badly, Astrid?" he asked, his voice low and gentle.

Astrid turned to face him, a hint of irritation in her eyes, she also couldn't tell why she needed it but one thing's for sure, she feels connected to it.

"I am not paying you back for this," she let out instead.

Julian chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I didn't expect you to," he said, pulling her closer. "But I will ask you something else."

Astrid's eyes narrowed, sensing a shift in the conversation. "What is it?" she asked, her voice cautious.

Julian's gaze locked onto hers, his expression serious. "What exactly is the relationship between Rowan and you?"
