Mattie looked around confused wondering how Astrid had suddenly appeared in her room.
"It must be an illusion," she thought, still not wanting to believe that Astrid was a real person standing before her.
She rubbed her hands over her eyes, wondering if she was hallucinating, but when she opened them again, Astrid was still standing there, a smirk playing on her lips.
Mattie's confusion gave way to fear as she stumbled backward, her eyes fixed on Astrid. "How did you get in here?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Astrid's smirk deepened, but she didn't respond. Instead, she took a step closer to Mattie enjoying the scene before her.
Mattie's eyes darted around the room, searching for an escape route, but Astrid was too quick. She quickly grabbed her hands, stopping her from running.
Mattie tried to shake off Astrid's grip, but she was too strong. "Let me go!" Mattie demanded, but Astrid just laughed, at her desperation.
