"I have a good relationship with Charlotte Linlin? What are you talking about?"
Stussy frowned slightly, her eyes narrowing.
Carlos continued, "Buckingham Stussy, you were once a member of Rocks' crew. I'm not wrong, am I?"
Stussy lightly stroked the ends of her hair. "It's not easy to dig up information on me... You must have heard it from Kaido."
She sighed. "Now that you know, there's no point in hiding it. Yes, I am Buckingham Stussy, but only a clone. I've inherited the original's memories, but those experiences don't concern me now."
"Don't worry. I won't betray you."
"Besides, the 30% seastone share from Wanokuni each year is a generous reward. Compared to others, you're a more valuable partner."
Carlos considered her words, then nodded slowly. "Alright, let's get back to our earlier discussion."
"The preparations are nearly complete. If you hand these over to Charlotte Linlin, it should trigger a war between the Beasts Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates."
Stussy picked up the file and skimmed through it quickly. "These treasures and the enlargement research report are enticing, but just the mention of Garros is enough to make Big Mom mobilize her forces."
Carlos smiled. "Yes, with her past failure fresh in mind, she won't miss this chance. There's a high probability that the entire Big Mom Pirates will be deployed."
"If everything goes as planned, Jack's fleet will be decimated."
Stussy set the document down, eyeing Carlos doubtfully. "This will weaken the Beasts Pirates significantly, using Linlin's forces. But aren't you worried Kaido will suspect you?"
Carlos shook his head slightly. "No. I'm working on the artificial Devil Fruit project and even suggested that Kaido send reinforcements."
"The more intense the battle, the better for us."
Stussy sighed. "Jack is one of your most loyal subordinates. Sacrificing him like this... It's ruthless."
Carlos smiled, saying nothing. He knew Jack well—this man wouldn't die so easily.
Stussy stood up from the sofa. "Since everything's in place, let's sit back and watch the show. It's getting late, so I should go."
"Don't worry. These items will be in Charlotte Linlin's hands soon."
"As for the 10,000 sets of Marine-standard equipment you requested, it's challenging to send them directly to Wanokuni."
Carlos thought for a moment. "Then send them here. I'll have Doflamingo transport them to Kuri under the guise of a caravan."
"No problem?"
Carlos smiled. "I'm the public face of the Beasts Pirates, and Kuri is under my jurisdiction. Moving some goods is no big deal. That's settled then—it's about time I left."
"Where to?"
"Cake Island."
Stussy's eyes widened. "Cake Island? Alone? Are you out of your mind?"
Cake Island is the headquarters of the Big Mom Pirates, surrounded by 34 other islands that make up the Totto Land Kingdom—all Charlotte Linlin's territory. Any ship not affiliated with the Big Mom Pirates is mercilessly destroyed upon entering.
"The entire Big Mom Pirates being deployed is a perfect opportunity to sneak into Cake Island."
"Not only to deal with the Beasts Pirates, but I also want to make the Big Mom Pirates pay dearly."
Carlos's eyes grew sharp. "Kid, just wait for me. Sooner or later, I'll extract your soul and make you endure endless pain and torture!"
These were the harsh words Big Mom had thrown at him at the Wanokuni Cliffs. Carlos never forgot them.
After discussing a bit more, the two parted ways at the port of Dressrosa.
Stussy prepared to return to Mariejois to report directly to the Five Elders and complete Carlos's task.
Meanwhile, Carlos set out for the Kingdom of Totto Land.
This trip not only solved the equipment issue but also brought in 4 billion Baileys and 20 Devil Fruits—a fruitful venture.
The situation in Wanokuni was also promising.
Denjiro reported that he had secretly recruited a samurai army of nearly ten thousand. With gold, silver, and jewels, nearly half of Orochi's Imperial Band defected to their side.
Carlos even managed to ally with Hyogoro of the Flowers. Under the pressure of the Beasts Pirates, the gang leader of Wanokuni was in dire straits. After a conversation, the two hit it off, and Hyogoro, along with hundreds of his followers, joined the fight against Kaido.
Responding to Hyogoro's call, other gang leaders like Omasa, Tsunagoro, and Yatabe also joined the cause.
As Kozuki Oden's daughter, Hiyori garnered more support than anyone else. She traveled the land, winning the favor of three regional daimyos: Nozomi, Suzugo, and Shirayomai, who pledged thousands of private soldiers to the cause.
Even in Zou, after a month of persuasion by Shutenmaru, Nekomamushi and Inuarashi finally decided to join the operation to reclaim Wanokuni. They led hundreds of Mink warriors toward the island.
These combined forces were formidable, but Carlos knew they weren't enough to bring down the Beasts Pirates alone. The Big Mom Pirates and Beasts Pirates had to destroy each other before he could seize the opportunity.
After several days of sailing, Carlos finally reached the border of the Kingdom of Totto Land. He abandoned his ship and summoned Valor, flying towards Cake Island.
Totto Land was vast, earning its name as the "Land of Ten Thousand Nations." Luckily, Carlos had obtained a permanent pointer to Cake Island from Doflamingo, so he didn't worry about getting lost.
After a day of flying, he finally spotted an island resembling a layered cake. Under the dim moonlight, he landed on the roof of a cake shop in the town center. Despite it being midnight, he still saw cookie soldiers patrolling the streets.
Carlos quietly infiltrated several rooms, using Veritaserum and the Sharingan's illusion to gather the information he needed.
A few days earlier, Charlotte Linlin had mobilized a large army, leaving only Cracker on Cake Island. He then used an [extremely realistic disguise mask] to transform into a patrolling biscuit soldier and made his way toward the massive castle in the town's center.
Without encountering any obstacles, he passed through numerous checkpoints and reached the deepest part of the castle, standing before a massive red stone monument.
This was the Road Poneglyph. Only by collecting all four of these could one find the coordinates to Raftel, the final island. Although Carlos had no interest in Roger's One Piece, he knew the value of this artifact and that it could prove useful in the future.
Just as he was about to make a rubbing of the Poneglyph, he heard the sound of rapid footsteps approaching. Carlos stopped and turned to see dozens of three-meter-tall biscuit soldiers, armed with long knives and shields, flooding into the hall surrounded by guards.
"An intruder, huh? You're clever to disguise yourself as a biscuit soldier."
"But you didn't account for one thing—the treasure room isn't on my patrol route!"
