Chapter 51 The Collision Of Justice, The Tense Marine Admiral

The storm gradually subsided.

However, Ghost Island had changed beyond recognition.

The castle that once stood at the center of the island was now reduced to ashes.

In its place was a massive, bottomless pit.

The surrounding ground had turned into glass-like crystals due to the intense heat, giving off an unpleasant burnt smell.

The immense force had caused countless spiderweb-like cracks to appear around the pit, spreading out into the distance.

From above, it looked as though the entire island was on the verge of collapsing.

Yamato, Denjiro, Kozuki Hiyori, and others rushed over.

Seeing Kaido lying unconscious in the pit,

Everyone seemed momentarily incredulous.

"It's finally over..."

"Garros, you did it! You defeated Kaido!"

Denjiro, filled with emotion, pointed to the sky.

"Your swordsmanship is truly extraordinary. Not only did you slay the giant dragon, but you also split the sky open. I dare say even the legendary Shimotsuki Ryoma wouldn't surpass that!"

"This legendary battle deserves to be recorded in history and remembered for generations!"

Carlos shook his head and pointed to the surrounding ruins.

"Neko Viper and Inuarashi seem to be seriously injured. Many samurai are probably affected as well. We need to hurry and help them."

"Also, find some more seastone chains to restrain Kaido. I can sense that he's not dead yet."

The final slash was the most powerful strike Carlos had ever made.

But it had also exhausted all his strength.

Now, moving his fingers felt extremely laborious.

Despite the effort, he had managed to defeat Kaido.

The slash that could tear the sky didn't even kill him. Kaido truly lived up to his reputation as the strongest creature in the world.

His vitality was incredibly resilient.

Carlos could confirm that Kaido had developed his Devil Fruit abilities to their ultimate level.

This battle had truly showcased the power of the Zoan Mythical Beast type.

Everyone immediately began the cleanup.

Kaido was bound by dozens of seastone chains as thick as his arms, wrapped tightly.

At this moment, Carlos could finally relax.

Just as he was about to take out his Den Den Mushi to notify the World Government,

Kozuki Hiyori approached him, though he hadn't noticed when she arrived.

"Mr. Garros, what are your plans now?"

Carlos smiled.

"With the Beasts Pirates defeated, it's time for me to leave."

Kozuki Hiyori hesitated for a moment before summoning the courage to continue:

"Could you... stay and help us rebuild Wano?"

"Stay?"

Carlos shook his head.

"I'm afraid not. I still have my own matters to attend to."

Seeing the disappointment in her eyes, Carlos sighed and gently patted her emerald green hair.

"Don't worry. You're the daughter of Kozuki Oden. With Kurozumi Orochi and the Beasts Pirates defeated, revitalizing Wano shouldn't be too difficult."

Kozuki Hiyori lowered her head, biting her lip gently.

"But I don't know how to govern this country. What if another pirate group tries to take over..."

Carlos sighed softly.

"Let me offer some advice."

"Relocate the residents from Weili Village, Jianlu Town, Boluo Town, Oden Castle, and other areas in the Jiuli region to safer places."

"Use the imprisoned members of the Beasts Pirates as free labor to mine seastone and produce weapons."

"You don't need to worry about sales. I've arranged it. The Donquixote family of Dressrosa will take 70% of the share each year. The relevant contracts are in my mansion. This will ensure Wano receives substantial funds."

"Though Doflamingo can be arrogant, with Denjiro and the others around, there's no need to worry too much. If he dares to violate the treaty, just go teach him a lesson. If that fails, contact me."

Carlos paused before continuing:

"The remaining 30 percent goes to the World Government."

"This portion doesn't need to generate profit. It serves as a bargaining chip to join the Allies."

"Once you've accumulated enough funds, use them to train an elite army. With Marine protection, no pirate will dare to trouble you."

Carlos spoke confidently,

And Kozuki Hiyori listened attentively.

"If it hadn't been for your help, we would have faced a long wait to restore Wano."

"Our Kozuki family will always remember your great kindness and never forget it!"

As she spoke, she removed a pendant with the Kozuki clan emblem and handed it to Carlos.

"If you ever need anything from us in the future, don't hesitate to ask."

"I will go through fire and water without hesitation!"

After saying this, she bowed deeply.

Carlos nodded silently.

If things went according to his plan,

Wano would become a powerful force in the future.

Some people think too far ahead, but the immediate concern is still how to deal with Kaido.

Killing him seemed unrealistic.

His physique was so formidable that even in a coma, he was not easily defeated.

It was best to leave him to the World Government.

Handing Kaido over to the World Government would complete the mission Carlos had set for himself.

His heart swelled with excitement at the thought of the upcoming reward.

Just as he was about to take out the Den Den Mushi, a powerful presence suddenly appeared in the distance.

Denjiro, Shutenmaru, and Kawamatsu also sensed something unusual and looked in that direction.

In the distance, two figures approached slowly.

"Garros, you actually defeated Kaido. Quite impressive."

"Internal strife? That saves us some trouble."

Carlos raised his eyebrows slightly.

"Akainu, Aokiji, I didn't expect you Marines to arrive so quickly."

Akainu snorted coldly.

"Are you not even a little nervous about our arrival? Or has the battle just now drained all your strength, leaving you ready to accept defeat?"

With just a glance, he could guess what had happened.

It was likely a rebellion while Kaido was severely injured.

Pirates would betray their comrades for some benefit without hesitation.

He had seen this many times and found it unsurprising.

Garros's swordsmanship, capable of splitting the sky, was impressive.

In a real fight, victory wasn't guaranteed.

If Garros had allied with Kaido,

Even if he and Aokiji combined, they might not defeat the Beasts Pirates.

Thinking this, Akainu's face showed a hint of disdain.

"Garros, if you could defeat Kaido, your strength is certainly impressive."

"But how much strength do you have left? If you want to survive, I suggest you not resist and come with us to Impel Down."

"Who are you? What do you want with him?"

Denjiro and Shutenmaru, hearing the commotion, hurried over, positioning themselves on either side of Carlos, casting hostile glances at Aokiji and Akainu.

Although they didn't know exactly where Impel Down was, they felt a strong sense of hostility from the words of the newcomers.

Akainu raised his eyebrows slightly.

"Oh? Allies?"

"In that case, let's all head to Impel Down together!"

Carlos replied calmly,

"Akainu, I defeated Kaido for you. Isn't that a bit inappropriate?"

A hint of mockery appeared in Akainu's eyes.

"Defeating Kaido for us? What a shameless claim."

"I suppose you don't know what happened at Punk Hazard recently, do you?"

"If we Marines hadn't severely injured Kaido and Big Mom there, would you have succeeded?"

Carlos sighed.

"Let me clarify."

"I'm with the CP under the World Government and an undercover agent in the Bailu Pirates."

"The meeting between Kaido and the Big Mom Pirates at Punk Hazard was arranged by me."

"I also provided you with information about the Marine's operation."

Akainu chuckled.

"You expect me to believe this nonsense?"

As a Marine Admiral and commander of the operation,

He had no reason not to know about undercover agents.

"Have you started fabricating stories to save yourself? It's quite pathetic."

Akainu shook his head, losing patience.

Half of his body transformed into red-hot lava, with black smoke billowing.

Lava at thousands of degrees dripped onto the ground, burning holes with a hissing sound.

His indifferent eyes and murderous intent were palpable.

Denjiro, Shutenmaru, and the others felt alarmed and drew their weapons, assuming a defensive stance.

After finally defeating the Beasts Pirates, they now faced another formidable enemy!

Akainu's eyes darkened slightly as he said bluntly:

"Step aside. I won't kill unknown people."

At that moment, a beautiful figure suddenly appeared between the two parties.

"Miss Hiyori! Watch out!"

"Get out of the way!"

Kozuki Hiyori spoke with determination:

"You can't just arrest him!"

Although she didn't fully understand the situation, she couldn't stand by and watch Carlos be taken away.

Akainu's expression darkened as he replied harshly:

"Where did you come from, little girl? Get out of here!"

Kozuki Hiyori stood her ground, arms outstretched, though her body trembled with fear.

She mustered all her courage and asked Akainu loudly:

"Marine! Where were you when the Beasts Pirates invaded Wano and took over the country ten years ago?"

"Where were you when Kaido and Kurozumi were exploiting the people, forcing them to live in poverty and drink sewage just to survive?"

Akainu's face remained expressionless, and he snorted softly.

"Wano is not a member of the World Government, and Marine has no jurisdiction here."

"Then why do you want to arrest Garros? He is not only my friend but also the hero who saved this country!"

"As a descendant of the Kozuki clan and the new ruler of Wano, I solemnly warn you."

"Get out of here! You're not welcome in Wano!"

Despite her small and seemingly weak appearance, Kozuki Hiyori showed remarkable resolve.

Akainu's face grew increasingly grim as he looked at the samurai gathering around them.

"My patience is running thin. I'm warning you one last time: step aside."

"Otherwise, die!"

The magma on his body roiled, causing the temperature around them to rise sharply.

Carlos reached out and pulled the girl behind him.

"Akainu, it seems you're determined to take me to Impel Down. I hope you won't regret this decision."

Akainu narrowed his eyes slightly, his murderous intent evident.

"Regret? I've changed my mind."

"Are you trying to establish a puppet regime in Wano, managing the country from behind the scenes?"

"It seems Marine underestimated your threat. So... die here!"

"Great Eruption!"

Akainu raised his massive lava fist and blasted it toward everyone in front of him!

Suddenly,

A white figure charged forward.

"Thunder Eight Trigrams!"

Boom!

A violent roar exploded in everyone's ears.

The shockwave from the collision swept outward.

Akainu staggered slightly and focused intently.

A tall, graceful girl stood before him,

Holding a mace in one hand and placing the other on her hip. She spoke fiercely:

"Arresting people indiscriminately—what's the difference between you Marines and the Beasts Pirates!"

Akainu's face darkened.

There was no doubt that the woman in front of him was an ally of Garros.

Although it was only a brief exchange, he could feel her strength.

And she wasn't alone.

From the sharp eyes, subtle movements, and the aura of the other two warriors,

It was clear they were at least as strong as a Vice Admiral from Marine Headquarters.

Akainu frowned deeply and pulled out his Den Den Mushi from his pocket.

"What's the situation over there? Why haven't you reported in yet?"

A helpless voice came from Onigumo on the other end of the line.

"Sakazuki Admiral, a large number of civilian ships have appeared near the port, and they keep coming."

"The leader is Kozuki Sukiyaki, who organized this operation."

"Our warships can't enter the port!"

Akainu was momentarily stunned, then coldly snapped:

"Onigumo, what are you waiting for?"

"Bombard them immediately and scatter this rabble!"

"Sakazuki, are you crazy?"

Aokiji, who had been silent for a long time, suddenly stepped in front of Akainu.

"Kuzan, are you going to stop me too?"

Aokiji placed his hands in his pockets, and icy white air emanated from his body.

The surrounding ground quickly froze, spreading in all directions.

In the vast white mist, his expression was obscured.

"They are just innocent civilians!"

"I will not allow another tragedy like Ohara to happen!"

Akainu replied calmly:

"Civilians? They're just a bunch of pirates!"

"As Marines, it is our duty to capture pirates."

"Are you going to trample on my justice, Kuzan?"
