Chapter 105: The Power To Destroy Heaven And Earth, Carlos’S Ambition

The waters near Beehive Island.

A fleet of over ten pirate ships and warships sailed through the sea. On the largest battleship at the center of the fleet, Aokiji approached the captain's quarters, holding a document. His lips twitched slightly in hesitation.

"Is that you, Kuzan? Come in," a deep voice echoed from within the room.

Swallowing his nerves, Aokiji opened the door and stepped inside.

"Boss Kaido, we've assessed the situation," Aokiji said. "More than 80 percent of Beehive Island has been completely destroyed. It's estimated that in ten minutes, the island will sink into the sea—forever."

Kaido set down the bottle of wine he was holding and let out a soft sigh.

He hadn't expected things to turn out like this.

An hour earlier, he had transformed into his dragon form—no, more accurately, his "World Destroyer" form. After the ultimate power of the blue dragon fruit, combined with the demigod-like Deathwing bloodline, he finally understood just how terrifying his strength had become.

With a single breath, he had not only severely injured the transformed Bullet, but also pierced straight through Beehive Island. A massive, bottomless pit had formed in the center of the island, reaching down to the seabed.

Everything—buildings, rocks, soil, seawater—anything touched by the breath had been annihilated completely. Shortly after, a colossal earthquake, triggered thousands of meters deep underwater, had caused tremors that stretched hundreds of kilometers away. The already fragile island couldn't escape its fate, crumbling and sinking amid natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, and typhoons.

Still, Kaido didn't seem overly concerned.

Originally, his plan had been to establish Beehive Island as the base of the Dragon Pirates to conquer the New World. But now, it was out of his hands.

Pirates, after all, called the entire world their home. They wandered wherever they pleased. What he truly cared about were the treasures on the island—and one prisoner in particular.

Aokiji paused, then continued his report.

"After taking stock, the 200 billion Beli stored on the warship is intact. However, of the 120 billion Beli that Bullet brought back, only about 80 billion remains. Despite mobilizing everyone to salvage what they could, time was too short. This is the best we could recover."

"Additionally, Bullet was severely injured, though he's no longer in critical condition. As for the officers—Shiryu of the Rain, Vasco Shot of the Big Barrel, and Cetarina the Black Moon Hunter—they've been confirmed dead. Including the lower-ranked pirates, the total casualties amount to two thousand five hundred and twenty."

Kaido waved his hand dismissively.

"If they couldn't even withstand the aftermath of the battle, then they deserve to die."

"How's that one guy doing?" Kaido asked after a brief pause.

Aokiji blinked, realizing who Kaido was referring to.

"Gild Tesoro? He's fine," Aokiji responded. "In fact, he's eager to see you."

"Oh? Then bring him in."

As Aokiji left the room, Kaido took a long swig from his bottle. He didn't know if it was Kaido's influence on his body, but he had grown fond of drinking, often taking a sip whenever there was a moment of peace.

No matter what, after utterly defeating Shiryu, Bullet, and the others, and obliterating Beehive Island with a single blow, Kaido had truly solidified his position as the leader of the Dragon Pirates.

Having witnessed the sheer world-destroying power with their own eyes, no one in the crew could oppose him now. As pirates, they knew better than anyone the importance of power.

For them, it was clear.

In their eyes, Kaido had obtained the power of a god.

And more than half of the Dragon Pirates had now become his devoted followers.

"Now, I have fully taken control of the Dragon Pirates."

"The strength of this clone is surprisingly formidable. It's almost on par with the original body."

A conservative estimate puts both the main body and the clone at the peak of Whitebeard's strength—and they might even surpass it!

With the combined power of the Marine and the Dragon Pirates, even if the World Government has hidden resources, they shouldn't be able to pose a threat.

"So, shall we fight?"

Kaido's eyes gleamed with an indefinable ambition.

After a moment, he shook his head slightly.

"No, it's not time for that yet. There are still many uncertainties. The Whitebeard Pirates, the Red-Haired Shanks, the Revolutionary Army, and... Im!"

The World Government has lasted for eight hundred years. If what is known is only the surface, no one would believe it. They must have hidden cards up their sleeves.

Kaido exhaled slowly, pushing down the wild thoughts in his mind.

"With Vegapunk's technological creations, the Marine is growing stronger by the day. With these two hundred and eighty billion Beli, it would be easy to pull the Marine away from the World Government's control. But I want to provoke them into confronting me first."

"The World Government will have to wait for its chance."

"In the meantime, this substantial amount of funds can be put to good use. It could be invested in Vegapunk's technological research, used to accumulate even more wealth, or to support some military forces and win over non-aligned countries."

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Aokiji, the Evil King, and several other pirate leaders escorted a man in a pink suit into the room.

Despite being handcuffed with seastone cuffs, the man remained calm and composed.

"Gild Tesoro, right? I hear you wanted to see me?"

Tesoro nodded eagerly and asked,

"Kaido, I've heard about you."

"I just have one question. Did you really attack the World Government's fleet and steal their Heavenly Gold?"

The unexpected question caught everyone off guard.

One of the imposing pirate leaders scowled, kicked Tezzolo, and shouted,

"Watch your attitude, kid! Show some respect to Boss Kaido, or else..."

Kaido waved his hand dismissively, showing little concern.

Tesoro's past was marked by hardship. His family was poor, and his father was a gambler. He had run away from home, surviving through theft and gambling. He had fallen in love with a slave named Stella and worked tirelessly to raise money to free her. Just as he was about to gather enough funds, the Celestial Dragons appeared and bought Stella easily.

Furious, Tesoro tried to confront the Celestial Dragons, but was captured and became their slave. Fortunately, he was later freed by Fisher Tiger during the slave liberation incident in the Holy Land.

Though his wealth and influence grew, connecting him with the Celestial Dragons, he would still occasionally think of Stella—the beautiful voice, the happy moments they shared.

As for revenge? It had long been buried deep within him.

With his growing wealth and status, he gradually saw the world's harsh realities. The World Government was an insurmountable force. Even with 20% of the world's wealth and being the richest person, he couldn't challenge the Celestial Dragons. They were gods in his eyes!

But the man before him...
