OVERWHELMING TROUBLE(episode 4)

Chris shouted like a lunatic as he ran into the house to confirm if his wife was missing indeed. More to reality, he could not find his wife anywhere around the house. He sat miserably on his bed,lost in thought and at that same interval,it occurred to him that his only child,Dan, was still at school. It was a Friday and schools usually dismissed early. And today was no exception, just that parents had earlier been informed to come pick their kids more on time. Owing to routine, Nora had the responsibility of taking Dan to school and bringing him back home but now she wasn't around,it fell on Chris.

Chris immediately changed his outfit and rushed to Dan's school to pick him up. Dan saw his father from afar and out of excitement,ran across the road to meet him. Unfortunately, he collided with a motorcycle and fell to the ground. The motorcyclist quickly geared up and drove off. Chris ran to where his son laid helplessly. Dan was unconscious and bleeding profusely from the head.

At once, Chris carried his son and rushed him to a nearby hospital. Sadly, the Doctor refused to commence treatment on the little boy until Chris had settled his bills. As at that time, Chris had no money on him. He was also running out of money. Howbeit, he trekked to a close bank, desperately withdrew all the money in his account and after settling the required bills, he had five hundred thousand Naira left.

Prior to Chris leaving for home to see what he could do concerning his wife's issue, he informed the Doctor that he would come back later on to take his son along. Then,on his way home,a group of bandit waylaid him. They beat him up and took away the money he had on him. Chris yelled for help but no one could come to his aid.
